Amazing Place
We went here during the month of June 2019. It was hot and humid, and I dripped with sweat, but it was worth every drop. Amazing creatures, beautiful giants!

Wonderful Orangutan experience with dedicated staff.
Please support this great cause, you should get to see Orangutans up close at feeding time as well as some in the distance. It's great to see them in a natural environment. I would recommend going in the morning.

Meet and greet airport transfer
It’s a was a brilliant service provided. Before I arrived I got a whats app message to confirm details. On arrival driver was waiting, before I took the return trip again for a message. On both trips the drivers were very helpful. It was also very nice to receive a courtesy call from Mdm Rani from the agent company Magunatip Holidays. Literally gave me that re-assurance. I highly recommend the service, especially the meet and greet after a 17 m hours flight from London. I am in Langkawi, before heading to Qatar, and will certainly continue to use the services.

Support this Rehabilitian Center!
Be sure to arrive early and follow the two daily opening time: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. daily. (You can drive to the parking area near the feeding area- otherwise it is a leisurely 20 minutes walk.) Feeding time: Between 9.00-10.00am and between 3.00-4.00 pm. Be patient. If there are plenty of fruits in the jungle the orangutan will not come out to be fed.

Fantastic experience and well worth a visit to Sepilok, Sandakan.
Great really enjoyed our day, saw orangutans and the sun bears! An experience of a lifetime! We had time to view the orangutans in the jungle and in the nursery.

Great viewing of semi-wild Orangutans
We went to the feeding time one morning and saw three Orangutans, including a 6 month old, who mostly clung to her mother. An older male was lurking nearby, but didn't come out while the visitors were there. The sanctuary rightly tries to limit human contact so only allow visitors a couple of hours 9-10 in the morning and the 2-3 in the afternoon. You can visit both time, but need to leave the reserve in between. We chose to spend the rest of our day in Kuching. The viewing of the feeding is from a platform about 20 m away, with multiple levels, so everyone could see well. It took about 30 minutes for the first Orangutans to show up, but still really fun to see them in the treetops and then descending to the feeding platform.

The good and the ugly
We had 6 hours to see the city highlights of Kuala Lumpur. We soon discovered that the Hop-on-hop-off option would provide only a passing glimpse of what we wanted to see. So for about 50MR more, we took a private guided tour in a taxi. This was a fine idea. Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful, clean, multi-cultured city with an interesting history. Highlights: The King's Palace, War Memorial, Butterfly Park and display, Orchid and Botanical gardens and particularly lunch at the Tourism Centre (a super buffet of local cuisine for 18MR pp). Disappointment: The public toilets at the King's Palace are a diabolical mess!

Helpful polite janitorial staff Beautiful butterfly garden
My first visit to changi int. Airport. I arrived with the Best Airport in the world in mind. Was not that impressed Cleanliness was lacking and seems over shadow the image as an iconic name in aviation. Maintenance also need attention. 5 stars for connections to metro and taxi services. Butterfly garden is super. Very quick baggage on belt.

Wonderful visit and saw 5 Orang Utans
Came here hoping to catch a sight of the Orang Utans in their natural habitat. We were lucky as the fruiting season in the jungle was just over. So the Orang Utans tend to come out looking for food. The center was well organised with ropes for the Orang Utan to swing onto a platform where fruits are left by the ranger for them. Platforms are also built for tourists to view the Orang Utans although these are further away at a slight distance. Do not expect this to be a zoo where you can come close to the Orang Utans. They are semi wild and for the protection of the tourists, we are not allowed to go too near them. We saw a baby Orang Utan and a pregnant female at the main viewing area. And subsequently when we got out of the jungle, we saw 3 more outside near the visitors area. There are around 30 Orang Utans in that area and we saw 5 Orang Utans that morning. Amazing to see them swinging in and how they manage to peel a coconut and crack it to drink and eat. Viewing times are between 9am to 10am and then 3pm to 4pm. So if you don’t see any in the morning, you can come back in the afternoon. It’s important to remember that this is not a zoo and you can’t expect to see the Orang Utans daily as the animals will appear based on their own schedule. The rangers will try and call them and if you are hungry or can’t find food in the jungle, they may come to the platform area. There is a small information center with souvenirs and you can also donate and adopt an Orang Utan (for USD50). Entrance fee is just USD2.50 for foreigners.

A nice place to enjoy your trip.
Lot of activities like cable car rides, theme parks, shopping malls, hotels, food courts etc. On the way up, you can visit Chin Swee Temple which was fantastic. Better check weather forecast before you visit there. Temperature around 15-25 Celsius,

Great trip
We had a great trip to the reserve, which was only half an hour outside the centre of kuching. David our tour guide was amazing, he explained all there was to know in our time with him about orangutans, other animals in the area as well as the surrounding forest. We were lucky to see an orangutan not long after we arrived, he was the dominant male "Ritchie". He fed for half an hour whilst we managed to take some cool photos of him and observe him in the wild. Great trip, great guide!

See no orangutans
It wasn't a good experience, we didn't see any orangutans, I suppose that it was because of the fruit season, but I don't know, so don't go when is fruit season because you will be as dissapointed as us.
