We visited Sri Lanka for one week and had the pleasure of being guided by Kalum for the whole time. You can sense Kalum's long experience from everything he does. We had to change original plans and he instantly had new plans ready for us that we could do. He also adapted really well to our needs and what we can do. I first did a tour to Sigiriya and Kandy with Kalum in 2015 - it was a fantastic experience as he was very knowledgeable, reliable and friendly. When I came to Sri Lanka again this year and needed help with getting from Colombo to Bentota, I was happy to see that Kalum was still in business after the pandemic and fuel crisis. This time I was travelling alone and in the evening, so I wanted to go with a driver I trusted and was happy Kalum was available! Each time he has arrived before the planned pick up time, he drives in a safe way, and is also a caring person - for example, he gave me additional safety tips for using tuktuks during my stay in Bentota. My friend and I spent 5 days with Kalum doing a tour of Kandy, Dambulla, Pollonaruwa and Sigiriya from Negombo. We had a great time and everything was perfect. Kalum is both a great driver and guide, he is very punctual and was always on time, we really enjoyed his company in all our sightseeing. He gave us really good recommendations and was very flexible when we wanted to make any changes to our original plan. I highly recommend Kalum, we felt we were really in safe hands with him.

My wife and I are extremely grateful for Kalum for our senven-day trip in Sri Lanka. He was very kind and easy to talk to throughout the whole journey. He did not just drive us around the island, but shared a lot of his knowledge about culture, nature, history, religion, economy of Sri Lanka. It was nice to see how fondly he talked about his country and nation and of his people. He has a comfortable and clean car which was just perfect for the journey and has a very calm driving style. He always helped us to find the best places for buying things, eating and sightseeing. Let me highlight two short stories that made a deep impression on me: 1) For lunch we usually stopped on our way and ate at local restaurants together. Sometimes he paid for the lunch for all three of us to geta fair price and we would give him the money in the car. One time I rounded up the amount we needed to pay him and told him not to give the change back. He handed me the exact amount back, looked at me with a smile and just said: "Manners!" I really didn't expect him to that but it was an hones touch of an honest man. 2) On our last day together I left my sunglasses on the backseat of his car. It was totally my mistake. Immediately when he found them he contacted me and wanted to get them to me somehow. Since it was my mistake, I didn't expect him to do the extra effort. But three days later on our way to the airport he managed to meet us on the way and gave me my sunglasses back. He really made the extra mile and drove extra on his free time to meet us. It was really something I didn't expect of him.

We’ve been in Sri Lanka for 10 days with Kalum. He did individual tour for us and it was unforgettable. First we came to Ella city and stayed in Sky green hotel. View from our hotel was amazing: in the morning we saw all skyline of Ella and sunrise. In Ella we visited Adam’s peak, ella’s rock and of course their famous railway bridge. You should visit this place if you ever go to Ella. Then our trip was in Yalla city. We went to Yalla national park to see local fauna. My wife and me love animals so much, so we did not miss this chance to visit safari :) We saw wild pigs, monkeys, a lot of different birds, bears, elephants and “the most wanted” guy - leopard!!! Yeah, emotions at this moment were indescribable…The last point was Unawatuna to have a rest time. We drunk, slept, swam and chill all last five days ;) During all trip Kalum drived us to all places that we wanted to visit and told us about all this places. Unfortunately I caught a cold in Yalla, and Kalum bought local medicine for me, and I felt better next day! Thank you Kalum for this travelling, hope we will see you next year again. It was the best trip ever.

I was participating in a tour that was organized by Green Lanka and could not have chosen any better: Kalum and his wife gave us a warm welcome at the airport and he and his team exceeded any expectation! Kalum does not only know nearly everything about his beautiful homecountry - he also knows how to transport his love for Sri Lanka to his guests. He is a highly reliable, honest, warm hearted and decent man which hightest priority is to make his clients feel welcome and give them the best service and experience. The bus we had was utterly clean and comfortable, driver and assistant always in place and very good in her job. Supported by his lovely wife, Kalum offers the best of Sri Lanka in many ways. We have had stunning experiences on so many levels - adventure with rafting, hiking, canyoning, as well as deeply spirtitual encounters at the Bodhi Tree and Tooth Temple and stunning experiences in Nature like Sigiriya or the train journey throuh the tea fields in the mountains... Kalum was always prepared and meanwhile also open to improvise if necessary or helpful. He made sure, we get the most of our trip and I will never forget this incredible time.

