Good value, great way to get to know the country
Jan 2020
This was an easy tour to take, it is mostly all downhill, the bikes were quite good and easy to handle and the route was I thought well thought out.

I liked the easy roll that you can take on this tour, looking at the country sites, the temples, the balinese house that we visited. It's relaxing and you get to know a little bit more about the country you have visited. Our guide was very good, taking care of us on the road and providing commentary along the way.

Nice lunch at the end. A really nice (not too) active day on your holiday. Would recommend this to anyone

Great tour, friendly team and fantastic experience.

Our highlight was visiting a local coffee plantation and the volcano. Our tour guides (Agus and Nyoman) were very friendly and provided us elaborate information on the local culture. Bikes were great quality and adjusted for height of riders. Very easy bike ride, predominantly all down hill (so if you are an advanced rider looking for a more challenging ride you may want to try something different).

We couldn’t rate this experience any higher. The guides and driver were all amazing and so attentive, patient, and very knowledgeable and professional. The added surprise of a visit to a proper Balinese home was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you so much Bali friends!

Great day out.
Definatly a must when in bali. Great tour and 95% downhill which gives you time to really soak it in. Our guide August was fantastic and really too time to explain all the stops in detail.

Great afternoon cycle ride - experiencing the Bali countryside
We had a fantastic tour with our guide August. The ride was downhill virtually all the way with very little pedalling required. The bikes are new front suspension mountain bikes and there are a good choice of sizes. We cycled trough the rice fields and villages and the scenery was fantastic. August explained village life and made it interesting and informative. The tour ended at a restaurant for a late lunch of satay and rice. I would heartily recommend this tour.

Great afternoon out, cycling down hill With a friendly and informative guide. We got to see how the real Balinese people live and took in the tropical views whilst cycling through villages and rice fields and jungle.

Predominantly downhill, picturesque, informative and safe.

Bike correctly sized and mechanically in good condition with time to get used to gears and brakes before commencing. Plenty of stops for brief information sessions and to keep the group together. Back-up vehicle following group except for the few main road crossings that weren’t really too busy but traffic controlled by the back-up driver regardless. Generally followed quiet local roads with occasional farm roads through the rice fields. Bottled water provided for each rider at the start with a tasty local meal following completion after about four hours of easy riding. The afternoon tour began at a small coffee and tea producer with five/six small samples of both teas and coffees, all were free except the Lawak which was an optional extra. We have cycled in many locations and would definitely recommend this one.

Nice tour, bikes require some maintenance.
Nice tour, could possibly be shortened (not that km are a problem, but you see a lot of the same thing. Shorter trip would provide more time to explore). Bike condition could be improved. Had bike malfunction 2km from the end, chain came off for no reason (think it was just worn and tired) causing nasty wipeout, besides superficial external wounds, wrists badly injured internally but luckily the helmet was on as this took a beating but saved my head. Back brakes (which we were advised to use obviously) were only working 50%. Friendly knowledgeable guide, great view for breakfast. coffee stop was very interesting

No show - no way of contacting - may be a scam!
We booked and paid for the afternoon cycle trip with Bali Hidden Bike via Trip Advisor/Avator. We gave all our details and received an email confirmation of our booking.
On the day, no one turned up. We waited two hours in the hotel lobby. We tried calling repeatedly and emailing but no answer. There is no way of contacting this group to find out what is going on.
Eventually we gave up and have asked for a refund which we are still waiting for. Even the Trip Advisor representative could not contact this group.
This may be a scam. If they were legitimate, why don’t they have a phone number that they answer? Customers will have questions on the day or wonder when they are being picked up. Not turning up or answering calls is not acceptable.
Unfortunately we never got to do the cycling trip we were looking forward to.
Do not make the same mistake.
Do not use this bike company!

The great outdoors

Booking this tour was a leap of faith - no local telephone number given for further information until booked and paid for (credit card only) online via Viator. Nevertheless our guide was friendly, informative and flexible - we viewed the volcano and lake rather than visiting the coffee plantation (been there, done that). The helmets and bikes were passable, although before setting off the chain on the bike my father was given broke - his fault? The day was cool and cloudy, so the ride was not exhausting by any means. Got to see a ceremonial parade, as well as the rice fields with a 'late' lunch/'early' dinner to finish. Good fun!
