- 973monat0 contributionsWell worth it! An amazing experience. We did a private tour and couldn’t have been happier. We were able to access less traveled places, ask lots of questions, and the scenery on this sunny day was unbelievable. Our guide, Samuel, was an excellent host and shared so much of his own lived experience. We had no regrets on the extra cost for a private tour. We would do it again.Written 1 February 2025

- lostinperuland0 contributionsGreat tour and tour companyThe islands were stunning. Samuel, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Coordination with Hugo in the office were efficient and understanding when we had to alter plans. Will book again on future visits!Written 9 January 2025
- cindylS2110DO0 contributionsLake Titicaca tour cut short because the undisclosed partnership with a bad tour company. My tour guide Miguel is excellent. However, the TripAdvisor partner with Lake travel agency and put me on a boat is very small. The tour guide Juan Carlos from Inka lake travel agency is very not professional. He rushed us and cutting off the main show for today, which to watch the man waving. Basically we took 3+ hours boat ride to get to the Taquile island just to have lunch. Juan rushed us out with excuses that the man who supposed to show the waving was drunk last night. We asked us to get to the boat saying the weather MIGHT get bad, which it didn’t. I have been a trip advisor customer for many years. I need an explanation on this. Juan Carlos is a horrible tour guide. He refused to give me his name. If TripAdvisor can not guarantee to partner with a reputable company, then we have to look somewhere else.Written 4 January 2025
- Sam Y0 contributionsOne-day tour with 3 Lake Titicaca islandsThe tour got a chance to visit three islands in one day, and enjoy your own boat during the whole ride. We (2 people) attended this tour with a 32-seat boat. Also, the guide Samuel is knowledgeable about all three islands since he was born and raised at one of them.Written 29 December 2024
- Tourist634153492920 contributionsExcellent experience - UROS and Tequile all day tourWe traveled with our family of 8 people. We did the speed boat with a private guide. Our guide, Samuel, was excellent. He did a great job explaining all the historical things and answering all our questions. Lunch was included in this tour, and he accommodated a great vegetarian lunch, with a stunning view of the lake.Written 27 December 2024
- matthewaC3931ZB0 contributionsGreat tour of Lake Titicaca sitesI had an excellent tour of Uros and Taquile Island. The guides were great and the boat ride was very comfortable. I learned a lot about both locations.Written 16 December 2024
- bradwago0 contributionsResponsive and HelpfulI booked one tour with the company, which is reviewed separately. They were very responsive and helpful with questions related to that specific tour and other issues I had questions about. I would book with them again if I were to returnWritten 15 December 2024
- shivav2490 contributionsExtraordinary trip experienceAmazing guide and very friendly who understood what we needed and did an amazing job in getting us around. Veggie meal arrangements were extraordinaryWritten 14 December 2024
- Felipe E D0 contributionsTequile and any other islandThe boat "speed" is not much. The Uros experience feels a bit disrespectful, but the Taquile island is great, perhaps spending more time and doing something more than juat eating coukd be good. Maybe visiting another island as well can be good.Written 14 December 2024
- D7582AK_0 contributionsWonderful tripThe guides are professional. The sites are amazing. The local people are friendly. The weather is unpredictable though.Written 12 December 2024
- Sightseer7293460 contributionsOn time, professional and considerate.Everything with this day tour was managed in a professional and considerate way. Samuel explained the area and culture very well and was prepared to do the extra mile to make it a memorable experience.Written 12 December 2024
- bradwago0 contributionsGreat Tour Great GuideOne of our best experiences while in Peru. We were met timely at our hotel and guided to a bus. Once at the port we were met by Samuel, our Inka Lake guide. He was super attentive and helpful, explaining the unique cultures of Uros and Taquile. We had a great lunch on Taquile, during which (among many other unique cultural traditions) Samuel shared the interesting meaning behind the various hats worn by the island residents. Be aware that the climb to the top of the island, where lunch was provided was strenuous given the altitude. We’re in our 70s and we survived. Younger people seemed to handle it better. Bring water.Written 6 December 2024

I almost hesitate to write a review, because part of the magic of this tour was the fact that we were the only tourists for miles (and miles) around. Despite some initial concerns (the trip wasn't reviewed by anyone else; I had to have a little bit of extra back and forth via email getting everything squared away; and we were told after we had landed in Peru that we needed some things I didn't have on hand - like a towel and a small bag for the overnight stay, although that ended up not being an issue at all) the trip turned out to be a very close second to our Machu Picchu experience. Our driver Hugo and guide Samuel were absolutely wonderful - very patient with our extremely limited Spanish, and perfectly navigated the line between providing us lots information and letting us soak it all in quietly. We made two stops on the way down to Anapia, both of which were beautiful in their own way, with no pressure to buy gifts from vendors. Then we took a motor boat out to the island and met our lovely host couple. They were incredibly gracious - showing us around the island, feeding us plenty of good food (make sure you come hungry for the first lunch!), and asking us to do a little help with their garden and fruit trees. (We would have been happy to help out more given everything they did for us.) The stars were phenomenal with no light pollution to speak of. My only regret was that we couldn't communicate better with our host family directly. It's nice if you bring a gift to offer the family - we brought a postcard of our home town and a small bottle of homemade maple syrup. The next day we got to sail for an hour or so to Yuspique, which was so much fun (my husband and I met sailing and we try to get out out on a boat every trip we take - in fact this feature was how I first stumbled across this tour) and then hike the island, before a picnic lunch with a pack of wild Vacuñas nearby. After we took the same motor boat back to the mainland and then a 3 hour drive back to Puno. They took us directly to our hotel, which I didn't expect and was grateful for. I will say: this trip is not for everybody; you have to be willing to get out of your tourist comfort zone (which is the point, I think) and be ready to rough it just a a little (we took an overnight bus to Puno and then did not use their shower, so were a little greasy/stinky by the end). Plan to use the bathroom when you can and bring plenty of water - I ran out of water for day 2 (though we stopped at a store the night before and if I had thought of it then, I could have purchased some) and it was hot when the sun was out. That being said, when I asked for a bathroom on the way down and a stop to get water on the way back, Hugo made it happen quickly, so really you just need to speak up if you need anything.
