Our driver took us to the temple, he was early to pick us up and a good driver. The tour description on TripAdvisor states we would get a Balinese cultural walk and talk through the temple, the driver didn’t speak to us about anything and just showed us the way around the temple. After walking to 3 spots to take photos, he then gave us our tickets to the show. The show stadium is ridiculous the way they pack it in, you are squished in next to thousands of people for this show, and they were still squishing people into the pathways and exits on the ground throughout the show. The show itself was interesting, you need to follow along on the sheet they give you to understand it fully. It was good to see, an experience for sure, but would definitely not do it again. After the show, the driver took us back to the hotel, on the tour description it says he would offer a dinner spot at personal expense, but he didn’t mention any intent to stop. Overall, the driver (Ketut Purnama) needs a little more experience about the temple so he is able to discuss things with tourists, aswell as knowing the details of what the tour states guests are paying for. We drove 1.5hr from Seminyak to get to this show. So all up it was a 3hr transit for a couple of temple photos and a 40min show, if you are staying in Uluwatu then it’s worth checking out if you want to deal with the insane amount of people, however it’s not worth a long drive that’s for sure.

The dance was a great experience, we were late booking so had second show but seeing the sunset from the temple was great. Be aware of long waits in line. Our driver Arev was awesome and was very handy when dealing with monkeys at the temple. Thank you

We really loved the Kecak and Fire Dance show. Surya was very friendly and explained much about his culture on the way to Uluwatu. He was helpful and parked close to the event, so it was super easy to leave later. Buying our tickets, defending us from cheeky monkeys who knew exactly what they were doing, and taking us to some epic cliff and Indian ocean views and photos of our family—this experience was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. From the moment we met him, Surya's warm hospitality and extensive knowledge of his culture were evident. Surya shared fascinating insights about the history and significance of the Kecak dance. He also patiently answered all our questions, making this not just a sightseeing trip but an enriching cultural experience. The Kecak and Fire Dance show at Uluwatu. And there's no better way to fully immerse yourself in traditional Balinese art form than with Surya as your guide.

Do NOT book this tour. This is NOT a tour, it’s just transportation. The guide did not speak English. There was no explanation provided for the temple or the dance (again, not a tour). We had to wait in a massive line for the Kecak dance (even though the description on Tripadvisor states “guaranteed to skip the lines”). The entire experience took 4.5 hours, over 1 hour was waiting to get into the dance (waiting was an absolute waste of time, we should’ve arrived at the temple an hour later to just avoid this 1-hour waiting period). After waiting, we had to slowly shuffle through an over-crowded line to get into the dance (another 30 mins at least). The driver tried to seat us in the back, when there was still a few seats in the front row. Not sure how this was possible, given the line, but if we had followed him, we would’ve had the worst seats at the dance. The temple was picturesque, the monkeys are cool (but aggressive), and the dance was great, however; I feel mislead and ripped off. You’re better off getting dance tickets online yourself or booking an actual tour with a reputable company (there were actual tour guides at the temple).

We booked Sury for the first time for the Uluwatu temple dance. He was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and serviceminded. We appriciated his service so much, that we ended up booking him for further 6 more trips during our stay. We highly reccomend Sury. If you want a friendly driver, guide and photographer in one, Sury is the one!

Amazing trip seeing all the beaches in West Nusa Penida. Kelingking Beach and Crystal Beach were the highlights. Our guide, Womang, was really great as well. Do request him if you can. Lunch spot was good also

We visited Uluwatu with our guide, who was excellent at guiding us through the area and cautious with the monkeys. Kedak was fantastic and tailored the experience to our preferences. The performance was great, loved every bit of it. Try to go bit early to check the sunset and also before going to Uluwatu make time to head to Garuda Vishnu Statue/park

What a beautiful experience, even though it was raining out the performers danced anyways, the costumes were amazing, and I loved the storyline. ♥️

Sury was amazing! We got in touch with him a day before and realized we wanted him to help us out on our very time limited tour as he seemed incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped us arrange the day in a way that we would run away from the crowds, see the places we really hoped to see, he brought us to a great restaurant with very good prices, he kept recommending cheaper, more authentic, less touristy places etc. Sury was also very knowledgeable and willing to share about local culture, traditions and practices. Extremely respectful, and with an open mind. Picked us up at the hotel, dropped me off at the airport - overall, very flexible and accommodating. If I had the chance to visit Bali (not for work next time) I would most definitely reach out again.

Yesterday we visited Uluwatu temple and watch the Kecak dance at sunset. It was an amazing experience and we were accompanied by our driver Sury who picked us up from the hotel, helped organise the tickets and walked with us through the temple grounds taking photos and don’t let the monkeys get too close. He is extremely friendly and also knows a lot about the area such as where to go afterwards for dinner. Will definitely book him again for any tour needed on the island. Highly recommended!

Just finished the day tour in Uluwatu and couldn't end this experience without showing appreciation for Sury, the greatest guide ever!!! Very kind, helpful, knowledgeable and a great driver. He made my friend and I feel like we were visiting Uluwatu with another friend of ours. Such a good person! His recommendations for food and places to visit, were the greatest! Best food we ever tried in Bali with the most reasonable price...especially during the sunset by the beach. Incredible! Knowing every bits and pieces of information about the island, he provided us with details regarding history, economy, tourism, coffee production in Bali, etc., and even took us to the Pecatu Agrotourism where we tried a very special coffee. Sury made sure to pick us up and drop off at the desired locations...and last but not least, he helped us anywhere getting the entrance tickets, took pictures anytime we needed, and made us feel very safe while walking in the Uluwatu temple forest where we faced many monkeys on the way.
