About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- W6118ZGlauriec0 contributionsClimbkili.com: Experience, organization and caring makes for a fantastic trip!Climbkili.com provided exceptional safari experiences. We went on safari for 6 days in early November, 2024 and visited Tarangire, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. I highly recommend this tour operator and here's why: They were super-organized eg. the guidebook to prep for safari that they sent well in advance of the trip helped us prepare; they arranged all our travel and accommodation in-country (and our plane was delayed in arriving - no problem for them!). Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the geographic areas, plants, animals and generally anything about nature. He was also very patient - we never felt rushed. Even better, he knew when it was worthwhile to stick around at a viewing spot - he had an excellent sense of when some action from the animals might occur. Although our guide had deep experience, his passion and enthusiasm for safari was awesome!Written 8 December 2024
- W6118ZGlauriec0 contributionsClimbKili.com provides exceptional Mt. Kili climb experiences! The team at Climbkili.com organized a flawless Mt. Kili hike experience. We did the hike (7 day Machame route) in early November, 2024. I highly recommend this tour operator and here's why: They were super-organized eg. the guidebook to prep for hiking that they sent well in advance of the hike helped us prepare; they arranged all our travel and accommodation in-country (and our plane was delayed in arriving - no problem for them!). They are very experienced - our guides for hiking were amazing at coaching, guiding and ensuring the highest health and safety. Additionally, our guides were extremely knowledgeable about the geographic areas, plants, animals and generally anything about nature. They were also very patient - we never felt rushed. Lastly, I am not not a fan of heights - actually I'm more afraid of falling than of heights. My guides really inspired trust. I felt confident in their expert and focused coaching/supervising and was not nervous at all.Written 8 December 2024
- F8356DVclarec0 contributionsSimply Amazing! My friend and I did a Safari with ClimbKili after our August climb. The safari was truly one of the most wondrous experiences of my life. Our guide Simon was a gem. We had so much fun and learned lots with him. After just a few hours together, it felt like we were riding around with an old friend. The tented camp was especially epic. (The “tents” have four-poster beds and full bathrooms. Quite a treat after the mountain climb!) And waking up to have coffee while watching the Serengeti sunrise was truly magical. Next time, I’ll pack more small bills for tipping (1s and 5s). Tipping wasn’t mandatory, but it was an easy way to say thank-you to all the delightful people we met along the way. Thanks to everyone, especially Simon, who made the trip so great!Written 3 December 2024
- F8356DVclarec0 contributionsGreat Experience with Awesome PeopleA friend and I booked a 7-day Machame climb and 4-day safari with ClimbKili. The trip began August 3 and was great! I highly recommend this company. Our guides, James and Daniel, had the combined experience of hundreds of trips, and it showed. We were well cared for. (And extremely well fed—there was even pizza one night!) I’ve done lots of remote camping—so the hike nearly seemed like glamping by comparison. Everyone in our crew was exceptionally kind, courteous, and helpful. I honestly wasn’t sure how it would be traveling as women with a bunch of guys up a mountain, there were no problems. I would absolutely do it again. The accommodations were cozy. My friend and I shared a 3-man tent; but I recommend springing for your own. It got a little tight with all our stuff. The weather was perfect. Clear skies most of the time and not a drop of rain except the first few hours in the rainforest ascent. Communication was great pre-trip. We had lots of questions—and all were answered quickly and thoroughly by Tiffany. Airport pickup and drop off was a breeze, and the hotel setup was nice. (Though I recommend arriving earlier than the night before your hike—we didn’t do ourselves any favors there.) Our post-hike safari was amazing. We had the best time with Simon, our guide. The safari was truly one of the most wondrous experiences of my life—dust and all. SIDE NOTE: Next time, I’ll pack more small bills for tipping (1s and 5s). While I brought sufficient cash, it was in larger denominations. Tipping wasn’t mandatory, but it was an easy way to thank all the delightful people we met along the way.Written 3 December 2024
