You will be greeted by your instructor at her personal cooking studio in Aoyama, filled with a cozy and intimate atmosphere. She is a confectionery expert who trained under notable chefs in Japan and France, and has published many recipe books herself. After a brief explanation on the process and a little preparation, let's get right into the action!
In this class, you'll make 3 different kinds of delicious Japanese sweets:
Taiyaki (fish-shaped pancake filled with red bean paste),
Mitarashi Dango (sweet dumpling made from rice flour covered with a sweet soy sauce glaze), and
Kuzuneri (matcha-flavored arrowroot pudding). The instructor will explain the process step by step and teach you some professional tricks, so that you can bring the recipe back and easily recreate them at home.
After you're done preparing all the sweets, let's savor them with a bowl of Japanese tea to end the class on a high note!
