Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

1.Meet your instructor at the daruma shop Daru-chan No Ouchi, near the entrance of Jindaiji Temple.(10 min)
2.Choose a fabric. This is probably the toughest, yet most fun part of the process. There are so many beautiful fabrics to choose from that you may have a hard time picking just one.(5 min)
3.Write your wishes on the body of the daruma and paint daruma’s face on the fabric.(10 min)
4.Cut the fabric into various-sized pieces depending on the print and pattern, and paste them onto the daruma’s body. Let your imagination run wild. Maybe a masterpiece is in the making! (30 min)
5.Leave the glue to dry. Meanwhile, engage in fun daruma-themed games and take pictures while enjoying some Japanese tea and daruma senbei.(15 min)
6.The session concludes. Daruma’s sharp glance is believed to repel bad luck, so place it somewhere near you so that it can always watch over you and protect you.

Great experience!
Greeted at Toro station by Jun in person before taking us on a pleasant walk to our first bonsai garden. Spoke about the history of Bonsai in Japan along the way. Had a nice lunch at a local cafe where we practiced some bonsai techniques before visiting another larger garden. All in all a great experience with a fantastic guide. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a break away from the busy Tokyo metropolis.

Wonderful experience!
The kimono experience was definitely a highlight of our trip to Japan. Our dressers, Ru and her mother were very helpful and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this experience if you are visiting the beautiful Ritsurin Gardens.

Explore Tokyo in a different way
I can highly recommend this event for people who want to explore this great city in a different way. The trail gives you a good impression of what the city looks like. Our guide told us a lot about the many highlights that this city has, but also about places that only local people can find. At every important place, he took a picture of us so that you have a memory for later. After finishing the running tour, we recupperated our body in a local onsen bath in the open air of this world city. An unique experience! To make it complete, we finished the tour by having a diner in local hide out. The original local food was excellent! Our guide also offers hiking tours, unfortunately I did not have the time to book it.

What a fantastic bonsai experience
Really amazing experience with June, our teacher/guide. Start of with Bonsai city itself. Off Toro station, it is a quiet paced breath of fresh air. Open streets, not crowed, and all locals. Our guide/teacher, June, met us promptly at the train station. A third generation bonsai expert- he has knowledge, fun, laid back and spoke excellent English. We started with a tour of two nurseries - with some of the most amazing trees I have ever seen. Could not take pics as- sadly, prior posting of visitors (not associated with this session) led them to bring targeted. So while no pics of nursery/ I assure you they were large and spectacular. More impressive, we got to spend a great deal of time looking at specimens that peaked our interest. June would answer any and all. Leisurely and no pressure. After that we went to a local coffee shop and took an upstairs room and had our training. He brought multiple specimens and showed my son and I how to trim, wire, and cut back three different trees. He was very patient and made it all fun. I could not more highly recommend this learning experience, if you are interested in Bonsai at all/ it should be a must for anyone visiting Tokyo. Even if just passing interest in bonsai- this is low cost guide to experience a quiet part of Japan. You won’t regret it.

Something fun and different
Really enjoyed learning about Japanese archery and trying it out. Really fun! Went to a local sports gym from the station and changed into Japanese clothing before learning about the shooting form and then trying the shots as well. Would definitely recommend.
