          Taste of Marmaris
By far, hands down the best experience ever. I wish I had booked it a second time for my trip in marmaris. Our driver was the best and the whole excursion was honestly amazing. MR Rambo, had given us an experience we will never forgot. Not only did he bring entertainment but he made sure we were all safe and accounted for. Everything in comparison to this was night and day. Thank you Mr Rambo for such a wonderful day.

          Do not recommend
WILL NEVER BE DOING THIS AGAIN! the tour guides were nice and helpful but the horse riding was very short. The driver that picked us up collected us on a minibus that was falling apart. He was very rude too. When we were collected the driver had sped off before we could even sit down and put our seat belts on. We nearly fell over because of it. He had taken 1hr to pick us up too. I paid for a three hour horse riding experience and was only with the course for a maximum of 30 minutes. Although the horse riding staff were very helpful and friendly. The horses were well looked after but the transfer and the event as whole was awful and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Highly recommended!! So much fun would go again!!
This experience was absolutely amazing! Myself and my partner thought it was so much fun! We bought scarfs to cover our faces from the dirt, mud etc there (all cheap enough) also bring your own glasses if they are cheap but you can buy them there if not. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little mucky. The staff were all so great, providing fun & safety! Pictures were taken throughout, getting a good deal at the other end! The shuttle service even stopped at a great viewpoint for pictures on the way home. We had a water fight in the forest also, highly recommend!!

          Lovely trip
Lovely trip, sea and views were great and enjoyed the swimming opportunities. The visit to village was a nice break mostly fake shops but cheaper than Marmaris in if you are looking for a bargain we just had a drink and enjoyed the sun. Food was fine bbq chicken noodles and salad, ice creams offered too , you could buy chips, alcohol and crisps too. It was great value for money.

One of the best exoerinces ever, the staff both on the boat and in the water couldn't do enough to put us at ease and they made us feel welcomed. Our rep Eric was a great help also. We will be back again early next season and we will certainly be booking again.

Fabulous experience throughout..... right from booking, communication through WhatsApp from Hektor Tours was clear and concise with opportunity to ask questions, to which all were promptly answered. Tickets were sent via email 2 days prior and pick up times confirmed via WhatsApp the day before.
Hotel pick up was on time and comfortable transport for the day. Transport was yours throughout the day so belongings could be kept safe in the car. Driver was very professional and provided a good service.
Tour guide 'Beste' was amazing, very clear English spoken, really informative and gave opportunity for questions and provided full comprehensive answers.
The tour never felt rushed and a personal service was provided allowing timings for the activities to be guided by guest.
First stop off for breakfast, simple but tasty. Stonemason workshop, nice to see but more of a sales opportunity for the locals, but opportunity to browse and purchase from the large shop there. Small cafe to purchase Turkish coffee for €1. Pamukkale was beautiful as expected and a well guided tour given by Beste, followed by opportunity for free time to enjoy the thermal pools. A swim in cleopatra pool I would recommend,it is lovely and soothing. Also kids were allowed in, saw some with swim aids. Lockers available for belongings. Facilities are basic but well thought out and accessible. Worth the walk up to the theatre, fabulously preserved example. Lunch afterwards was provided, open buffet in a fabulous large restaurant, food was very good.
Overall, highly recommended trip and tour operator, would book again 😊

Visiting Pamukkale is your best bet among the many day trips available from Marmaris.
Although there's a very early start in the morning (anytime between 5:00-5:30) it's definitely worth to get out of the bed.
You're collected from your hotel by the coach and then the journey begins.
At the first stop you will have some breakfast that's included in your tour price. Note if you want some hot drinks that comes at your own expense. Card payments, EUR, GBP notes accepted too.
The second stop is a comfort break at a shell garage. Snacks, drinks and toilets are available.
The third stop is jewellery shop with some information about the sultanit stones. For card payments they charge some extra use cash instead if you want to buy something. Note however you are given some discount vouchers on entry these are not recognised at the cashier only if you spend over a certain limit. I suggest don't buy anything at all or spend something little as a memory.
Finally you are arriving to the "cotton castle" site. Our guide Beste explained everything about the place, organised group entry tickets and gave useful tips on the visit.
The lunch takes place just a five minute drive away from the site. To be honest it's best to stay away. Seating area is crowded, some food types are served some you can help yourself. No tags or info what's in front of you and don't even think about allergy warnings or other stuff. Also note some food served lukewarm and not hot. Drinks are not included of course. In the outside at least you can buy prepacked snacks, crisps and chocolate bars. Also there's a small gift shop too in case you forgot a Pamukkale fridge magnet. Card machine is broken of course cash only, exchange rate for GBP and EUR are the same.
On the way back there's a wine tasting stop; a short tasting session and some demonstration of different products. Massive gift shop awaits you on the way out but more importantly you can use toilets and get some snacks/drinks and coffee/tea too.
All in all the world heritage site of Pamukkale is a must have on your excursion list. Your guide is professional and helpful person who can help you on any issues you might have. Our guide Beste really deserves her name as the best guide!
        Thanks for the experience!

