About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- tarabY2083YP0 contributionsBatur sunriseThe tour is well organised, our driver Gading picked us up at 2:30 am. Then Roman our mountain guide took us to Mt Batur, he was lovely and told us about the volcano, he also took pictures of us. The hike difficulty is medium. Keep in mind that this is a very touristic spot, so you’ll meet dozens of people up there. If you love solo hiking then don’t.Written 27 September 2024
- 691addyl0 contributionsMount Batur tripTour guide name Gusmang is very good service for us. This trip is very amazing and memorable. We have a good sunrise view and and hotspring experience.Written 21 September 2024
- berangerew20240 contributionsA sunrise will not forget😃Go to mount Batur by night was a great experience! 😃 Our driver Kinyong was very nice! Our Guide Gude was very kind, good vibes, we have good moments! The only think we didn't like it's the motorbike who climb too with tourist near by us! But even that, that was EXCEPTIONAL😃Written 20 September 2024
- tonypT7866MI0 contributionsNot what it seems and a lot of dubious stuff going on.I am going to be honest with this review as I have had to make a second account: - The driver is fine, but they constantly ask you to write a good review and send a screenshot of the review. This created a strange pressure worsened by the language barrier. It is my suspicion they do not get paid by their bosses unless their bosses receive this screenshot. This makes them a victim also so it is a difficult situation where they come off as desperate and it also explains why the reviews are all so perfect and mentioning the drivers names. - The sunrise itself is beautiful, but two things, it is incredibly weather dependent, we got lucky, but others didn't. Secondly, the jeeps don't actually go anywhere near the top, actually about 1/4 to the top, but the view is still great. Our jeep driver also went out of his way to take photos of us at the sunrise and was very good at taking them and did not charge and was not overbearing or annoying. - the company is clearly in cahoots with the hot springs and the coffee plantation. I would highly recommend not doing either of these. Firstly, the springs is horrible. It is a tourist trap as the geothermal heat is clearly not enough for these types of springs and they are just glorified heated pools. Due to the adjacent lake there is an abysmal amount of flies. The facilities are disgusting. We did not bother with the food as the flies were already an annoyance in the pool. The 'free drink' with the tour is either a bottle of water or whatever glass of cheap juice they have en masse that day. - the coffee plantation pretends it is one. It is also a tourist trap and has a caged wild animal that is associated with coffee, a civet, it is clearly not a coffee farm and they clearly do not grow anything of significance, the products looked low quality and were overpriced as luxury when they were actually cheap and instant grounds that were repackaged. - the tour itself should most likely be about 30 pounds per person but they buff it out due to this cohesion with the local tourist traps. - we did not bother with the breakfast as the activities after the sunrise soured our mood. I would not recommend doing this if you are a genuine person who does not like to confront scammers while they are subtly scamming you.Written 20 September 2024

The hike is tough, but once you get on the top it's really spectacular: you wait almost one hour for the sun to rise enjoying the view of Mount batur, the clouds and the provided breakfast. - Scenic509863602600 contributionsMust-do in BaliIt was the most wonderful experience of my trip to Bali. Although it was difficult to leave early in the morning, it was very comfortable to enjoy because it supported all the means of transportation. The sunrise and its scenery are so beautiful that I will never forget them for the rest of my life. But don't forget to pack warm clothes in advance because the weather is cold at dawn. I was cold. The three mountains combined with the wonderful clouds seen in Black lava are perfect for photography. While enjoying the hot spring, my body, which was cold at dawn, warms up and I can feel happiness. Lion, who guided Jeep tour, was kind, fun, and drove so well that he could make an unforgettable trip.Written 10 August 2024

Totally worth the early wake up call! Our driver, Subrata, was on time and got us to our guide easily. Subrata also then took us to a hidden waterfall and we were the only ones there it was awesome. He was so friendly and the best driver!
Our guide, Wayan boring, was the absolute best!!!! So nice and made sure our whole group got up safely. He also took us to a spot at the top that wasn’t crowded, and brought us banana sandwiches, hot chocolate, and hard boiled eggs! He took amazing pictures and videos, you could tell he cared about his hikers.

This trip was amazing, I highly recommend booking if you are visiting Ubud. Our day started early at 2:30am when we were picked up by our wonderful driver Rapa. He was very punctual, polite and friendly. When we arrived to the hike area, there were snacks and coffee available. The hike was difficult but fully worth it. The views were stunning once the sunrise started!! And hiking back down was amazing as well as you get to see so many views of you don’t even expect. Roman and Rina were our guides at mount Batur, they were also very attentive and fun to hike with. They also took great photos and videos of us!
Rapa picked up back up from the hiking tour and showed us amazing views of Lake Batur , and was very patient when we wanted to take photos. He even gave us some the history of the area and about Bali along the way. We did have some traffic, but we really enjoyed hanging out and chatting with Rapa along the way. Thanks so much for a great ride Rapa!! Would definitely recommend him to others doing this tour.

