So much fun! Great way to spend a few hours of your time in Marrakech. Pick up and drop off was easy. We stopped for tea halfway through the ATV ride which was super nice!

Can’t fault this. Very professional and good sense of humor from the guys. Free pick up from my hotel also which was outside of the city so that was a nice gesture. Our guide also took some lovely photos. Top marks!

        AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH
The views from the top of the kasbah were breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the surrounding valleys and the Ounila River. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the kasbah’s role in history and its use as a filming location for many famous movies.

        Long day but worth it!
We booked this private tour for our group of 6. It was a very long drive - it took 4 hours each way. The weather at the start and end of the day was misty and wet. Our driver Yasin did a great job - he drove safely and skill fully along the winding route. We made stops along the route at panoramic points to take pictures. Yasin took some lovely group pictures for us. We stopped briefly at a women’s almond oil cooperative which we enjoyed. We then visited Ait ben Haddou where we met our guide Ali. It was a lovely visit and Ali was a great tour guide. We then stopped for some lunch at a very large very busy restaurant. Our next stop was the film studio where we joined a 45 minute tour run by the studio. We all enjoyed this. After a short visit to view a kasbah we were ready to go home! It was a very long day and Im glad the younger members of our family didn’t come on this tour as I think it would’ve been too long for them, however we enjoyed it and had a memorable day. The views were beautiful and both our driver and the guide in Ait ben Haddou did a great job.

        Corrupt military
The scenery and the info were great! I wasn’t told I would have to pay for a guide until I hit there and the guide that was supplied was doing and saying as little as possible! On the way there the military stopped our tour van 3x trying to make a dollar. And the second time they stopped us they forced me to pay them $50 for not wearing my seatbelt and if I didn’t pay they would give me a ticket! Overall great tour but there were some things outside of the tour that really tainted my visit

        Best experience ever!!
This was one of the best experiences of our trip. Riding quads through the Agafay Desert, with vast landscapes and the golden light of the setting sun, was incredible. The guide added so much to the experience with his local knowledge and fun attitude.

Our guide made sure everyone had a blast while staying safe. The ride itself was exhilarating, and the views over the vast desert were stunning. The peaceful, almost surreal ambiance of Agafay made this a unique experience

        Would recommend!
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic trip to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. Our driver Mohammed was great, very friendly and although it was a long drive (3+ hours) it didn’t feel that long as the views of the Atlas Mountains along the way are amazing and keep you entertained. There are also many places to stop along the way to take photos and buy souvenirs. Our guide Abdul in Ait Ben Haddou was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable having been born and raised there. The Atlas studios in Ouarzazate was interesting although if you’re not a film person then you might consider skipping this and spending more time in Ben Haddou. Overall I would definitely recommend this tour, it was one of the highlights of our time in Morocco!

I honestly was a little skeptical of this tour and I expected it to be pretty bad lol. Fortunately I was completely incorrect. It was super.

The tour guide’s name pronounced Jalil (sorry if I butchered) was well educated and knowledgeable. My tour felt completely customized to my background and what I wanted to see and hear. The guide was extremely passionate as he spoke and enlightened you with the history that flourished the city.

The day before my tour I had walked around for hours myself and I didn’t really like the city - I was ready to leave. Having seen the city in a completely different way, I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience I had. I highly recommend everyone to take this tour, and if I came back I would request him again.

We were expecting a couple to host us on this guided walk as per the description and premium price paid but it was a single guy. We didn’t do the herbalists shop nor local pastries. We did go to a juniper wood carving artisan which was good especially as there was no hard sell.

The positives? Zaid our guide was extremely courteous and very knowledgeable on the history of Essaouira and made our 3 hours with him very interesting. We did go to the fish market and had the most delicious fresh red snapper, shrimps and squid all cooked when we had chosen what we wanted.

Overall I would recommend this tour but if there is a change of guide/tour content please let your guests know what to expect.

It’s a great tour where we could enjoy the rich history of Essaouira and its’ hospitality. We learned about the Medina and Le Souk, ramparts and the Fishing Port, walked charming narrow streets of the Old town that breathe history, and made little stops to see symbols that reflect believes and values. The tour will satisfy and engage all your senses: smell of wood and workshop, taste of belly-filling seafood- here everything is a fresh ‘catch of the day’, sound of transcending gnawa music, and, finally, look of artistry that is seamlessly new and traditional. Here and there is an extra bonus- fluffy cats. Would love to come back to Essaouira one day❤️

We do our best to make this tour unique compared to the other local guided tours, you live like a local for 4 hours and more until you get tired haha, no shopping no fake shops visit, you only enjoy your time like a Moroccan, drink and eat like a Moroccan. Thank you for trusting our services and for the time spent leaving us such an encouraging review. We will always do our best to make our guests happy and satisfied with the best quality/price ratio in the market. Looking forward to seeing you again Among us

Ahmed our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his home town, we learned and were shown things we would not otherwise have discovered or found ourselves. This was very much being immersed into living like a local with the visit to the harbour for fish and it being cooked for us on a charcoal grill in the medina. This part is not for the faint hearted, and no cutlery is provided! The fish however was as fresh as you can get and cooked well. We also visited a thuja wood workshop which was very informative and returned to make a purchase. Any questions we had about local customs were answered though we did not receive the recommendations for eating out and shopping mentioned in other reviews.or sample any pastries or tea so perhaps tour's depend on guides preferences. Overall we were glad we experienced the to help orientate ourselves with this great town.