Early start at 2am but when the provided taxi got us to the bus it was almost full. We were the last couple to get seats together although at the back above the engine. The ladies in front of us had the seats reclined fully so we had barely any room. Journey to the balloon was ok but when we arrived it was still fairly dark and it was difficult to understand where to go. We made it to the launch site and waited for around 15 minutes while they got the balloon ready. It was great to watch. The flight itself was great and we got to see the sunrise and took some good photos. Total flight time was around 45 minutes. There was a push to purchase a video or photos at the end which was slightly uncomfortable but ok. On the bus the tour guide pressed the purchase of the hierapolis tickets for £27 and we asked what happened if you didn't want to go. We were told we can sit in the car park so we purchased the tickets as the car park and town of pamukkale was mostly empty. We then went for breakfast which was some stale bread and condiments. They gave us a fork and tooth pick but no knife to spread butter etc which was odd but funny. Waited in the onyx museum for a lot longer than expected then off to the hierapolis. The tour was much better than we expected and our guide Karem was great, very knowledgeable but spoke a little fast at times for me to understand. We didn't do the Cleopatra pool which was offered for I think 360 lira extra. It looked good but not essential. The walk was great for us but if you're a little less able, it could be tough in the heat. We then went to lunch in the nearby Tugba restaurant which receives very poor reviews. I thought it was ok but my partner didn't eat any of it. At one point they served chips which were cold and soggy. We then went to a wine tasting / Turkish delight maker which we considered staying on the bus but turned out to be one of the highlights of the tour.

Overall the tour was good but had I written the review at the beginning I would have been much less complimentary. The bus on the way out was poor and the breakfast was comically terrible in what can only be described as a cow shed. I think the hierapolis tour should be included by default as it's not really optional. The breakfast could use an upgrade but the tour guide, balloon experience and hierapolis tour made it for us.

First of all, when booking I was able to select a hotel in Turunc (for the pick up / hotel transfer), but then a couple of days before the trip I was messaged that they were unable to pick up from Turunc and I had to make my own way to Icmeler, which costed me an extra 100 EUR in car rental costs.
Secondly, be prepared for a very long and tiring bus journey. The bus had some kind of a gearbox problem and the driver had to stop several times.
Third, the stop just before Pamukkale, i.e. the onyx stone shop, was a waste of time in my opinion that would have been better spent getting to Pamukkale earlier to avoid the crowd and the midday heat.
As for Pamukkale itself, we really enjoyed the Cleopatra’s Pool, it’s well worth the extra 220 TL as it lets you get some relief from the midday heat. The white terraces, however, whilst very unique and beautiful, get extremely crowded, dangerous to walk (barefoot) and you can even get a heat stroke in the midday sun there. I think visiting it just before the sunset, in the evening, would have been a more pleasant experience.
The lunch on the way back was ok… nothing special, just a big hall (they clearly do this for people like us, on tours) with buffet-style food, a bit like a school lunch. Oh, and drinks are not included, so you need to pay extra for drinks (which in this heat were needed, so they exploited you further by charging 3-4 EUR for a can of coke?! I felt like I was in London rather than Turkey).
Last, but not least, nowhere in the description of the experience does it mention the exact cost of the entrance fee to Pamukkale, which is 700 TL per person (plus 220 TL for the Cleopatra’s Pool, which is optional), making this quite an expensive day out.
Would I recommend it? Was it worth it? I’m not sure…

Trip over all was fantastic with hidden gems on the way including our wine tasting exsperence. Our tour guide was funny, friendly and infornative. There are lockers avalible for all your belongings so it felt very secure, good amount or changing facilities, showers and toilets.

Be mindful if booking through a tour company, your ticket may not Include the entrance fee (€30 PP as of 17/04/2024) there is also an additional 200TL PP cost to enter Cleopatra' s pool.

Walk up to the theatre is steep so trainers advisable.

        Highly recommend, beautiful day out.

The place is a 10/10. However be aware of the money they charge to enter pamukkalae. The entrance fee is 30 euros equivalent to 1050 Turkish Lira, yet the agent charged 1100 Turkish Lira. And to swim in the Ancient/Cleopatra pool it’s 200 Turkish Lira and for a locker it’s 5 Turkish Lira, but in the end the agent again overcharged with 250 Turkish Lira. I would suggest that you go and pay yourself for entrance fee and to swim in the ancient/cleopatra pool instead of being scammed by these agents. Also, they accept only cash although they had a card machine.

Would have been more happier, had these agents communicated the commission fee.

I think it was the right time of the year to visit Pamukkale as it can be very busy. It was beautiful and I had the chance to walk around the terraces as well as the ancient city of Hierapolis with a beautiful amphitheatre. I've chosen MARES excursion as always as there are very professional and organised. To book with them is very easy and also they are cheaper than other providers as I had the opportunity to shop around. The level of service from others is inferior. MARES guides like Beste is excellent. I've done two excursions with her and I always followed her recommendations. She is very pleasant, kind and knowledgeable which an essential quality for being a guide. The only suggestion I would have is to include the entrance fee in the initial price as it can be confusing. Also, the different shops we stopped along the way can be very expensive. And as much as we, tourists, want to encourage local economy there are limits. If we feel we are overcharged, we won't buy as we know the value of things so I can understand why you are doing it but tourists don't appeciate like to be treated fairly.

We really enjoyed our trip to Pamukkale. The agency were very good at keeping in contact with us, letting us know our pick up time in the morning and the cost of the entrance fee to Pamukkale (700 TL).

The tour guide, Kadir, had a great sense of humour and made us feel very welcome. He gave an interesting talk about Pamukkale and the history and different regions of Turkiye.

We got 3 hours free time to explore Pamukkale which was a great amount of time to explore the travines and also the historical ruins that surround them. The views from the site were incredible!

The food was okay. The restaurant for lunch was not the most hygienic - none of the food was covered.

Lovely day out, the sights are wonderful and the atmosphere was amazing. We started our day with a 5:30am pick up and drove to a lovely cafe for some breakfast before heading back on the road to Pamukkale pools. The pools were very busy but there was enough chance to get some photos and admire the views. Within the pools the floor is very sharp as its stones under water and shoes are not allowed. The floor at the side (across the small gap) the floor is slippery. Cleopatras pool looked stunning and very clear. The area and grounds were immaculate and the ruins were spectacular. My partner had the best day and the sights were amazing.
