About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 758tannem0 contributionsAmazing tour in Moshi with Julius! We had the best day ever with Julius. He was so kind and so funny. We laughed the whole day and he made the whole experience the best it could. First we drove to the waterfall, then we did the coffee tour. After the coffee tour we ate local food and at the end we did go to the hotsprings. Julius had water in the car for us and also some beers. We would 100% recommend booking with this company but especially with Julius!!!Written 7 September 2024
- shonky10 contributionsAn amazing day trip from Arusha.A great day, the waterfall was lovely, the coffee making, much better than expected and fun, the warm springs were lovely at rhe end of the day. Julius, our driver was chatty and great, and managed to get us an afternoon view of Kilimanjaro, Florian, who took us to the waterfall, showed us many interesting things en route. A really good day trip - go for it !Written 2 September 2024
- Y6989PIdavidr0 contributionsThe most incredible experience. We have just finished a 3 day safari in the Serengeti, as part of our honeymoon, organised by Dancing Simba Safari. All I can say is that it was exceptional and far exceeded our expectations. I was nervous about booking through a company I had found on a comparison website, however our contact from Day 1 (Brenda) was on hand to support with our booking and answer all of our queries, round the clock. She tailored a package to meet our budget, expectations and requirements. Brenda organised everything from our transfer to leaving our hotel in Zanzibar to our transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for our international flight. We flew from Zanzibar to Serona (via Arusha) seamlessly (the second flight had great views in a 15 seater plane), where we met our guide (Bulldozer). With over a decade of experience, he stayed with us and expertly guided us through out our 3 day private safari experience. He tailored our safari to what we wanted to do. We seen every key animal there was to see (apart from one), which on a really short safari is testament to the skill of the guide. We have thousands of photos that will last a life time. Due to our short trip, we spent most of the time on the game drives. That said, the accommodation that you choose is important. Where possible, I would recommend a camp inside the national park, they range in price and quality drastically. Our favourite was The Escarpment Luxury Camp - it was exceptional. It can feel scary at night (the camps are in the midst of the park where the animals roam, so important to have somewhere you feel comfortable). On our return to Arusha, we swung by the Dancing Simba office to meet the owner (that we had heard so much about). An exceptional experience that is highly recommended.Written 8 August 2024

- samwaddelltravel0 contributionsGreat day out with our amazing guide, Julius!Great day out! The hot springs are a gorgeous spot to relax and chill out. The water is crystal clear and little fish nibble on the dead skin on your feet. The lunch we had at the village was delicious and the service was professional and friendly. It was a very easy trek to the waterfall and definitely worth the minimal effort. The waterfall is stunning, definitely one of the best I have ever saw. We also really enjoyed the coffee experience. Lovely little family who run it who serenaded us with songs. The coffee itself was the best I have ever tasted, smooth and delicious. The highlight of our trip was our guide, Julius! His English is perfect and he is a similar age to us so we had a great laugh the full day. There is a lot of driving on the trip and traffic can be bad but Julius is very friendly and chatty so we talked most of the journey which helped pass the time. I’d definitely recommend requesting to get Julius as your guide if you choose to book this trip! The only other advice I could give is try and leave in one of the earliest slots available. We chose 9am because we had came off the back of Kilimanjaro 2 days before so wanted to sleep it but we got stuck in the rush our traffic on the way out and way back in which made it a long day! So I’d probably recommend choosing 6am or 6.30am!Written 21 July 2024
- gelagaya0 contributionsIt was so wonderfullI embarked on an unforgettable journey with Dancing Simba Safaris from June 28th to July 3rd, 2024. My adventure spanned the diverse landscapes of Tarangire National Park, with its towering baobab trees and vast herds of elephants. The serene beauty of Lake Manyara offered a glimpse of playful baboons silhouetted against the setting sun, their chatter echoing through the trees. Long-necked giraffes stretched their elegant forms to feed on leaves high in the canopy. The awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, left me breathless. But it was the majestic Serengeti National Park that truly stole the show. Here, a seemingly endless sea of wild animals across the vast savanna, punctuated by the calls of gazelles and the watchful gaze of lions. The air vibrated with a symphony of bird calls. With Dancing Simba's expert guides and comfortable accommodations, our diverse group from all corners of the globe (America, Africa - me from Ethiopia, Europe - Norway, Asia - China, and Australia) had an unforgettable safari experience. The shared thrill of encountering Tanzania's incredible wildlife fostered a sense of camaraderie that transcended cultural differences. Our safari jeep became a microcosm of the world, with six of us sharing stories and laughter. I, from Ethiopia, learned a lot from my fellows, while the thrill of spotting a pride of lions sparked lively discussions with our fellow travelers from Norway, America, and Australia. A special thanks goes to Mr. David John, who ensured everything was perfectly organized, and to our incredible guide, Mr. Joseph. His knowledge and passion for Tanzanian wildlife made the experience truly unforgettable. He expertly explained the tour and the fascinating species of animals we encountered, bringing the wonders of the African savanna to life. This trip was more than just a good time; it was a transformative experience that deepened my appreciation for nature's wonders. From the vast plains teeming with life to the awe-inspiring heights of Kilimanjaro, where I challenged myself with a one-day hike to Mandara Hut, with a special thanks to my incredible guide who expertly paced me throughout the climb, Tanzania offered an unforgettable adventure. Tanzania has cast its spell, and I know it won't be my last visit. Next time, I will be returning with my family for an unforgettable adventure. Together, we will: • Conquer the mighty Kilimanjaro, reaching the summit of Uhuru Peak. • Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Great Migration. • Relax and soak up the beauty of Zanzibar's beaches.Written 9 July 2024

