At 6.00a.m se habe landed in Almaty. Everthinhg was perfekt till meeting with thief taxidrivers of a special company. Instead of 2500 Tenge -5 Euro-they became 15.000 Tenge -30 Euro. Thanks Gid our Hotel Manager has called them after 3 days and they paid 10.000 Tenge back online in 5 Minutes. Later on we were all around with yandex Taxi with less Problems. In 3 days I have writren many time to the Taxi Company. They gave us no Answer.

I was very concerned about reliable airport transfer in Almaty because I have a short layover trip. Calling a taxi from Yandex app was recommended by many but I was still positively surprised by the ease of use. Registration has been simple except some countries’ mobile will fail due to not receiving confirmation message. My US mobile number worked well. The quoted rate had been very reasonable and the gps location of pickup point had been accurate. Drivers tended not to speak English but had been professional all the time. Later I also used in Tbilisi, Georgia for many rides. I want to recommend this app to everyone who travels in this region where Uber is not available.

Electric Taxi At the Door at Arrival is a scam if n Almaty. Not only for money but they are threat to Tourists & visitors. This Airport Taxi took 35,000 Tenge from me for Electric Car Taxi Services at Almaty Airport to Kazzhol Hotel Almaty. At airport they said 1,000 and when reached hotel, the guy started shouting and show me Meter in his phone. Two Men travelled for taxi. This is a scam and thread to Tourist. It should be banned. Absolutely life threatening experience. Bad Bad Very Bad.
