Excellent tour/avoid the lunch
We did the the full day tour which was good. It includes trip to two islands, but the lunch was horrible. Avoid it of you can and buy your own lunch from one of the restaurants. The ferry ride took two hours one way which is very pleasant to enjoy if you are sitting down on your own. Worth the price and our tour guide was very helpful as well.

Great island to visit but be prepared for large number of tourists which appear from lunchtime onwards during peak holiday season. Would advise to go early to miss the crowds. Carriage ride around the island was fantastic and recommended. Plenty of places to eat and the food was good and reasonably priced. Plenty to see and great views.

Lovely guide with lots of information for history buffs and rug shoppers
We are both into history and stories so MENSURE ARI KANMAZ provided all the information we needed. We ask a lot of questions and she was so patient with us. We saw so much of Cappadocia—from the ancient Hittite times to the 1950’s these caves and churches were a part of this region’s culture. I loved the mushrooms, and the imagination mountains. The views are beautiful. Then we were given a lesson in making fine Turkish rugs. Watching the silk spin was almost as amazing as seeing how nimble the women were with their fingers. The artistry of the rugs is amazing. They will last for many generations. Then we learned about how they make ceramic pieces. These families have been making these pieces for many generations and they have their own family design. Lunch was at a Bezim Ev. The food was good and it was a darling quaint place to eat. Thank you MENSURE and Mostafa for a great day.

The journey was fun and organized, and the island is so beautiful. However, the duration is not enough, as if you are in a hurry. Because there are so many shops and places to explore around the island. I suggest to go by yourself, it is doable.

Headed to Uzungöl with my wife for a day trip. The ride was 3 hours (since it was holiday season and there was a massive traffic jam at the entrance). Upon arrival, we have seen the beautiful lake and the upstream small waterfalls. When we jumped off the bus, it was an extraordinary feeling. What is better than being in nature with nothing but waterfall sounds and fresh air! It is an amazing place. Have been around the world fairly but this is something else. It is a must do when you visit Trabzon. Do not miss it. And please don't drive there. The experience is great in groups with a guide to tell you all what you need to know and take you where it is worth. Just sit there and enjoy nature. Food was great with a lot of restaurants around. When you climb up, the view is breathtaking. Don't forget to try the parachuting when you are there. It is an activity that is done with professionals. I'd love to come back.