We had been before and we were keen to learn some History, our guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about the city. Well worth doing, things in the medina you just wouldn't notice on your own. Certainly lots of history. We choose not to have supper but you can go and to the fish market and pick what you want cooked in a local restaurant. The guide had a good sense of humour.

We did a walking/food tour of Essauoira with Ahmed. Excellent English and knowledge of the town and pointed us to restaurants and shops with no pressure to buy or go there. He bought cookies and we had mint tea. Then he chose fish for us in the market and had it grilled at a local Berber cafe, served with Moroccan bread and salad. Simple and delicious. My husband and I felt we got a taste of everyday life and insight into the Berber culture.

We didn't know what to expect, but what a unique experience we had with Abdeljalil (the unofficial mayor of Essouria). He knew everyone and provided us the insider's look at this beautiful city. We loved learning the history of Essouria and seeing some key sites (like the Game of Thrones gate). He took us into the fish market and chose a variety of fresh fish, vegetables and chicken. Then we went to a local grill and had it all cooked and served to us at a rooftop patio. By the end, we were well versed in how to get around, what to see, and tasted some of the best food Essouria has to offer.

We have been on many walking food tours with Viator and they have always been very good. It is a nice way to begin touring a city with a guide who gives you a mix of culture, history and, most importantly, a taste of a wide variety of the typical foods in locations frequented mainly by the locals. Typically, the guide has a definite plan, with reservations made in advance. Our 5pm tour was an Absolute Disaster! Mehdi Kassori had no plan and had no real interest in talking to us. We walked to the fresh fish market and he pointed to the fresh fish and asked if we wanted anything? There was nothing cooked. Later, after reading other reviews, I think we were supposed to pick out some fish and take it to a restaurant and have it cooked. He never suggested that. We passed a fruit vendor and asked what it was. The guide said it was a fig, but it was really a type of prickly pear. The only history we got was about the main gate. When I asked him about the significance of the 3 balls atop the minaret, he said he didn't know. I later learned there are several interpretations. As we went back inside the walls of the medina, he was constantly walking ahead of us and on the phone. As we walked along the main market street and passed all of the food stalls, he constantly asked us what we wanted to eat???? Typically the guide suggests various foods and explains them, etc. We finally stopped at a small food shop that had food behind a glass window. Again, without any explanation, he asked us what we wanted to eat. We finally had some soup and street food, but again, he was mostly on the phone and when we would ask a question, he would interrupt and answer his phone. Since 2 of our group had never been to Morocco or had Moroccan food, I finally asked him if we were going to have a tagline or cous cous which typically take advanced preparation. By now it was around 7:30. He said ok and we proceeded to walk down some narrow alleys to a local's restaurant, which is fine. They were closing. We went to 2-3 others which were also closing. Obviously he had no plan and had not made any advanced reservations. He said unfortunately, all the restaurants were closing (which was clearly not true) and his solution was to go the market and buy the ingredients for a taglne, take it to a local cook and make it which would only take a hour! At that point we told him we had had enough and we left him with the chicken and vegetables. Mehdi should not be allowed to give another food tour until he submits a plan to Viator. I'm sure that any other guide would have done a typically good job, so don't skip this tour, I'm sure it will be good. Just make sure you don't get Mehdi!

Richard, We would like to address your review, which does not accurately reflect the facts of your experience. You requested a refund twice, and we declined it both times for valid reasons. First, you mentioned difficulties walking in the city due to your age, which is beyond our control. Second, despite several suggestions made by our guide to stop and enjoy local food, you refused all offers. You escalated this matter to TripAdvisor, and we again denied your refund due to the dishonesty in your claims. Now, it seems you are trying to blackmail us by leaving two negative reviews—one on Viator and one on TripAdvisor—which is both malicious and dishonest. If you had informed us at the beginning of the tour, without this capricious behavior, we would have been more than happy to cancel the trip and offer you a refund. However, attempting to deceive and dupe us is something we will not tolerate. All our previous guests have been highly satisfied with our services, and we consistently receive 5-star reviews. We have never encountered an issue like this until your attempt to mislead and harm us. We take great pride in providing exceptional experiences to our guests, and we stand by the quality of our services.