- CeeFreund0 contributionsAwesome safari experience. Thank you, Proches!Where do I even start? Thank you Proches, you were the best guide, we could have hoped for and thank you Dennis you were the best cook we could have hoped for. We were a group of 5 cousins on a family trip. Some of us had allergies, some of us were vegetarians, everyrhing got taken care of. We had already booked the wateruni waterfalls tour through this provider and enjoyed it very much. But this safari was something else. We saw every animal of the big 5 except for the leopard. And they were so close to the car. It was absolutely amazing! Also on our last day Proches bought some sugar cane for us to try! Thank you some much! We highly recommed this tour provider!Written 30 June 2024
- CeeFreund0 contributionsGreat day with Owen, our guideWe absolutely loved this tour. We were 5 cousins on a family trip. Some of us had allergies, some were vegetarians, some were younger than others. This tour accomodated them all. Owen, our guide was superb! Thank you again, Owen. He explained everything about the coffee plantations, we tried Banana beer, went on a really nice hike, we had a great view on Mount Kilimandjaro on the road back from the hot springs and just overall had a great day! Thank you again!Written 30 June 2024
- C5005PHlarat0 contributionsAmazing experience with OwenWe took a trip to Materuni waterfall, coffee tour and hot springs. We were scared because the forecast showed heavy rain all day, but they assured us it won't rain, and then they even got us raincoats for free. The tour was just amazing, you can come really close to the waterfall and take amazing pics. Coffee tour was as well great, you see the production of homemade coffee from scratch and you can buy it there as well. You can take a swim in hot springs which I recommend. But the most amazing thing of the tour was our guide, Owen. You can really see how much he loves what he does and you can feel that with his descriptions and stories about everything we pass by. We had a really great time with him, and if we ever come back and do some tours, we will certainly go with this agency and Owen! He took a lot of photos of us as well. I can't express how much of a good time we had with him. You should give this guy a raise! 😀 I recommend this tour with this guide 100/10 !Written 20 June 2024
- 427kajalc0 contributionsWhat an amazing safariWhat an unforgettable experience - all thanks to everyone at the team of Dancing Simba’s. From organising the trip with David who created an itinerary that suited our short time frame to the brilliant chef Dennis, cooking us incredible meals that we enjoyed thoroughly. Our tour guide, Proches was very knowledge and was dedicated to make this safari a trip of a lifetime. As a group of girls, we felt very comfortable and accommodated, and had a lot of fun during the safari with the whole team at Dancing Simba’s. We can’t thank them enough!! ❤️Written 15 June 2024
- Marty M0 contributionsMarvelous and unforgettable experience ❤️It was my second visit to Serval Lodge and this time I came together with my three children and my middle daughter she had birthday we were celebrating her 10 years and we had such a marvelous time together with animals taking lots of photos and videos and so much excitement. Big thanks to our guide Yussuf. He is number one. He’s the best and he was with me for the first visit when I was with a friend of mine and my second visit with the girls and everything was organized 10 of 10. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.Written 14 June 2024

