A dayout on the mighty Zambezi
Feb 2021
My friends and I went on a day trip rafting with Safpar at the weekend and the mighty Zambezi more then lived up to its reputation. It was both a thrilling and terrifying experience with beautiful views of the gorge the entire time. Despite the intensity of the water, the team at Safpar make us all feel safe throughout with both a safety boat and kayaks that reached you quickly if you did fall in. The hike out the gorge is tough but you're met at the top with softies and snacks, which feels well earned after the day. The team even sorted us out some beers for the road home which was an added bonus! Safpar then sent us loads of great photos of our day on the water. If you are seeking a thrill and a unique view of the Zambezi then I could not recommend white water rafting more, and with the added safety and effort we got from Safpar, I thoroughly recommend them too.

Most amazing and scary experience!
Feb 2021 • Couples
Rafting in the gorge of the Victoria Falls was clearly an intense, terrifying and awesome experience. The team is very professional so that after falling and finally getting our heads out of the water, the people in charge of safety are already at our side to help us. Once our feet are on the ground, we are all very proud to have achieved this beautiful adventure recognized worldwide. The hike back to the vehicles is quite intense, good shoes are necessary (water is provided)! Although we were afraid for our lives, we have no regrets and are very satisfied to have chosen Safpar!

White (water) privilege!
4 days and 3 nights of the world finest rafting, with exceptional guides, equipment, and food was truly a privilege. To have this beautiful river entirely to yourself and the knowledge that it may be lost forever to the construction of a dam made it all the more poignant. Thank you to the safpar team for an unforgettable experience. If you are reading this, do it while you still can!

Had the most insane time with these guys white water rafting on the Zambezi! A must do experience in Zambia, and you’ll be in great hands with these guys. Have never seen more skilled kayakers before in my life - you feel very safe with them even in the most hectic rapids. Our guide Boyd was the absolute best - top kayaker in Zambia! Couldn’t recommend this experience more!

What an end to 2019!!
If you like an adrenaline rush this trip is for you! The trip was well organised, with a thorough safety brief before we headed for the Zambezi. Henry guiding our boat was amazing, informative and good fun. He made sure my 15 yr old was safe when we flipped and ensured my adrenaline junkie 18 yr old was happy too. It’s definitely not for the faint hearted but if a 50 + Mum can do it anyone can! I can’t recommend this company enough even the lunch afterwards was good! Definitely worth the money

I'm not sure if I was more excited or scared
Nov 2019
Yes, getting dumped into a class 4 or 5 rapid is scary, very scary, but making it through a rapid is exhilarating. I was probably the most afraid as I fell out on the first big rapid and was afraid to fall out again. BUT it was also really fun. Our guide KayJ and "security team" lead by Baby Face were both very confident, encouraging, knowledgeable, and overall wonderful guides. KayJ would mentally prepare us for each rapid we approached, telling us the name of it, its class, and multiple ways the ride through could go. For example, telling us we were going to approach on the left and then paddle as fast as we could over to the right, if we didn't give it our all, we would be pulled into a hole, flipping our raft. We survived with his wonderful guidance! KayJ definitely went above and beyond for us helping us get to a bungee jump experience after our trip. They also provide amazing photography and video of your trip, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. Shocking for any type of booked trip like this.

Swimming in the Zambezi - what more could one ask for?
Lots and lots of rapids. BOYD our guide was a legend! Lots of fun - DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Just wear plenty of sunscreen all over. I’d also suggest a long arm rash vest (ones surfers use) and a costume long enough to cover your knees.

Dear 115deanb, Thank you for rafting with Captian Boyd and our whitewater team with Safpar on the mighty Zambezi River. We are all thrilled to hear you had a great time with our passionate team. A long sleeve rash vest is an excellent item to bring on our rafting trips. We encourage guests to bring quick drying light clothes, a long sleeve cotton shirt is a great idea if you haven’t got a rash vest. It is also vital that guests bring good footwear, trainers are ideal. The hike into and out of the Batoka Gorge to access the sections of the river on which we raft. Is demanding and can be the most challenging part of the day. While you don’t need to be an extreme athlete the ability to do these hikes is an indication of the fitness levels necessary to enjoy your rafting experience. Thank you for rafting with us once again, Take care on your travels, Safpar.

Safpar is THE BEST
Oct 2019 • Friends
I truly can't say enough good things about my experience in Zambia with Safpar. The whitewater festival was non stop fun for three amazing days. The river is one of the best I've ever been down. The staff literally bend over backwards to show you a good time. The logistics are all worked out seamlessly making everything easy on what would otherwise be a very complicated trip to work out for yourself. All of the guides and equipment are top quality. It's a once in a lifetime experience that should not be missed. Truly unforgettable and you get all of the high quality photos and video footage to help you remember. I highly recommend safpar to anyone visiting Livingstone whether you are a kayaker, experienced paddler or a novice looking for an incredible first time, they will take excellent care of you.
