- 17:30 Your Jeep and guide will meet you at your hotel. We start our jeep tour through the countryside, stopping at the busy fish market on the outskirts of town for some great photo opportunities. Your drive continues the 50kms to My Son, passing breath taking scenery, rural villages and a bustling town and markets. We stop at an ancient Baynan Tree in Nam Phuoc and enjoy a real Vietnamese coffee. 9:00 We continue our jeep tour to My Son and arrive to the haunting sound of Cham music, where we stop to take in the vibrantly dressed dancers enjoying a traditional dance performance. Your walking tour to the Cham ruins begins with a short ascent along a track bordered by jungle. As we reach the top, the fascinating ruins appear. While you explore the area and your guide will explain the history of the religious site which served as a burial place for the Cham monarchs many centuries ago. 11:00 Once we have explored My Son, we take the drive back to Hoi An by jeep to start our boat trip.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Erik K0 contributionsVespa Tour is a JOKEHi dear travellers, I am 102 kg and 1,96 m and good trained . I had a " Vespa Tour " which means 2,5 driving to the City on the back of a scooter on a seat of 30x30 cm 5 cm thickness. Can ANYBODY tell me what is the fun of doing that ? I expected a trip through rice fields on your own Vespa with a guide. So if you expect the same BELIEVE ME : Don't take THSI Tour. It's really a joke. Halfway i told them to stop and bring me for the last 50 km just back to my Hotel by a taxi . It is WITH ALL RESPECT an absolute NO GOWritten 11 February 2020
- thecelebration0 contributions2 day tour to Quang Ngai provinceI was staying in Hoi An and needed a driver and English speaking guide for a 2 day tour to visit some particular sites in Quang Ngai province. Tony of Rose Travel organised the trip and provided a good vehicle, safe driver and helpful guide. Thank you!Written 18 October 2019
- Caitlin09940 contributionsExcellent tourAnd excellent experience. We expected to be part of a Jeep convey but we were the only ones, our own private tour. Excellent tour guide and driver. The only thing was the “handcrafted” statue shop was a total waste of time but you can decide how much time to spend there. The guide was also willing to take us to a highly recommended tailor at the end of our tour, wait for us to get fitted and take us back to the hotel. Just be mindful there are a lot of steps on marble mountain and extremely humid - lots of water is required.Written 21 August 2019
- Linda E0 contributionsDay trips from Hoi AnLy, our tour guide was excellent. Friendly, informative and attended to all our needs on the trip. Took plenty of photos for us. The arranged lunch was delicious and plenty of. Drivers took great care to keep us safe on the busy roads.Written 10 July 2019
- CaroVet20180 contributionsDay trip to HueA very full day! Hoan our guide, and the driver, collected us from Hoi An for a trip to see Hue. Very comfortable car, and restaurant lunch provided. We saw many ancient sights, but they meant all-the-more to us as Hoan had delivered a colourful potted history of Vietnam's people from 16th century as we were driving. There's been so much political turmoil in this Land that I now better understand.Written 23 June 2019
- mickcampbell0 contributionsAwesome adventureWe got picked up by our guide Binh and his driver in a US army Jeep , we went to a food market which had all sorts of cool things unique to Vietnam , had a look at a place where they make really detailed bronze and aluminium artifacts , had a stop at a little shop out in the country to drink Vietnamese coffee and then to My Son , Binh really knows he’s stuff when it comes to the history of his country and the culture, all the other tourists were trying to listen in to our private tour to hear his stories of the area , he has been doing it a long time so he knows all the secrets to get the best out of the trip. Binh is really easy going , funny and speaks good English We stopped for a meal before returning to our hotel around 2 pm , the food was beautiful and if you can finish it all you are doing a lot better then me , so much food Thank you Binh for the great dayWritten 17 May 2019
- stara19820 contributionsFantastic day tour to my sonThis tour was fantastic. We got picked up on time from our hotel and taken to a few stops before my son. The fruit and vegetable market was interesting and the ladies are lovely, no one pushing you to by anything as you look around and we got some passion fruit to take home. The coffee stop was good before we went to my son, our tour guide Binh explained that doing these stops first allows for most of the tourists to be gone from my son, which was great as we could walk around, take pictures and listen to Binh without being to crowded. Lunch was so delicious after the temple and then we got dropped back to our hotel (full and happy). This tour was enjoyable because we felt relaxed and not rushed, Binh is a great guide with a good sense of humour and has allot of knowledge. Loved it :)Written 17 May 2019
- sabsandthecity0 contributionsNice day outIts a small group, only 6 people plus the guide. He was very nice. The included lunch was tasty too. Comfortable, airconditioned mini bus. Boat where we had lunch wasnt air conditioned but it was nice and cool with the river breeze.Written 28 April 2019