- Paloma D0 contributionsIncredibleWas a wonderful experience ! The guide Joseph was the best guide ever to the safari days, Serengeti was my favorite park, and the amazing crater of ngorongoro! We saw a lot of animals and the big 5 more important! The food very delicious and clean, always taking care of you! If you want to live a real experience in the parks and share the culture i totally recommend it !! And also the last day going to Materuni water falls was amazing! Real hiking, and also the show you the coffee process there. You can drink you own coffee !!! Really amazing ! At the end they bring me to the hot spring, and I did not expect it that!! - TravelingdutchieMel0 contributionsWonderful experienceWe had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Owen. He contacted us the day before to confirm the pick-up time and provide additional information. The hike to the waterfall was manageable, though it was a bit slippery in places due to the wet conditions. Along the way, Owen provided extensive explanations about the nature and the village, which was very informative. ++ The communication with the tour guide was excellent. During the journey, it was nice to have the option to rest or engage in conversation. The (African) lunch provided was delicious. Everyone we met was very friendly. - - - There were no significant negatives. The only improvement could be to better prepare guests, especially for the hot springs (there are rocks in the river and small fish that may nip at you). - There are several opportunities where locals try to earn extra money, but it never felt intrusive. For instance, an extra person might join the hike, or someone might sell items during the coffee tour, or someone might swim or guide you at the river and take photos without being specifically asked. All these individuals expect and wait for a tip. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and the minor suggestions are just for enhancing the overall preparedness and experience for future guests.Written 1 June 2024

Jul 2023 • Family
We took a private family tour carefully planned by our journey designer David where he's taken into account all our requests and exceptions. He's been pivotal in designing the right route, what to see, what to expect for a family of safari seekers at the "elementary" level. This is quite critical since what you see is assessed by what you expected in the first place. Me, my husband and my 1 kid ( 8 years old) traveled with 4 days with Dancing Simba safaris and the experience was unique for the 3 of us. The kid still ask about the driver, ezra and it was two month ago. The trip was planned only with 2 month in advance and the prompt reply of my emails was the key for everything being possible. Everything was very organized, since day one, picking at airport, till returning back to it. Ezra the driver was very experienced and full of patience to handle with high drive kid and his stubborn "things".. He really knew how to adequate the logistic of 4 days full time safari with my stubborn kid About the Safari itself, it was an amazing experience, with Ezra's knowledge, it seems we were inside national geographic episode. We were very lucky and saw everything what was expected. We could think 4 days of Safari it's hard specially with kids of this age, the guide/driver has contributed all the wonderful organization of dancing Simba safaris, and their unique safari, the lodge is very nice cline and net. At the end I may say: 5 STARS for you, David and your guide Ezra and share my son's last day comment: "it seems we began only yesterday and it was already finishing? I want to return on the dry season!" I strongly recommend for anyone who wishes a "boutique" safari experience to have a word with Dancing Simba safaris to doing anything upfront. its Exellent.!

4 Booked this 4 Days Serengeti- and Ngorongoro as a private safari and we are more than happy: We contacted several Tour Operators and Dancing Simba was the first one who responded to our quote. We were convinced from the very beginning as we felt very well understood and the offere was extremely good at a very faire price. All the questions we had and additional information needed were answered instantly by David personally. Our driver and guide, Ombeni (Praise) is very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. As we both are very passionate fotographers he always found the right spot to take picutes in the perfect light. We were always served a really nice lunch, delivered in pans and served on plates. It was not just an out of the box pic-nic. We spend three nights in wonderful Luxury Camps. This trip was on our backet list for a long time and we were not disappointed - the trip with Dancing Simba did 200 % fulfill our requirements and what we have dreamed of.

We were very excited with Jasckon was quick and easy to communicate with. He responded to my emails and Whats App messages prior to the safari. Arrange for the hotel stay the day before, and explained the safari tour details patiently. We were 6 of us, in a Toyota Land cruiser that has the space and ability to stand up for game viewing and photographs. Our tour guide Jonathani was wonderful, his knowledge of the region, animals and culture, along with his sense of humor was a nice balance to have for those long drives. We saw the big 5, some up close and plenty of opportunities to take pictures etc., The cook made simple lunch and tasty dinner for us daily. Accommodations were a mix of tent camping and lodge/hotel types, some with a swimming pool and WiFi. Overall, a very pleasant and satisfying tour without any problems. Strongly recommend. For the price point, this is perhaps the best option in A rusha. Go for it. and i recommend this company Dancing simba
