We just wrapped up an incredible week-long safari with Herman as our guide, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Traveling as a family of five (two adults and three teens), we explored Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, and Herman made sure every moment was perfect. Herman is fantastic with families and truly connects with kids – our teens adored him! His English is excellent, and he was so accommodating to our family’s style, happily adjusting to our pace and interests. He even turned animal spotting into a “Lion King” adventure, helping the kids spot their own versions of Simba, Pumbaa, Zazu, and more. He has a good eye for wildlife and took us to see lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, and countless other animals. The way he guided us made each sighting feel unique and magical. Halfway through our trip, when the vehicle’s AC failed, Herman didn’t miss a beat. We had an amazing safari trip that was planned and executed by Herman ( the manager) and Josh ( our great guide). contact with Herman was easy by WhatApp and mail before the trip closing all the details. all is included from the pickup from the airport, all the hotels, 3 meals a day and of course the safari days themselves and up to the return to airport for our flight to Zanzibar. Herman is very experience and sensitive and Josh have so much knowledge and sense to find the unique animal, so we enjoyed every minute with them and had unforgettable experience.

We found Hadzabe Safaris online, and they were rated hightly, and had the safaris to fit out need and schedule for our May 2024 trip. The owner 'Herman' was very knowledgeable, and accommodating to schedule to fit our needs, and also his english was superb. The pricing seemed fair and good value (about $2,200.00 all up as I recall, for two people). So we booked 2.5 + days of safaris with 2 nights accommodation, and all our airport transfers (two transfers for JRO-Arusha and two transfers for Arusha Hotel to /from Arusha Airport). It all worked out fantastic, and two nights of lodging selected by Hadzabe was Eileen's Tree Inn (excellent, by the way), which was near our safari destinations of Ngorongoro National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park. National Park entrance fees were included, and this is a big deal at about $61 or $71 per person per park per day. We saw several lions, a rhino, many zebras, many elephants, many monkeys, many wildebeests, many antelopes, thousands of pink flamingoes, many beautiful birds, majestic scenery, local scenery, and on and on. Eileen's Tree Inn stay included all meals (breakfast, dinner, and safari boxes made to order). I think Hadzabe has about 7 safari vehicles (usually Toyota Land Cruisers I think), so they are a small company, one of hundreds in the area, and they book out during high season which is about July to December. Our guide was Joshua, who had excellent english, knowledge, and experience, and was a very good driver as well, and was a genuinely nice guy, and a good animal spotter. Our safari vehicle was clean and equipped with electrical outlets (240v) and USB ports at each seat, and of course the usual pop up roof. All safaris and appointments were on time. At Eileen's Tree Inn, by the way, the food was better than the Four Seasons in Serengeti, the Gran Melia in Arusha, the Sheraton Four Points in Arusha, and that's saying a lot since those all had excellent food. We opted for the group tour instead of private, as our experience is that the more 'wildlife spotters' we have, the better, and this worked out very good, but frankly, if you want private, it isn't that much more, about 25% ish I think. The name 'Hadzabe' comes from the name one of the many Tanzania 'tribes', and permission was given to utilize their name for the business ! We gave our safari guide a tip of $110 ish for 2.5 days plus, and he really earned it, and we weren't sure if the other tourists always tipped our guide Joshua according to the usual amount of $25 to $35 per couple per day, as we read online. I highly recommend Hadzabe for your Tanzania safari experience !!

We did a five days safari, including Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Tarangire. Couldn’t have ask for a better operator. Herman and his team are all professionals and very well experienced for decades. From planning to finish everything was exactly as we hoped for. All our wishes were taken seriously and met. I had a wonderful time with Hadzabe Safaris! Most important for me was feeling safe as a solo female traveler and Hadzabe Safaris did a great job. I also got pretty lucky as I had signed up for a 3-day group tour plus 1 day at the waterfalls/coffee experience (highly recommend!) but, because it was low season, I ended up with a few days of a private tour. Since I've experienced both I can highly recommend the private tour. I learned more after 15 minutes with Joshua, my private guide, then the entire day on the group tour. For group tours they (reasonably so) have to accommodate for so many people whereas for private tours you are able to ask all your questions, make quick side stops, and decide what you'd like to see. Joshua is kind, professional, funny, and wildly knowledgeable about pretty much everything. He loves his job and really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have a great time. Thank you to him and the Hadzabe Safaris team!

Our tour with Hadzabe started in Arusha. Our guide for the 3 days- Joshua - picked us up in the hotel on time. After filling up the jeep at some kind of safari hub, our trip started. The jeep, the accommodation and especially our guide were excellent. He really knows where to go, how to position the car and has an impressive knowledge about the animals. He also took care of our lunch packages, water etc. and always showed up with a cleaned car in the morning. Furthermore, he obviously loves his jobs, as he was sometimes taking pictures and videos of the animals, as well. We also met the owner of Hadzabe after our return to Arusha. Prices are reasonable, but negotiation is recommended. We would definitely book again at Hadzabe, if we came back to Tansania for Safari.

It was the most interesting experience I've had so far! hadzabe Safaris Company took care of everything, plane tickets, transfers, accommodation, guide! The recommendations they made were the best! 2 Day Tarangire/Ngorogoro. Can not recommend. Driver impatient/Unfair pricing/poor customer service. Charged double then other guest on same safari!

I had the most wonderful 2 days in Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Park. Everything from booking, pick-up, accommodation arrangement, food, Safari and drop-off was so professional and well arranged! Many thanks to our guide Joshua who made our adventure safe, smooth, fun and exciting! He knew all about the wild life and the culture in Tanzania and actually most part of Africa. There was not a question he could not answer! Also many thanks to Herman who coordinated the booking and always replied fast and was so polite and helpful regarding any questions! We did a 6 day / 5 night safari plus a day hike to Mt.Kilimanjaro which was unforgettable. Hadzabe made this the most amazing experience ever and every moment with them was perfect! They did a flawless job of taking care of us and always made it so we were having a fantastic time! Joshua was the best driver on the road and did everything to get us up close with the animals we wanted to see, along with being able to spot animals from miles away and helping us find them in the binoculars! Damian is an excellent chef who provided us delicious and nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners and spent many hours each day keeping us fed and ready to be fresh for our safari! Japhet was an excellent mountain guide when climbing Kilimanjaro and had a great sense of humour which made him fun to hike with! Herman did a fantastic job of coordinating all the details along with giving us flexibility when there were other things we wanted to do. He did the most amazing job of planning the best safari possible! Overall, I 100% recommend Hadzabe because they gave us the best possible holiday, and I could not have asked for a more perfect trip! Our trip was booked through Herman who was great in sorting out the trip we wanted, We had Joshua as our guide who was very informative throughout our drive, the vehicle was a 4x4 off road that had a roof that lifted and viewing all around, pick up was at 8am as advised from our hotel, we stopped to pick up our pack lunch along the way which was very good, we did a full days game drive before heading to our lodge for the night, The room was clean and tidy with a double bed, shower and towels, The food for the evening was was great and lots of it, the following morning we had breakfast at 7:30 which was eggs how ever you wanted them with sausage and local foods, plus fruit, our next drive was another full day before being taken back to our own hotel which arrived aback around 7:30pm, we was extremely lucky during our drives to see the big 5 as well as lots of other animals, An amazing trip all round thank you :-))
