About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Hildenbro0 contributionsFantastic Bulawayo to Harare transferTruly outstanding. Lesley is an absolute professional: responds to messages promptly and was very reasonable cost-wise, He was very friendly but equally happy to travel im silence when you need to zone out. During our transfer from Bulawayo to Harare, he not only drove carefully and smoothly but was always anticipating what might be flying down our side of the road from the opposite direction. No hesitation in recommending him.Written 12 September 2024
- OysterHB0 contributionsGreat trip to KhamiWe had a really enjoyable afternoon at Khami ruins, it was great to be able to walk amongst the old stone walls. Our guide Valentine was knowledgeable about the ruins and the history of Zimbabwe. Good for nature lovers too, there are a pair of Fish Eagles in the area and we also saw a Brown Snake Eagle. Would recommend this trip.Written 12 September 2024
- marcelomaio0 contributionsExcellentIt was fantastic. Our guide, called Lesley, was very helpful and nice. Good quality and reasonable price. Nothing to complain about.Written 8 August 2024
- zwez0 contributionsTop notch tour experience!Top 10 most beautiful places in the world. Our tour guide, Valentine, was incredibly knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I hope to connect with him again. We have some incredible photos to share. I highly recommend him. We saw Rhino, Kudu, Baboons, A Black Mamba, Small Spotted Gennet, Bush Bock, Guinea Foul, and more. He took us to see 10,000 year old Bushman markings on stones and taught us about plant life that is unique to that region of the world. Oh yes, don't forget to enjoy the majestic sunrise!Written 21 June 2024
- Curious309862113240 contributionsA Great Experience at the Great ZimbabweWe took the two day trip from Bulawayo to the Great Zimbabwe and it was worth every minute. Our journey started on time and we enjoyed the road trip. We had asked for some local snacks and found the one ones rhey had picked for us quite pleasant. I understand they are indehenous to Zimbabwe. Once we got there the guide that Bonisa Excursions assigned to us was very knowledgeable. The sunsets and accommodation was cosy, clean and warm. We are planning our next trip to Victoria Falls and will book with this company again. A big thank you to our driver Tinashe who was very accommodating.Written 2 May 2024
- michaelavZ9368JL0 contributionsRoad to Vic FallsLesley was a fantastic driver and a please to talk to on our journey. I was a bit nervous after being warned about what a rough road this trip was on, but Lesley was very knowledgeable about the conditions and created a very smooth experience for us. We are so grateful!!!Written 24 April 2024
- Stephen H0 contributionsSuperb trip with Tawanda, strongly recommendedWe had an incredible trip with our guide, Tawanda, who brilliantly led us through the National Park and all the various sights inc. the Rock Caves, World’s View and the Rhino Walk. Tawanda was engaging and extremely knowledgable: he grew up in the area and his experience really made this tour stand out: his knowledge of the various animals, insects, flora, caves and trees was astonishing and he is also a great story teller. Transport was all excellent, we were picked up from our hotel and had a great few hours out. Strongly recommended trip!Written 9 October 2023
- 755jennyy0 contributionsReliable transportation service! We had Lesley as our driver to get us from Victoria falls to Buluyawo and then around Buluyawo for the week we were there. There was a large group of us and a lot to coordinate. He was always calm, cool, collected, punctual, professional and knowledgeable. We always felt safe and his vehicle was in great condition. We learned a lot during our ride from Vic Falls to BUL and he stopped along the way for us to experience some of the local highlights. It’s was a very authentic experience that I am extremely thankful for. We are returning may of 2024 and will be using this company for our transportation needs.Written 5 October 2023
- 588amk0 contributionsA day in ZimbabweWe had the pleasure to enjoy the services of Lesley Ndebele of Bonisa Excursions while we traveled from Bulawayo to the Hwanga National Park in Zimbabwe. Lesley is a fine gentleman that conquered us with his kindness and care. He made sure we are comfortable and safe during the day we spent together. He has great personality and we highly recommend him to anyone that needs tours and/or transportation while in Bulawayo and surroundings. Lesley knows the area perfectly as well as the local residents and the local customs. We felt very safe the entire time we were in his care and we wish him all the best. - MarvinR6350 contributionsGreat day at Matopas with Ianfabulous ! Ian Harmer is the best guide I have ever had. His knowledge and passion for wildlife and his country have to be experienced to be believed ! Would recommend him very highlyWritten 25 July 2023
- dianarT5625DB0 contributionsCompany license expired/ 2h at the Entrance Gate/ Didn’t get inTour began at 8:20, got to the National Park entrance gate around 9h and spent 2 hours there trying to get in the park. Turns out their license to operate in Matopos was expired. They made an effort to put me in another tour which was starting at 13:00 and that was nice (and expected) of them. But I would have to wait there at the entrance gate until then. That means staying there from 9am to 1pm (4 hours). I got very disappointed and just wanted a refund. They drove me back to my hotel and were efficient to make the refund through TripAdvisor, I was happy about that. The guide was very friendly and he was really sorry about everything. My advice is that before you book this tour with Bonisa Excursions you check with them first if their Matopos National Park license is not expired.Written 24 April 2023

The Natural History Museum should be deleted from the tour. At the US $10 admission price, it simply isn't worth it. They should have paid me to go there! The balance of the tour is okay. The guide is very good, very knowledgeable. The Railway Museum is a highlight of the tour. Also, the Nesbitt Castle is excellent, and it's a nice thing to enjoy at the end of the tour. In conclusion, the guide is very good, and the tour is okay, but the Natural History Museum is a rip off, and I wouldn't recommend going there at all.
