- 145carrieh0 contributionsNot worth the effortYes, this is a pretty spot but the water is barely tepid and it’s not worth the long drive in on very rough road. Don’t understand how the term “hot springs “ can even be used to describe this place. It’s a watering hole with some inner tubes and a rope swing!Written 30 January 2020
- hillbornorganiccoffe0 contributionsArusha National Parkcovers Mount Meru, a prominent volcano with an elevation of 4566 m, in the Arusha Region of north eastern Tanzania. The park is small but varied with spectacular landscapes in three distinct areas. In the west, the Meru Crater funnels the Jekukumia River; the peak of Mount Meru lies on its rim. Ngurdoto Crater in the south-east is grassland. The shallow alkaline Momella Lakes in the north-east have varying algal colours and are known for their wading birds.Written 3 November 2019
- suzanneeason0 contributionsNNNNN-Gore-Ron-Gore-RowYeah. The Ng's and Mw's are tough to pronounce in Swahili. (see phonetics in the title for help). But we can at least agree on this amazing place...Ngorongoro Crater is crazy awesome. Its like visiting the Official Jurassic Park. Because all these creatures haven't left this caldera in 2 million years. Seriously. Except when the elephants climb up the embankment roads leading out of the crater just to get to the salt licks. But no one wants to leave. They just head back on down to their fam's. You have got to go. Look up the Official Black Panther Safaris, LTD. They are an amazing tour group for anyone looking for awesome guides and luxury vehicles.Written 3 October 2019
- ashesh2k0 contributionsGood Safari with many animals and natural placesIt was a good experience. Park is located in between Arusha and Moshi. It is near to killamanjaro airport of Tanzania. One can higher car or book a day tour. It is on foot hill of Mount Meru. We enter through Ngongongate gate. Took ticket of approx 50 USD for foreigners. But it was worth. After traveling 3 KM's we got view of zebra and wild buffalo. On onwards journey we reach Momella gate a forest Ranger accomplished us for walk of 4 KM's. We went to water fall. It was photographical place. Lakes full of flamingos. Girrafe, variety of monkeys and many more animals.Written 26 August 2019
- mariadelourdesg5220 contributions&Beyond Ngorongoro Crater LodgeWhen my husband and I decided to do a safari in Tanzania we saw many photos and videos but nothing prepared for the wonders of this place. Thr lodge is located on the border of a 18 km crater of an extinct volcano and has become a sanctuary of the biosphere. The logo of the lodge goes: “ When Versailles meets the jungle” and I couldn’t agree more. You see all the sophistication in the decoration and comfort in your room, in the delicious food prepared to your taste at the same time you can have an upclose contact with the wild life. We were very happy with the caring of the staff, particularly our masai guide Peter who took us to safari, walking tours, to s visit to a masai village and to a shop where you can buy the famous tanzanite stones from the Kiilimanjari mines. Really sn unforgettable experience!Written 21 August 2019
- Michele A0 contributionsA magical placeI'm not sure why this park isn't higher on people's list....it's magical. The landscape alone is incredible with rise mountains, lush and varied forests, and a beautiful lake. The animal sightings weren't as numerous as at the Crater, but they were all the more beautiful because of the setting. The option to canoe or take a walking tour for a couple of hours are both welcome differences to other parks. I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary.Written 28 July 2019
- Nadira V0 contributionsDay at the hotsprings with EmmanuelDuring April it is low season and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make the journey to visit the hotsprings as it was quite expensive for a solo traveller unless you already have a group. I found Emmanuel on trip advisor and decided to message him. I was only in Moshi for 2 days and It was very last minute but he was able to take me the next day. He included a free hike to a waterfall which was really nice. Emmanuel is such and easy going and fun person to be around we had such a great time even though it was just me we had a great time with other people we met there. The hotsprings weren’t really hot but that’s perfect for the hot weather. Even though it was rainy season the water was really clear and it is a must see gem. We made a whole day out of it and Emmanuel dropped me back to Moshi at the end of the day. To get in contact with him.. you can find him on WhatsApp +255 744 228 747 He does pick up from either Arusha or MoshiWritten 30 June 2019

