The guide was very knowledgeable and kind and shared a lot of very interesting facts and stories about the city and all the sites we walk by. Will highly recommend this tour for anyone!!

Very much worth having a guide to take tou around. Ours was very knowledgeable and really talked us through the history and thr culture. No phones in the temple so be prepared to leave them in a shop where tou will feel somewhat pressured to buy stuff afterwards. But nice guys and not too much of a hard sell. Take water as well..

Very happy I did this tour. I got to learn so much about Madurai from Prakash who is professional and very knowledgeable about the city and it’s history. We visited a variety of places and I was able to discover parts of temples that I wouldn’t have known about on my own. Overall, I found this tour to be very informative and interesting, and a great way to understand more about the richness of Madurai. I’d definitely recommend it to others.

The guide was very friendly and informative. We walked around several interesting market streets on the way from the palace to Sri Meenakshi temple that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. He is a fountain of information about the Sri Meenakshi temple, so you will learn a great deal about it with him.

Great tour - our guide was friendly and gave us a good balance of space to look around at our leisure but also answer any questions. It was great for me, as a foreigner, to see the Meenakshi temple with a tour guide, because he was able to get me into areas I would not have been able to see otherwise. We spent one day at the temple before our tour, and we got so much more out of it the second time with the guide! The tour really enriched my experience in Madurai.

Great place to visit. It takes 4-5 hrs from Madurai to reach the temple. We had stayed their for a night and nearby places are also good.

Very professional guide for a walk around town with some tourist trap shopkeeper exposure, which was tolerable. We tried local drinks and he was very patient and knowledgeable.

The walk tour took us to the lesser known temples in Madhurai with rich history and legends behind it nevertheless. Our guide was knowledgeable and was able to take us thru with ease. But, our timing was not right. April is start of summer and we underestimated TN sunlight and heat… we covered a majority of the route in a AC car since I was travelling with 2 kids. Aged 10 and 12! But the tour as such is totally worth it!! The limited walk that we did was also uphill and strenuous so keep that in mind.

Prakash is a knowledgeable and gracious guide. He is generous with his time and obviously has a deep understanding of the history and mythology of Madurai. His access to the inner areas of the Meenakshi Amman temple was the highlight of the tour. It was a simply fabulous evening

The trip is very smooth and enjoyable. Very safe. Stayed at Rams inn and the food is also good. In total, the entire trip is quite enjoyable
