We did a 6 day, 5 night safari in Tanzania (Tarangie, Serengeti (2 nights) Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara). All were beautiful and unique and highlighted different species of animals. I was most surprised by the amount and how close we were too so many. Our lodgings, all were first class (Hotel Gran Melia, Accacia Farm Lodge and Nyota Luxury Camp). Food was really good and our guide, Sulieman was exceptional. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I did the 12-Day Mid- Luxury Northern Circuit Safari & Beach tour and had an amazing time. Lion King took care of all the logistics from start to finish and it was seamless. Our safari guide, Huruma, was fantastic and so knowledgeable. We saw the big 5 and so much more. Also highly recommend staying in Nyota Luxury camp which is also owned by Lion King. We would confidently recommend Lion King to anyone looking to do a safari in Tanzania!

The communication from the beginning as we were reserving the trip was easy and quick, with all our questions answered in a timely manner which helped make this process seamless and put us at ease heading into the trip. We went on a 6-day trip with Lion King Adventures and went to all the places we were hoping to see: Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu, and Ngorongoro Crater. Our safari guide, Geofrey Wanka, was fantastic and was truly a large reason why our trip was particularly so special and memorable. Geofrey greeted us every morning with a big smile. He was very informative and knowledgeable, teaching us so much about not only the animals we encountered but also about the beautiful country of Tanzania. He always made sure we were comfortable and prioritized what we wanted to see during the trip. We never felt rushed, and we easily saw the big 5 plus so many more animals on our trip (and he always got us the best views). His kindness and expertise throughout our safari made a lasting impression on us as we experienced an adventure of a lifetime. Lion King Adventures helped my dad and I take the trip of a lifetime and we could not recommend them highly enough for your Tanzanian safari. We were apprehensive about visiting in the low/rainy season and had heard that we may not see as many animals, but thanks to our wonderful guide Suleiman’s expertise, we were able to see the Big 5 and much more over our perfectly executed 7 day safari. Suleiman was kind, professional, and by the end of the trip felt like family that we were sad to leave behind. Each lodge chosen by Lion King was luxurious, clean, and had wonderful staff and delicious food. They accommodated all of our special requests and treated us with such wonderful hospitality. We were able to see all of the major parks, and Suleiman always positioned our safari vehicle in perfect spots to take photos. He was excellent at spotting animals and helped us see ultra rare sights like leopard and lion cubs. He offered information about the animals and environment, answered all of our questions, and overall made sure that we were comfortable and satisfied every step of the way. From the seamless booking process, personalization of our trip, to the thoughtful touches on the safari, to the easy coordination of transfers, we loved working with Lion King and would recommend them to anyone looking to have an unforgettable safari adventure.

For my wife’s 60th birthday we decided to check one of her bucket list items off and went on an African safari. We used Lion King as our safari company. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience. We were helped by Rose and Jovitha to make the arrangements. We arrived in Tanzania and spent our first night in Arusha and were met in the morning by our guide Shebi. We then spent the rest of the week traveling across the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater, staying at 4 different luxury camps. During the day, Shebi would drive us in our comfortable 4x4 Land Rover with pop up top on game trails where we saw many animals including the big 5. We got so close to lions, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, baboons, pumas, hyenas, giraffes, leopards, rhinos, and many other creatures that we hadn’t expected to see. Shebi shared all kinds of info and had a keen sense of where to go to find them. The highlight of the trip was a sunrise balloon ride over the Serengeti. The lodges we stayed at were wonderful with great food and amenities. For the second week we went to Zanzibar to rest up at a beach resort. Ultimately this was a trip of a lifetime where we learned and experienced so much about Africa, the history and people, and the amazing animals that still roam wild in nature. I highly recommend Lion King for this trip and to ask for Shebi to be your guide.

We had an incredible experience with Lyon King. Before the trip, they responded promptly and adapted to our needs. We took a 4-day, 3-night safari, visiting the Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Conservation Areas. The accommodations were perfect, especially the Serena in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The food was delicious, and the lunches were well-equipped so we could eat in the parks without any problems. They even included wine! The car seemed to be similar to all the others, very comfortable for seeing the animals and traveling, with a refrigerator stocked with drinks and air conditioning. But without a doubt, the best of all was Enock, our incredible guide. Thanks to him, we had an amazing experience, and with a bit of luck, we managed to see the Big 5 and many other animals. He answered all our questions and always had the best disposition and good vibes. A awesome guy! We had a unforgettable trip. I recommend Enock and Lion King 100%.