- amall680 contributionsAmazing place - great introduction to safariWe visited Lake Manyara National Park as part of our safari holiday in Tanzania. This was our second day in the country and the first to experience the wildlife. And what an experience it was! We encountered all sorts of wildlife: zebra, gazelle, warthog, water buffalo, hippo, giraffes, baboon, monkeys, elephants, several bird species, and the famous tree climbing lions. A great introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.Written 3 September 2018
- Hedo-goer0 contributionsDifferent things seen each time we visitedWe've visited Lake Manyara National Park 2 times. The first time (in 2011), we entered the park through the north gate. We saw baboons, hippos (out of the water), lots of flamingos, and the only giraffe we've seen sitting down (in a wide open field). The second time we visited (in 2018), we entered by the western gate. To get to it, you had to travel on some extremely rough dirt roads, due to recent heavy rains. You also had to ford a couple of rivers. And because of those rains, the lake was much higher. This caused all the flamingos to leave to find a body of water that was shallower. We did see Cape buffalo, hippos, zebras, and a pack of male elephants (very close to our car). We were trying to see a leopard, but had no success. During both one-day visits, we also saw many types of birds.Written 5 August 2018
- derive_cz0 contributionsAmazing safari with lots of animals and friendly guy4 days of safari, staying in tents with catering, so it was simple, but that's what we wanted. Added benefit was buffalos coming to the camp of Ngorongoro to graze at night. Magical. Our guide (nicknamed China) was absolutely amazing, spoke good English, explained everything very well and made sure we saw all the animals. Tarangire was packed with animals, Serengeti vast, quiet and magical with beasts (be sure to wake up early and watch the sunrise with animals!), Ngorongoro wet and cold (pack really warm clothes) but stunning with infinite herds of zebras, wilderbeasts and buffallos. We even got to see a pack of lions hunting. I was pleasantly surprised with the visit of Masaai village, which didn't really feel like a circus for tourists as I originally expected. I had the best time of my life.Written 29 July 2018
- Daphne M0 contributionsWalter is a bit obtrusiveWalter is a nice man, but he is very intrusive. If I don't respond yet, he has sent me another message a couple of times. The same goes for booking a safari: we had not yet arrived at our hotel for 5 minutes or he was already on the pavement. Walter, you can regulate the trips well but a little less intrusive pleaseWritten 23 July 2018
- Mike L0 contributionsOne Day TrekThe one day trek was an awesome way to experience hiking Mount Kilimanjaro. Because of time constraints, I was unable to do the multi-day one. I was met at my hotel the night before by the tour manager who briefed me on what to expect. The professional guide and driver picked me up at 6:30AM. The guide hiked with me up the first leg of the Marangu Route up to the Mandara Huts. My guide, Calvin, was very informative and took me to see a crater along with some waterfalls as well. Unfortunately, I was unable to see the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro due to the weather. The tour guide and driver though were awesome and I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to get the feel of hiking up Kilimanjaro. I definitely plan on coming back sometime in the future and will try to trek the whole thing (using this company).Written 6 July 2018

The 3-day safari was the highlight of our trip to Tanzania. Before we left, we met up with Walter who gave us a short briefing. It was very nice meeting him in person. We had a great safari driver guide, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Especially Tarangire NP and Ngorongoro Crater were spectacular. In Tarangire, we were lucky enough to spot a leopard mother with 2 cubs in a tree right next to the road. The food was great and we stayed at an amazing campsite overlooking Lake Manyara NP.
To summarise, it's a great option if you're looking for a short safari on a budget.

Super, wonderful to know what a great time you had. Our business relies on customer satisfaction, nothing else. We are very pleased to know that the trip was a success. It is very kind of you to take the trouble to write a review for us, so a big 'thank you' Hope to see you again, it would be a pleasure! Kind regards Walter Director, Sales and Operations