- B6744YYandyf0 contributionsClimb Kili is ABSOLUTELY Outstanding!Climb Kili from the very beginning was absolutely outstanding to work with on our first climb of Kilimanjaro! Tiffany responded promptly and patiently throughout our myriad of our questions. Our guides, Manny and Singer, far exceeded our expectations in leading our climb, making great decisions, caring for us thoroughly, were a complete pleasure to work with and climb with. And sacrificed beyond our lofty expectations to insure we made it to the summit and down. We love those guys. Also, the entire team - driver, cook, waiter, latrine duty, and porters were all fantastic! We could not ask for more! The food was surprisingly good. The latrine was always clean. The waiter, Juvi, served with happy enthusiasm throughout. And the porters were amazing. Our camp was always set up in advance. I have nothing but praise for our team and Climb Kili! They were worth every penny and more. We commend them to you without reservation! It was the trip of a lifetime.Written 26 November 2024
- 241srik0 contributionsSpectacular ExperienceWe hiked in March of this year, just before the rainy season. We chose the scenic 8-day Lemosha route. It helped to gradually acclimate to the altitude, and we had plenty of time to soak in the stunning view. Even though it was just the two of us, the whole setup felt very professional. Tiffany was so helpful in planning our trip and quickly responded with any question. Our guide, Amani and his assistant, were incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we were always comfortable. The support team was also fantastic, always there with smiling faces to lend a hand. We also did a 2-day safari after the hike, and while there was a small hiccup with transportation, Simon, the local manager, quickly resolved the issue and made sure everything went smoothly. Crossing the Barranco wall (of course kissing it!!) was an exhilarating experience. Staying at Kosova camp before the summit was a great decision. It gave us a real advantage for the final push and early start to see the amazing Sunrise at Uhuru, a great experience to cherish. We were so lucky…. ClimbKili was superb. The weather was super supportive. We thoroughly enjoyed the hike and grateful for the whole experience….Written 24 November 2024
- DeborahB30880 contributionsMeru / safari 2024Excellent from start to finish . We were looked after like kings and queens . The food was amazing made by our excellent stomach engineer Isihaku. We had a head guide James lyimo ( just around the corner) who was funny informative supportive just an all round good guide. We had two other guides Stephen Kiwelu who also took us up Kilimanjaro last year, he is an excellent guide who does what ever he needs too so your experience is the best it can be and my hero for making sure I got to the top of Kilimanjaro last year when I was struggling with altitude . Then there is Daniel CHAO who also took us up Kilimanjaro and is another of my heroes, he helps no matter the situation and he makes sure you get to the top no matter what . Last but not least Gidionn our safari driver who was amazing he made sure we saw all the big five and much much more. He was funny observant knowledgeable and if we were going again we would ask for him for sure. Meru climb was tough but a great challenge and Climb Kili and their staff made it the best experience ever.Written 17 November 2024
- K3614GIbarryb0 contributionsRooftop of AfricaWe just finished our Summit to Kilimanjaro. Kudos to Climb Kili. They had an amazing team led by Herment Moshi. Herment is a great leader and his team did a great job of assessing our group and getting us to the top. Thank you for all your knowledge and expertise in assisting us to accomplish our trek to the "rooftop of Africa" I would recommend Climb Kili to anyone wanting to complete the trek.Written 25 October 2024
- BruceofTennessee0 contributionsDown to an artI went on this eight day Lemosho Kilimanjaro track in October 2024. There were 6 people in the group, including my brother, myself, our brother-in-law and two nephews. There also was a solo hiker from Australia that went with us. This was an exceptional trip and could not be matched. I’ve had altitude sickness in the past, but the guides for this trip were expert with altitude sickness, and nobody on our trip experienced this.We did see several people being helicopter’d off the mountain due to this, but our group leaders at Climb Kili knew how to acclimate us for the journey. I cannot imagine a smarter or better equipped group as Climb Kili.Written 24 October 2024
