What to Expect
You will be picked up from your hotel in Lucknow and will be escorted in your private air-conditioned vehicle to Kaiserbagh Palace Complex at approx. 01:30 PM.

Upon arrival, meet your local guide. On this walking tour, we explore the Kaiserbagh Palace Complex. You will see old pictures and maps of this Palace in its heyday which highlight its beauty. Kaiserbagh Palace Complex in Lucknow was built between 1848 - 1850 by Wajid-Ali-Shah, the last Nawab of Awadh. He was a great connoisseur of art and architecture. He wanted this Palace to be regarded as one of the wonders of the world. The palace has well laid out landscaped gardens, Moorish minarets, Hindu umbrellas, lanterns and pediments. At the center of the palace is the white stone structure named Baradari. Initially this structure was entirely covered with silver. The palace also has gilt crowns, Mughal style pavilions and European style statues throughout.

The tour includes tea at the Kotwara House, a small part of Kaiserbagh, now the abode of Indian filmmaker, Muzaffar Ali. While enjoying your tea, u will watch a clip from his classic film, “Umrao Jaan”. This film was inspired by the culture of Lucknow and was filmed extensively in Kaiserbagh.

Upon conclusion of your tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in Lucknow.
