Overview

Discover Israel's Biblical sites on a small-group tour from Tel Aviv that includes Nazareth, Tiberias, Cana, the Sea of Galilee, and Yardenit. Choosing a small group tour means you cover more ground in one day, visiting places identified in the New Testament as where Jesus lived as a child, taught, was baptized, and performed miracles, including the Cana wedding and the miracle of the loaves and fishes.

What to Expect

Meet a driver at your hotel in Tel Aviv, and then follow the scenic coastal highway to Nazareth where Jesus is believed to have spent much of his childhood. Have a look at the Basilica of the Annunciation and St. Joseph’s Church, built on sites where Mary and Joseph are believed to have lived and worked.

From there, continue to Kfar Cana, site of the Biblical water-to-wine miracle, before heading to the Sea of Galilee. Visit the ancient city of Capernaum to see an excavated synagogue where Jesus is believed to have taught, and then take in views of the Golan Heights from Tabgha, thought to be the site of the Biblical miracle of loaves and fishes.

The final stop of the day is the Jordan River, where Jesus is believed to have been baptized at Yardenit.

The day concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

The tour started off with a bumpy start, picking me up 1 hour later than expected. I wasn’t too fussed as I’d read other reviews that mentioned these tours weren’t exactly punctual. Our tour of 10 people was led by Ariel and he was a...More