- Wanderer181070531370 contributionsClimb Kili got us to the Roof of Africa!I was very impressed by the entire crew from Climb Kili. They made our express truly memorable. Everyone in my group reached the summit thanks to the guides, porters, cooks, etc. from the Climb Kili crew. I would highly recommend using Climb Kili for your Mount Kiliminjaro experience. They treat you like family and are with you every step of the way.Written 23 October 2024
- flippy2good0 contributionsTop of Kilimanjaro and amazing service! Our trip was insanely good with climb Kili!!! Our safari guide victor was one of the best people I’ve ever met and he was so good! Also our guide good luck, or Mr. 100% for kili was incredible. Without him we wouldn’t have made it to the top as easily. He has a 100% guide success rate. 10/10!! We also had amazing help and friendliness from our drivers including Philip Joseph who drove me around Arusha to take photos!Written 23 October 2024
- F4525YQhannahf0 contributions10/10 Recommendation for Climb KiliMy husband and I have wanted to climb Kilimanjaro for years. We are glad that we chose Climb Kili for our trip. Everything was well organised from hiring equipment and airport transfers to each day of the trek itself. As 2 people who have lived their entire lives at sea level, the 7 day Machame route was perfect for us. Reaching the summit at sunrise was an unforgettable experience. It something that we could not have done alone - our guides, John and Erick, as well as the whole team made it possible!Written 20 October 2024
- alexandramQ6004DK0 contributionsIncredible Experience with Climb KiliClimbing Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend climbing with them to anyone looking to embark on this adventure. We were a two person group and did the 7 day Machame route but ended up completing it in 6 days (which was our decision coupled with our guides assessment), with both of us making it to the summit. Our guides, Manny (Emmanuel) and Steve (Stefano) were inspiring, knowledgeable, kind, and instrumental in our trip to the summit. Our team of porters and our cook (Stratton) were also incredible. Stratton cooked better meals on the side of the mountain than I can at home! The tents and sleeping bags were comfortable and warm, the private bathroom tent was a luxury at the campsites, and we were well fed and hydrated throughout our journey - I especially appreciated the warm tea and popcorn snacks everyday! This was one of the best experiences of my life and the preparation, organization, energy and support from the Climb Kili team made it possible!Written 17 October 2024
- L6879PWrichardf0 contributionsSecond trip to KilimanjaroNever say never...when I returned from hiking Kilimanjaro in Tanzania over a year ago, I never thought I would return. However, memories of the journey stuck with me and I decided to go back July 4. While the seven day trek was no less challenging, the adventure was even more wonderful. Spending time on the Roof Of Africa (19,341 ft.) in one of the most beautiful national parks on earth never gets old. Everyone was great…from Tiffany, to our guides James (for the second time) and Daniel, to the mountain crew, to the drivers and hotel staff . Looking forward to trip number three with Climb Kili someday. Time to find a new mountain to climb!Written 16 October 2024
- scoth2010 contributionsIf you're going to the top, pick the topI just got back from climbing Kilimanjaro, courtesy of Climb Kili. I'd have to say that the experience was wonderful. All six of us summited without incident. I'd like to say that we were amazingly fit and prepared, but the truth is that the climb Kili crew (Herment et al) had everything so organized and straightforward that we didn't actually climb Kili, we were pulled up by 22 amazingly dedicated and strong men. I have some comparison. I've been to Everest Base Camp with a good outfit, Patagonia, The Brooks Range, Iceland, etc. Climb Kili is at the peak when you want to summit that peak. I highly recommend them. In fact, it was pretty obvious that climbers from other outfits were jealous of our crew (and yes, they sang to us with harmony and gusto). Some tidbits: 1) Hot coffee or tea in your tent in the AM if you wish it 2) Tents are three person tents with only one or two occupents 3) Toilet facilities are private, with a great chemical toilet. Plenty of good TP. I saw other hikers slinking into the rocks with wads of toilet paper in their hands. Not us 3) Lots and lots of good food! Superb fare 4) Lots of boiled, sterile water. No gastroenteritis or other illness 5) Arusha and Kili are above the mosquito areas. No fear of Malaria 6) I found little use for trail bars and snacks. Leave them behind and lighten your pack Pick Climb Kili. Barring extremely rare High altitude pulmonary or cerebral edema, the only way you won't summit is because you chose not toWritten 14 October 2024
