There are not very many photographers in Shirakawago/Takayama area who speaks English, and we are lucky to find TK! The pictures that he took for us were lovely and captured our great memories in Japan!

TK is very professional with his strong sense of beauty. We are so content with all the photos as the angle and colour tone are amazing. Since we are handicapped for posing, he is patient to guide us for pose and results are natural as he will also capture our interactive moments. He knows well about the village and could capture various background with nice angles. Communication is good as well as his English is fluent and provide suggestion on time for taking photos which could avoid crowd. He picks us up at hotel and drives us back after the photo session which is cozy during cold weather. Photos sharing is swift & efficient. Totally worth the price and must try. My husband and I spend two full days with Takatoshi Kurikawa, the owner of TK Photography in Kanazawa, traveling one day around the Noto Peninsula and the other days to the World Heritage villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokoyama. Both trips exceeded our expectations ! We saw so much that we would never have seen without renting a car or without spending hours of additional research and organization to find out where we might want to go and how we could get ourselves there. TK has already done all that. Not only is is well-organized (and a great, safe driver), but he is personable, engaging, knowledgeable about both areas and about Kanazawa the city, he is a particularly good photographer who recorded us — apart and together — photographing the sites we visited. I would very strongly recommend TK Photography for anyone wanting to see more us the area around Kanazawa.

We enjoyed our trip with Taka-san a lot, he took us to secret places to take some amazing pictures with beautiful scenery, it was a lot fun following his guidance and we are very satisfied with the outcome of the photoshoot and the whole trip. Highly recommended destination. Noto peninsula is beautiful and not crowded unlike many of the better known destinations in Kanazawa. The illumination was truly striking. It was good to have TK because he was a professional guide, an safe driver, and took amazing photos under challenging lighting. Despite knowing Japanese, this would have been a tough destination without assistance.
