- 186sashac0 contributionsA struggle to get inI arrived, had no reservation, asked if I could use the lounge, lady at desk said gave I got my number? I said what number, reservation number, I said no she said sorry can't come in. So I left and went to the information desk and asked where I can go and use a lounge they said go to Miracle, I said just come from there and said I need reservation, they said go back and say you are prepared to pay. So, I went back saw the same lady and said can I pay to come in, she said yes, why did she nit offer that option to me 1st time if asking??Written 25 November 2024

- X6382AClouised0 contributionsWell worth the money Jo was amazing! This is a great idea. We were on honeymoon and our first adventure in Thailand. We booked the 4 hour tour, and they also do up to 8 hours. If you do want to extend the time once you're on your tour, you can at 500baht/£11, per hour. We chose the 8am pickup. The earliest they do is 7am. I would recommend an early start as it's so hot, and the traffic gets worse as the day gets on, which cuts into you time. We were picked up by Jo, our driver, on time from our lobby. He spoke good English and had a good understanding of English. Although the itinerary is set, Jo was happy to change it to wherever we chose. We drove through Patong with Jo showing and informing us of places to visit and eat at. We then went to Kamala and had a walk down the beach alongside the beach shacks. Beautiful vibe here. We then visited the old town of Patong for a walk around.. This is full of traditional houses full of colour. The shops here are a little bit more upmarket, more like boutique styles. Jo then took us to the largest temple in Phuket, which is in Patong, which is astounding. Although Jo was only paid for driving us around, he was very informative. Every where we went, he could answer our questions and also explained about the family Thai way of life compared to the western world. Thank you Jo you were amazing. Your service and attention to detail were impeccable. From being ready to whizz us off to the next location to the chilled water and flannels! 5* Jo!Written 19 November 2024

It is very nice to take special unique photos. A real recommendation if you want to see something special. We were there in the low season and there were few people, great. We spent 2.5 hours following the examples and making our own creations. Too bad you need a GSM 8Gb ram to be able to film the special effects. Only my GSM could view it and take photos (4Gb ram) but could not record the films. Too bad they did not provide anything for this. At the end is a special coffee bar and cake in a very special style. Great to photograph.Written 18 November 2024
- larada20160 contributionsAwesome way to explore PhuketOur tour guide Ras was amazing! He answered all our questions and planned out an itinerary that let us visit everything we wanted to see. Well worth the money, we had an entire air conditioned van to ourselves and we spent as much time as we wanted in each spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore the island!Written 17 November 2024

- _cplamont1210 contributionsWell worth the moneySuper find for our departure as the lounge was located right next to our gate D6. Really welcoming reception desk staff with good English. Lounge was bigger than expected but laid out in zones so always easy to find a quiet spot. There’s a self service bar area with spirits, multiple fridges with soft drinks and beers all with a good variety. Food at one end has hot meals, sandwiches, desserts, fruit, snacks. Other facilities include toilets, showers and live departures updates. Very happy with the experience for 1300 TBH (£29).Written 11 November 2024
- Josine T0 contributionsDefinitely worth it!!We had a fantastic time on our tour! Our driver was on time, very courteous and friendly, and spoke English well. He was happy to go with what we wanted to, so changing a couple of things was no problem. The car (l should say luxury van! for just the 2 of us) was very comfortable with good air conditioning. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would like to see many different sights in Phuket in a matter of hours.Written 10 November 2024

Amazing tour around an incredible foundation, doing great work to help the animals. Great way to see and learn about the animals. Lovely and very knowledgeable tour guide Edda. Fanatic Thai buffet supplied for lunch. A very worth while trip and well worth the money, added bonus that the money goes to a great cause.

It's wonderful to hear that you had an amazing tour and that you were able to visit a foundation dedicated to helping animals. Learning about animals and their conservation efforts can be both educational and fulfilling. If you have any more experiences or questions you'd like to share or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to let me know.

We had a great day exploring the wonderful work this centre does to rehabilitate animals and from pick up to drop off, the whole family love it! It was definitely worth the $$s. Natalie the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful as was Will. Highlight was feeding the elephants. 10/10 for a fab filled day! Fully recommend.

Natalie and Will seem like they provided excellent guidance and made the experience even more memorable. Feeding the elephants must have been a fantastic highlight! Thank you for sharing your wonderful day, and your recommendation will surely inspire others to visit.

The tour was really great! The guide was very well informed and had answers to all questions. It's great that the animals get what they need. Even if a herd animal is not able to live in a herd due to its history, everything is done to make the animal feel as comfortable as possible.
The enclosures are great.
However, they should expand the merch and offer it again before you are taken back to the hotel. I think that many people would then take advantage of it to support the foundation.
The overnight accommodation options also looked appealing. A really good idea to raise money for the foundation.

Booked this trip with our hotel concierge. Was told that we were booking a half day tour with an elephant encounter.
We were picked up right on time, but then drove around for another 45 minutes looking for other guests - some of which they had a lot of trouble finding. Took another 45 minutes to get to the location. That is a whole 1.5 hours of just driving around wasted.
Arrived late and was not offered the "free" coffee and tea as advertised.
Broken into two groups. Our group had all the kids. You would think they would cater the tour to children but instead - the tourguide Bee had us listen to his endless (some very violent) stories - standing in on place - too hot and too much of his talking for hours with small children.
Only saw an empty island - no gibbons, a few animals in cages and small pens. Saw one elephant from a distance - one kid even touched the electric fence and was crying - oops Bee forgot to warn the group that the fence was not to be touched.
Looking at the bear - a tree branch fell and almost injured a few members of the tour group.
All of this and no elephant encounter as promised/booked with our concierge with the tour group.
Would definitely NOT recommend this place. Too much talking, many inappropriate stories in front of children, too much standing around in the heat, its like going to a zoo with all the animals in cages. Company did not do activities as promised even when I mentioned to Bee that this is not what we booked - THEY DO NOT CARE.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience with this tour was not as expected. It sounds like there were several issues that made the tour disappointing, such as the long wait time to pick up other guests, not being offered the advertised coffee and tea, inappropriate stories told by the tour guide, and not seeing the promised elephant encounter. It's understandable that these factors would impact your overall experience negatively. Thank you for sharing your feedback, as it will help other travelers make informed decisions.

Booked a full day tour. Shame on me I forgot the name of the super nice and professional tour guide from Florida, who had just been working there for three months but seemed like she spent years with this organization.
WFFT really cares about the wellbeing of animals. In general there is a lot of space for the animals and if there are some, that live in smaller cages there is a unique reason for that, which gets explained comprehensively.
They inform about other animal Encounter Options in Thailand, such as Elephant Trekking, which really opens the eyes, informing what process the elephants go through before. Very important to know.
It was possible for the group to feed two of the elephants that are (half) blind and need to be handfed. Other than that we could see many types of monkeys, apes, bears, iguanas, birds, slow loris, tigers, leopards, and some more.
In this tour you can just feel the passion and effort the organization puts into their work and I am glad there is a place like this.
Would really recommend to take this tour if you want an honest and animal friendly encounter. Thank you so much for the lovely tour!

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! It sounds like you had an amazing full-day tour, and we're glad to hear how impressed you were with the care and effort the organization puts into the wellbeing of the animals. It's great that the tour provided such comprehensive information, especially regarding the treatment of elephants in other encounters, which really opens the eyes. The opportunity to feed the elephants and see such a wide variety of animals must have been a memorable experience. Thank you for recommending this tour for those seeking an honest and animal-friendly encounter. We're grateful for your kind words!