We traveled Sri Lanke for 10 days and Kalum made our stay an absolutely memorable one. Apart from organizing a beautiful tour for us, Kalum also made us feel welcome like friends rather than just tourists. He and his wife organized marvelous trips to temples, natural sites like Sigirya and to enjoyable retreats to do rafting and other fun activities. We custom built a 8 day tour of Sri Lanka with Kalum's help, going from Kandy, Madukelle Tea Lodge, Unawatuna, Galle, and Colombo. Kalum was extremely responsive on email and helped us build an excellent trip. Our driver was very professional and helpful - we made some changes to our trip on the fly and he was very accommodating. Will be working with Green Lanka again in the future!

I'm not a backpacker and i have not much experience at travelling. Kalum quickly convinced me to spend several days with him as a guide in Elle and as a driver for Mirissa and Adams Peak. He also climbed to Elle Rock, Little Adams Peak with me. He also offered me a safari tour in Udawalawa, where I could not say no. My journey was pretty spontaneous scheduled. I had a very well organized holiday without stress through him and did not spent much money, because his prices arent high as many it would offer. I recommend Kalum he is patient and is a nice guy! We hired Kalum’s services as guide and driver for our two week holiday in February. Kalum drive us from Colombo to Kandy, we then flew down to Yala and Kalum net us with our bags. He had organised 2 safaris. Then into to Coco at Tangalle for some r and r. Another few days at Aditya near Galle and then back to Negombo Wallace’s before flying home. Kalum was always there as arranged. His car was modern spacious and comfortable and he was an excellent driver. We had a fantastic time and can highly recommend Kalum’s service. You will love him and his amazing country.

We enlisted Kalum's services for our 10 day stay in Sri Lanka. My parents had used Green Lanka Vacations in February 2019 and only had positive things to say about Kalum so we knew we were in good hands. We were not disappointed; he was the best travel guide and driver we have ever had! Kalum met us at the airport. Right off the bat, he was so friendly and professional. His van was pristinely clean (and kept clean throughout the journey) and very spacious. Our seats could recline back almost fully (great for some of the longer journeys)! The van has AC and he had bottled water for us every day. He is very knowledgeable with a decade of experience under his belt and could always suggest the best places to go (from cultural sites, to ATM machines, to restaurants, to a shop to buy a little souvenir on the last day!). He accompanied us to all the cultural sites, doing several fo the hikes with us to the peak, always offering interesting information about all the sites. He also organized a safari for us, booked our train tickets for us prior to our arrival and organized tickets for a cultural show for us in Kandy. A huge help! He was super flexible throughout, always happy to go along with our schedule and was always exactly where he said he would be, on time! I'm so happy I booked Green Lanka Vacations and met Kalum! I found Green Lanka Vacations by accident on Trip Advisor. All the reviews were positive…but coming from the other end of the world I was a little weary, as I had never met this person and only had Trip Advisor reviews from strangers as reference. Therefore before sending one third of the cost through Western Union, I decided to do my investigation. Having connections,I checked with the Embassy(High Commission since Sri Lanka is part of the Commonwealth) e-mailed a Sri Lankan friend and looked up the company on a British site which investigates companies at large. Finally, I also called him directly. After being re-assured that all was legit I sent him the deposit. I am very glad I did, since I found a gem. Kalum was waiting for us at the airport with a spacious and spotless A/C Toyota van which remained throughout the trip stacked with bottled water. For the full duration of the trip (15 days tour of Sri Lanka) he was always professional, knowledgeable, discreet, punctual, courteous and always so helpful (buying our train tickets, performance tickets, arranging a safari, finding ATM machines...anything we needed he would provide). He accompanied us to the visit of the diverse sites (even going up with us to the top of Sigiriya/Lion’s Rock and Pidurangala rock …in the rain!). Since he is a professional guide he could enter the sites without paying the entrance fees and he is also very well verse in the history of his country and could deliver the explanations of interest while visiting sites. We enjoyed him so much that my daughter and her fiancé will be using his services while visiting Sri Lanka! Thanks Kalum for making us discover your country in the most pleasant and memorable way. We will forever be grateful!

I had an amazing time in Sri Lanka thanks to our great guide Kalum. We were a group and travelled comfortably in a bus throughout the country. Everything was well organized. Kalum has a profound knowledge of the places and also shares a lot of information about the culture and traditions. Whatever question appeared, he answered it in good English.
