The Sake Brewery tour was very informative thank you to our knowledgeable guide Yama. It was very interesting to learn about the Sake making process and sample some very nice kinds, Kanpai!

This village was pure magic and it’s like travelling back in time . Our lovely guide spoke great english and took us around to show everything as well as at the end brought us to lovely soba ramen home kitchen like place. We loved it

I booked this as I wanted someone to explain to me and my family what we were seeing. Yama met us at the Shirakawago bus terminal and then took us around. I was travelling with 5 seniors, all above 70. Yama was patient and accommodated their pace especially when walking up and down the viewpoint. Having a guide was especially helping when touring the museum as Yama took time to explain what we were seeing. This was my 2md time to Shirakawago and I got so much more this time. The tour ended with lunch when a table was already reserved for us and we could order any set from the menu. Good day out.

We visited the oldest Sake Brewery in Takayama with our guide Mui. She was amazing! She explained everything so well. We learned a lot about the brewing process, as well as the history of Takayama. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Mui!

A terrific little tour explaining and demonstrating the skill and technique of sake making. The guide, Mu, was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. If I have any complaint, and it is nothing to do with the tour itself, I was concerned about the exorbitant TripAdvisor booking fee, at around 50% of the direct tour cost. This is not fair to customer or tour provider.

A great tour to understand the sake brewing process, a little sake history for the area and a tasting with explanation of different types of sake. “Mu” is a terrific guide and she makes you feel as if you are visiting with a friend from Takayama.

We had a great tour with Yama! We took the gondola to the top of the mountain and it was a clear perfect day. We had lunch at the restaurant in the gondola station and then went to the limestone caves. Yama was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our group had a wonderful day!

Miyuki(Mu) was amazing! We ended up getting her all to ourselves. She walked us around town explaining the history. Every so often we would stop at a local food stall or shop and we would pay for snacks if we wished to try it. The last part of the trip was the brewery. We were able to see some of the packaging process and Mu took us through the process of how it is made with pictures and small samples. Lastly was the tasting, my favorite was the sweeter plumb sake 😋 Thank you Mu, we had a wonderful time! I would recommend this tour!