Our trip was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. With so many tour operators in Tanzania it was overwhelming to choose the right one and wow was this the right one! Our guide Saleh was incredible with laser sharp eyes - I don’t know how he spotted so many animals from so far away or hiding in the brush. We saw everything we wanted to see and more and it truly was the trip of a lifetime. 100% recommend using lion king adventures!!

I’ve dreamed of doing an African safari for many years and trusted this company with our experience. I’m very happy to report they delivered on their promises and we had a lovely experience. My husband coordinated with their booking team which accommodated changes to the reservation and a last minute change to our dates. Jackson, our tour guide, was critical to making our experience a positive one. He was the face of our trip and kept us informed throughout the safari of the animals as well as history of the locations. I would recommend and would be happy to use him as a guide in the future. Thank you to him for all he did to make our experience memorable.

We had a great experience throughout our safari. Florida was exceptionally accommodating in tailoring our accommodations and agenda to our desires. We were reluctant at first to send money to Africa up front but given they responsiveness and reputation on TripAdvisor we went forward and had no issues. Our guide Jackson did an excellent job explaining the different animals and locations throughout the parks. He was responsible, knowledgeable and friendly with us, constantly making sure we were taken care of and happy with our experience. We would recommend him to others. Our accommodations were beautiful. We wanted physical lodges and the tour company delivered on our desires.

It was the trip of a lifetime!! Gilbert, our guide, was amazing. My friends and I gave home the nickname of “perfect timing”. Over and over Gilbert got us the perfect spot to see all the animals. To be so close to all the different animals was a dream come true. We saw so many it is hard to list them all!! Birds, zebras, giraffes, lots of lions 🦁, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, elephants, hippos and black rhinos. I am probably forgetting a few. Gilbert was very knowledgeable about the all the animals. He routinely surprised us with information on our surroundings. We had delicious hot meals everyday for lunch. Prepared by the various hotels/camps we stayed in. Gilbert set up a table cloth and set the table with silverware and plates, no plastic! Our hotels/camps were wonderful. We felt welcomed in each one. The beds were comfortable and the shower’s hot. I would highly recommend Lion King Adventures and our guide, Gilbert!! Thanks for a dream come true safari!

In August 2024 my wife and I went on our honeymoon where we enjoyed a private safari lead by our guide, Luther. He lead us to Tarangire National Park, two days in the Serengeti (my personal favorite), Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara. I really can't give enough praise to Luther for leading us through this exceptional safari. Over and over again, it felt like he was leading us through the road less traveled, and it continued to pay off with an unbelievable amount of wildlife that we got to see up close. There were several moments where we were the only safari vehicle there (or one of very few) to see some incredible animals. In addition to the "standard" elephants, giraffes, baboons, antelope, hyenas, warthogs, and many others, we also saw a leopard eating an antelope in a tree, hyenas waiting for the scraps to fall from the tree, a lioness waiting in the grass next to some zebras, two cheetah families, rhinos, around 30 lions (we counted...), and many more. This was a once in a lifetime experience, and we have Luther and Lion King Adventures to thank for it. The private safari was customizable to what we wanted to see, and the accommodations (for the mid-range) FAR exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed private rooms and showers every night, wonderful food, and the best gosh darn safari guide south of the equator. Lastly, I'd recommend anyone considering a safari in Africa to find a company that is locally owned, like Lion King Adventures. I was astounded in doing my research by how many safari companies are owned by people outside of Africa. Do your research, and support Tanzanian owned with your choice! Trust me, you won't regret it if you go with Lion King :)

Our tour guide, Shabani, was incredibly passionate and dedicated to ensuring we had the best experience possible. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he made it his mission to help us see a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hippos, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, and even a black rhinoceros. The accommodations provided by Lion King Adventures were top-notch, with beautiful camps that offered comfort and luxury amidst the wild. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better safari experience. Lion King Adventures exceeded our expectations, and Shabani's dedication and knowledge made the trip unforgettable.
