WARNING! If you're like me, you've wanted to experience dolphins in Musandam ever since you heard this was a thing. After some research, you discover that Dolphin Khasab Tours is one of the leaders in this field. You click on their website and you find three options: the Half Day, the Full Day, and the Overnight. After reading each option in detail, there's one clear winner - the Overnight. Not only does this option offer 22 hrs of excellence (compared to the 3.5 hrs of the Half and the 6 hrs of the Full), but you also get to sleep on the boat, experience bioluminescence, and visit many more locations. You then read their Terms and Conditions webpage, and everything checks out. As you book non refundable hotels before and after this Overnight experience, you finally go to book this highlight. But wait, there's a problem. The website auto populates the Quantity to 4, and here lies the issue. You're just two - you and your girlfriend. You whatsapp the company and ask them what's going on. Do you receive a professional respectful response? No. Unfortunately the response you receive is a typical one. One where they don't accept the fact there's an error or they've misled customers by not publishing this key information on the web pages of the tour and the Terms and Conditions. That you need a minimum of 4 people to experience this Overnight tour. I'm not certain what disappointed me more, this key fact missing or the disrespectful way they treated me when explaining the situation. Dolphin Khasab Tours, please update your website to not mislead customers, and please educate your reps to not mistreat potential customers.

This was an amazing morning spent out at sea. From my driver Ahmad collecting me on time, getting me to the departure point and then once I got onto the dhow the captain Mohammed and his sailing mate were really friendly and I had the dhow to myself (there was another booking but they didn’t make it) I thought with one person they would cancel but they didn’t. The whole half day tour was amazing. There were loads of dolphins who swam right up by the boat and the crew were really knowledgeable about the area. The crew provided me with fresh fruit and soft drinks as and when I wanted. I would totally recommend this to anyone coming to Musandam.

The captain was so kind. He explained the process well and showed us nice scenery as well as the dolphin family. My mom was satisfied. Thank you.

The dhow was great and we saw the dolphins. I made to this company a link payment for the amount of money they requested. Their website got stuck and never sent to my email any confirmation. They had a problem with their bank to receive the money so they made me pay again on my arrival to Khassab by credit card. Now, they received the link payment amount from their bank and they are not proceeding with the reimbursement. Meaning I've paid double. They don't even answer the phone. Be careful with them!

I had great fun with my boys. I highly recommend you take private dhow experience. It’s worth it and much more private.

Brilliant 6 hr trip to dolphin watch, swim and snorkel off a dhow through the beautiful fjords of Khasab. We were picked up on time from cruise port with our names on a card held by Dolphin Tour staff and dropped back at cruise port on time so no panic about missing ship! Dhow was great - lovely helpful crew and not crowded. Facilities onboard included nice clean toilet with sink, fresh water hose/shower for rinsing off after swim and towels. We brought our own snorkels as they aren’t provided. We had an excellent lunch onboard and were given a plentiful supply of soft drinks, water and fresh fruit. We saw lots of colourful fish and had two opportunities to swim and snorkel. We also saw and followed lots of dolphins on several occasions and got some excellent photos/video shots. I did this trip with my son and we thoroughly recommend this trip - definitely the highlight of our week’s cruise.

The tour was unique. We saw an incredible number of dolphins. The tour was very well organised. There were plenty of cool drinks and fruit. A very nice day. 😊

Best tour in Musandam to watch Dolphins. From initial contact to timeliness of pick up everything is very well organized. We were the only ones in the big boat but they did not cancel. We were treated like a royalty and dolphins made our day a memorable one. Food was basic but adequate.

It is very difficult to cross the border from the UAE. We were turned away on the day we drove from Dubai for the tour. The operator refused to refund or even offer the tickets to be transferred to our friends who live in Dubai. It is a risk pre-booking with this arrangement. Especially with this inflexible tour company. They are also very difficult to contact when you are there. There are plenty of providers. You are probably best just choosing one to go on when you arrive. I was very disappointed by the lack of empathy and inflexibility due to our situation.

I booked this 3 hr half day tour as it was so well reviewed. We were in Khasab for one day off a cruise. Believe me, there is NOTHING to do in Khasab other than a tour outside of it! We saw plenty of dolphins, we swam in the sea and the weather was perfect. The guys who run the tour are first class. Very attentive, get plenty of soft drinks, fruit and tea or coffee. Best 3 hrs we invested in during our 7 day cruise.

A great day from start to finish! We arrived at the tour office just before 9am, had a friendly welcome and sorted payment quickly. We were on the boat and setting off by 9.20am. The tour guide & captain were incredibly helpful, from carrying the boys to the boat, to being friendly, helpful, informative and safety conscious. They were amazing with our 3.5yr old and 1.5yr old, and our friends 2 boys the same age. The captain let the. boys have a go at steering the boat which they loved, the guide was super friendly with the boys, cutting up fruit for them and offering them juice. We were lucky enough to what seemed like an endless supply of dolphins. It was Great! We would highly recommend the tour and can't fault the experience at all. Thanks again.

Very organised company from booking to the end. We took a full day tour and we don’t regret. Boat is very clean and the captain and his mate welcome us, very polite, they explained us our tour. They know the right spot to see dolphins and place to snorkelling. They provide clean towels. It was little buffet and all very fresh and clean incl soft drinks/water. Thanks to Mansour from the crew who explain what we saw and be able to see many dolphins today . These 2 guys were amazing and thanks a lot for your happiness and good work highly appreciated. The pod of wild dolphins swimming along our boat trying to entertain us😊😊😊. The snorkeling experience was also good. Despite extremely hot June weather, the sea was pleasant.

We were picked up in the morning at the hotel and taken by a strong English speaking host to the pier. He guided us to our dhow, where my husband and I realized that we would have the full day cruise to ourselves! Having spoken to another tourist the day before, and landing during a busy weekend, we thought we'd be on a boat with 20 or more other passengers, but in fact, it was just the two of us. And was it LOVELY! The captain and first mate tended to our every need, frequently offering us information about what we were seeing, soda and/or water, and then a lovely lunch of multiple hot foods for our enjoyment. The dhow is completed shaded and provided a welcome respite from the high temps we had been experiencing in UAE and Oman. The snorkeling and dolphin sightings were just superb. We were in such good hands! When the dolphins allowed us to see them and then ride up along the boat - well, it was really the thrill of a lifetime. We were a little unsure about what we had signed up for in anticipation, but the next time, we would even spend the night on the dhow out under the starts. simply superb! Thank you!!
