- Explorer4446720 contributionsMore than met our expectations. The bicycle tour was amazing. We went through beautiful countryside and small villages. We happened upon a family harvesting peanuts and was invited to harvest some as well as eat a few raw peanuts 😊 We also stopped when Thanh noticed people burning offerings to their ancestors and again allowed to participate. Such a warm and welcoming experience. All in addition to the wonderful scheduled experiences made this tour a highlight! Definitely recommendWritten 22 March 2025

- Karen E0 contributionsJeep Jeep Beep Beep!Really enjoyed this tour! Sanji was a wonderful tour guide who spoke good English and made the tour enjoyable. I was travelling alone and was matched up with 4 other delightful Aussie tourists. We had lots of laughs along the way, sharing a wonderful experience together. The home cooked meal to start with was delicious. Followed by a drive in the country down back roads and country lanes. It really gave you a good insight into the daily lives of these humble people. Travelling in the army jeep was good fun and the stops along the way very educational and the scenery beautiful. I would highly recommend this company and this particular tour if you are wanting a cultural out of the city experienceWritten 21 March 2025

- Voyage2441560 contributionsA n interesting and fun afternoon in rural Hou AnWe wanted to see more rural Vietnam and our tour guide Kha and his driver of the Jeep were fantastic. We had an excellent afternoon out of the city where we learnt so much about rural family businesses. We were able to try rice paper and noodle making and bamboo incence stick making. We watched a couple weaving sleep mats out of dyed reeds and had a go at doing it. We tried avocado and coconut coffees and went to a vegetable village. We also had lots of laughs on a coconut boat. Kha was great to chat with, fun and very knowledgeable. We would recommend this trip.Written 18 March 2025
- Graeme M0 contributionsExperience the rural lifestyle and cottage industries in and around Hoi anFriendly, helpful driver and guide interesting places visited Kha was an excellent guide and a great ambassador for his country. His enthusiasm increased the value of the various interesting places we visited. He started out as a tour guide and finished up a friend. Long, our driver was very good at negotiating the tight, narrow lanes of the various villages we visited, and we felt very safe with him behind the wheel. The jeep, while being fairly basic, was reasonably comfortable, and the air-conditioning was excellent. Thank you, Buddy Tours, for a great tour and interesting places to see and experience.Written 18 March 2025
- kathrynfB6759QB0 contributionsHoi An village adventure with a new friend. We had a wonderful day with Kha that started with an exciting cycle through the Hoi An traffic, as our hotel was a way off from the regular meeting place. Kha’s excellent guidance made this a pleasurable and safe experience as we navigated through the market areas to the country bridges and villages. His cheery nature, English communication skills and curiosity enabled us all to share insights into each other’s cultures and lives. Meeting the genuine village craft people and trying your hand at noodle making, sleeping mat weaving and incense making gave us a true appreciation for their hard work and skills. We stopped at a trendy village cafe to chat and watched a craftsman cutting Mother of Pearl inlay by hand which was mesmerising. It was an honour to meet these older artisans in their home environments. The country scenery , fresh air, cycling and boat ride at the end back to the Old quarter before dinner at a riverside resturant was such fun. We’re so glad you decided to change careers Kha, we feel like we have a friend in Hoi An!Written 17 March 2025