We had a great time watching the sunrise on the mountain! The hike is strenuous but worth it. It was very hot hiking up and down but very cold and windy at the top as you wait for the sun. Our driver, Dekwan Selem, was punctual and gracious enough to drive into our villas driveway that wasn’t paved just to get us back sooner. He was understanding of the fact that my husband wasn’t feeling well and drove as carefully as possible to make the ride bearable. Our guide on the mountain was very experienced and patient as we had others in our group that couldn’t keep up his pace.

Excellent experience from start to finish. 🤩Arrived early, comfy car, safe driving and good conversation. The trek was well guided, safe, and had wonderful sights. Food provided at the top was greatly appreciated after the early climb. 🙌
Rounding off the day with the coffee tour and waterfall really made the day memorable 😊 Thanks so much to “get your guide”, I highly recommend this 👊

Hike: Rapa picked us up from our Ubud airbnb on time (2:30am) and was a pleasure. Got in touch via WhatsApp the day prior to remind us what we needed for the trip (as listed), which was much appreciated. Tea, coffee, water and biscuits were available before the hike. Toilet also available. Our guides were Teki and Synthia. They were fun and encouraging as we struggled up a steep hike. We’ve hiked difficult routes before, but the steepness really got to us. Around 40 minutes in, we came to a rest stop where motors were available to take the rest of the way for ~350k IDR/person. Really glad it was an option because we knew we’d have to take many breaks and we didn’t want to miss the sunrise. We still had about a 15 minute hike after the motor drop-off. Views were amazing!!! Teki and Synthia made us very comfortable and conversation was great! Food and drinks available to buy - make sure to bring cash.
Waterfall: We chose to go to Kanto Lampo… beautiful. There are people there that will take your photos and guide your poses haha. Great experience :)
Rapa told us there was an option to go to a luwak coffee plantation post hike, but we passed on it as we went to one on another day. Highly recommend that too though.
Everyone was wonderful. I hope you get a chance to meet Rapa, Teki, and Synthia on your trip! Btw, having WhatsApp is a great tool for booking things in Bali :)

It is very well organized and our driver “Tomblos” was on time, very kind to us, when we came down from Mount Batur we were unlucky, the weather turned to rain, he offered to take us to see a coffee plantation.
He accompanied us to the waterfalls, very pretty, not from the world like everywhere else. He adapted to our rhythm, we were tired of our ascent.
Our Guide “Agush” (not sure how to spell it correctly) to climb Mount Batur was also super nice, he knows a little French , he explained a lot to us, breakfast was good.
It was difficult for us because we are beginners but we succeeded (we got help;-) )
I recommend this agency and its guides, they are kind, kind and funny besides 😉

Hiking Mount Batur was a highlight of our time in Bali! It’s more strenuous than we expected (1,5hrs steep uphill and about an hour downhill) but the view at sunrise was spectacular! Even with lots of fog and some clouds it was magical! Pasek was our driver and he was great! After the hike he took us to a coffee plantation and to see the Manuaba waterfall. It was challenging to walk to see the waterfall after the volcano hike as my knees were hurting from the downhill but it was totally worth it!

Very nice experience ! I went on a solo trip and met some nice girls at the mount.
My very nice driver Sapir picked me up in Canggu at 1:30 am and drove me to the mount. At 4 am we started to climb for 1,5 hours (be ready to sweat haha 😅 ). Our guide Wayan was really helpful and nice, always asking if we’re good. The breakfast he prepared after the hiking was very nice as we were starving when we arrived all the way up haha (you can also bring some snacks). The sunset and the way down were really worth if, very beautiful view. I also brought my tripod for pics.
After we went to a small coffee plantation next Ubud, it was ok but not very impressive.
And the last step was the Kanto Lampo Waterfall. I really enjoyed my time there and took good pics, I was lucky to go when there were not a lot of people.
Pretty good adventure over all☺️

This was one of the most physically demanding experience I’ve ever done!
Sar our guide helped us so much along the way taking breaks whenever we needed it and helping us up the really steep and rocky parts.
Bring good shoes, bring an extra jacket or jumper if you can because you will sweat and it’s really cold once you’re at the top. Bring a backpack but don’t bring water as they’ll provide a bottle for you and a walking stick.
There are motorcycles to take you up and down (for a price). We took the motorcycle down but it’s probably better to take it up and then walk down and enjoy the view but again it is very steep!

Well organized hike with local guides and nice visit to waterfalls. For the hiking, there were small groups of 5 assigned to each guide to take care of you. Many stops/breaks to relax through the dedicated spaces. Water & light food provided. Time well managed to enjoy the sunrise in the summit. The driver was very kind and helpful.