- theprestidge0 contributionsMost romantic proposal - 10/10 service!!Yesterday I proposed to my girlfriend on board this tour by Rose Travel Service. Despite organising less than 2 days prior, the company initiated and held excellent communication with me to plan my big moment. They really went the extra mile to deck the boat out with rose petals and sourced a special bottle of wine. Being picked up in the open-sided Jeep by our local guide Chinh and taken on a scenic ride through Hoi An was a fun start to the evening. We stopped for photos with the Jeep out in the fields and got some awesome shots! The crew knew of my plans but kept everything hush as we boarded the beautiful boat. They were extremely courteous and provided excellent service - we really were made to feel like royalty. The 5-course meal as the sun set was excellent, the atmosphere and scenery absolutely incredible!!! My fiancée told me that she could not have dreamed of a more perfect setting. Chinh went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and took some amazing photos of his own which he later forwarded to me. After more than enough food, we said goodbye to the crew and boarded a smaller sampan boat and we gently steered alongside old town Hoi An. We were given at least two dozen candle lanterns to release in a trail behind the boat, which was a most magical and surreal experience. I should also mention that the company was also very accommodating in helping me organise two local photographers on board the ship to capture our time together. Altogether, the organisation was seamless and easy and the cruise itself was of a very high standard. Huge thankyou to the crew and especially Chinh for making our night so special! Everything was perfect and I couldn't praise this service enough. Thankyou!!!!! :)Written 25 October 2018
- fluffymonkey0 contributionsFirst class tour businessWe arranged a day tour of Hue (from Hoi An) with Rose Travel. It was a private tour so we had our own driver and guide (Tommy). It was a long day but well worth it if you are short of time and don't want to miss the cultural capital Hue. The tour takes you over the Van Hai pass going and the new(ish) tunnel back to save time. Tommy was an absolute gentleman, incredibly knowledgeable and spoke impeccable English. Despite some random event happening in Hue when we arrived, which meant traffic was being diverted away from the main Citadel entrance, Tommy dealt with it superbly. The driver was very courteous and more importantly had our safety at mind. I would not hesitate to book through Rose Travel again, and ask for Tommy again!Written 25 September 2018
- Vanetta K0 contributionsExcellent Jeep Ride to My SonBooked two jeeps for 4 of us. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and our driver Tim was an awesome driver and very friendly. My mum and partner both 76 enjoyed their ride, but it was a little tricky for them to get out of Jeep. We loved that we got picked up at 5.30am so we beat the crowds and the heat at My Son. Had a lovely noodle breakfast on the way and another refreshment stop on the way back all included in our price. Ms Nguyen was very helpful.Written 24 September 2018
- raandaka0 contributionsMy Son, independently by private carWe did not do this tour. But we did visit My Son, independently by private car arranged through our hotel (Lantana Boutique Hotel, Hoi An), leaving Hoi An at 7am, arriving there about 8am, which we would highly recommend, (to miss the tour bus crowds and heat of the day). It seems that tours to My Son usher tourists straight to the major sites and they do not get to see the whole site... a real pity. We had been wandering around My Son, starting as directed by the circular route for quite some time and in isolation, when towards the end, we came across tourists at the major sites who had certainly not been behind us & clearly had gone directly there... so my recommendation to other early morning independent tourists who want to avoid the tourist hoardes, do as the tourist hoardes do, go to the major sites first! and then you will have them all to yourselves, then move on to the lesser sites and you will still have those also to yourselves, as they won't even bother going there...Written 15 September 2018
- Jezpoo62630 contributionsExcellentWe got picked right on time by our driver and guild Binh. It was a private tour. They took us to a village were they made an aluminium stand right before our eyes, then we went to a fresh food market a pig market and then we stopped and had a Vietnamese coffee and then of to My Son. Binh was just so informative and a wonderful and funny man. If we could of scored him 100/10. We then went and had traditional vietnamese food at a lovely ladies house and there was just so much food. We thought she was feeding an entire village. It was the best tour we have had in HoianWritten 6 September 2018
- evilc13th0 contributionsWhat was once is no moreThe forested peak and quite retreat of yesteryear has gone to make way for games arcades, noisy beer halls and tourist bling. Make the effort to travel in the cable cars and enjoy the magnificent views and the new Golden bridge but to stay is to be one of the very many moving from gaudy attraction to the next plastic display.Written 11 August 2018
