          Raw & Awesome
No gimmicks, just straight fun to perhaps the best underwater snorkeling visuals I have ever seen, who knew snorkeling in the Philippines was do good, I didn't. First off, my driver/guide was Simar, a great guy. Took me to the boat, three people working the boat took me to the first island, handed me my mask/snorkeling and I jumped in. Wow, the most fish ever surrounded me including big green beautiful Parrotfish. Snorkeling at the second island was just a wonderful. The third island is white sandy beach and relax before lunch. It was a great day. This tour is not fancy, the boat is not modern, in fact a piece of the bamboo support came loose during a wavy ride back but all was good, just seemed all like the Philippino way; raw but fun.

Exciting whale sharks and sardine run under crystal clear water in Cebu
Early pick up from Hotel, 330am on 7th Dec to Oslob for whale sharks viewing and we have priority access to boat due to senior status. Nice and helpful boatmen who help to care for us and did video on the encounter with sharks. Tamalog falls is not so great and water not clear but the bike to and fro the falls was exciting, faster to reach the falls. They charged 50 peso for return but safety was compromised as no helmets provided. After early lunch provided around 1030h, we travelled to Moalboal for our trip to Pescador island for snorkeling for corals, fishes, sea horses and star fishes. Then headed for beachfront to view sardines run and turtle near shore.

We would like to thank you for a great service. We all like to commend our TG Jonathan and our driver Cesar. You really assigned us good people. Jonathan is very well knowlegeable of not only the places we went to but the history of Cebu and the country as well. He made the trip worthwhile. He made our moods light as well as our spirits high esp during traffic. Thank you so much Jonathan. Great job!!! As for Cesar, he took good care of us by his driving prowess. He really knows the ins and outs and very familiar with routes esp when there is traffic. He is very polite and he assisted us so well. Thank you so much Cesar. You both have good corrdination, too. Kudos! We did overtime in this trip because of traffic as well. But we all enjoyed and House of Lechon's awesome. Thank you all once again and we will keep you in mind when Cebu pops out.

          Unfortunately a disappointment
As someone already said, I wish I have done better job at reading all of the reviews before booking and not just relying on this company being number one in the area. Few things were an unpleasant surprise. Firstly, booked this as a solo traveller. The cost is significant for what it was. First shock was finding a boat to be huge for carrying just one customer. I shared same boat with 20 other people on other tours. It was very loud and went extremely slow. When I asked why was the boat running so slow, the answer was it was running on one engine. I imagine to save fuel costs. It was painful. For islands so close it took half hour to make it to each. This is my week three in various areas of Philippines and those boats go much much faster usually. A second big disappointment was learning on arrival that tide was very low. This meant lesser quality of experience at each of the three stops. First one, had significant sea grass floating on the surface of the water, and despite having a lot of fish to see, having grass stuck in your face, body and hair was terrible. Second stop had absolutely nothing to do but snorkel close to the end of jetty in a very small and shallow fenced off area. Great for children and people with little experience, but was a bit of a waste for me. I was happy to move on. A third stop could have been skipped all together. I was not going to purchase sea food, nor could I swim there at all, as tide was still super low. So after sitting in the heat for half hour I was glad to head back to shore. Being private tour, with no time restrictions on my end, I would have expected an experienced tour operator to suggest later departure in alignment with tide times, to ensure a better client experience. But no one cares. Additionally, contracting a more compact boat for small groups is a better environmental choice, and would prevent wasting a lot of time on crawling your way to the islands. I had very little interaction with my guide after the first few minutes. He largely left me to fend for myself while he sat in the back of the boat with the crew. The crew did not engage at all. Having done other private tours in this country, this one was by far most awkward. Please take time to consider your choices.

Will definitely book with them again
Our experience with them from inquiring till end of our stay in Cebu was outstanding. Day 1 airport pick up to airbnb. Bobby was our driver. Very friendly and very engaging. He is not shy to have small talk which turns into a very long story telling about Cebu. We learned a lot about Cebu from him within a very short ride to our airbnb Day 2 PRIVATE: Oslob Whale Shark Snorkeling + Pescador Island with Sardines & Turtle Driver: Allan - same as Bobby, friendly and not shy to engage in conversation Tour guide : Glaize - very nice person. Very patient. Me and my sister bombarded her with silly questions yet she always answer each and every question with a smile. Whale shark snorkleing: one of a kind experience. The boatmen where nice even helped us taking photos and videos under water Pescador island: outstanding experience. Saw a lot of sardines and had experience upclosed encounter with a turtle. The boatmen were very nice to look for the turtles immediately after we dropped off the water and they took me to places were a lot of coral reefs Day 2 Charter service within the city Driver i think his name was Jomz. He is okay. Day 3 Private: Bohol Countryside Day Tour with Loboc River Cruise from Cebu w/ Tour guide Bohol guide: Noel and outstanding guide. He has a lot of input to each and every locations we went to Floating restaurant: really goood foood!!! And unique experience Chocolate hills: i loved the ATV while looking at chocolate hills just bring cash so you can do the ATV. Bohol is a very nice place I suggest to spend time rather a day tour. Day 4 Bantayan Island Day Tour with Virgin Island Hopping Tour guide: Not that impressed with him. We liked the tricycle driver more, he acted more of a tour guide. Day 5 charter service going uphill. Driver:i think his name is Abam. His approach is very professional but still we felt very friendly with him Day 6 airpot drop off. The driver was Ricard. My mom didnt like the driver he didn’t even try to initiate helping with our luggages. Good thing the security guards where we stay at helped with the luggages. Overall their service was outstanding their team were superb except Richard and the tour guide in Bantayan Island.

Excellent coverage of the points of interest in Cebu
We thoroughly enjoyed the private tour of Cebu's highlights on Nov 18, 2024. Our guide and driver Wilson agreed for us to curate the original itinerary, which enabled us to spend more time at the places which really interested us, such as The Tops lookout and the Yap Sandiego ancestral house. This resulted in a more personalised and memorable experience.

          Must have whale shark experience
The whale sharks and turtles were a blast to swim with. Both my guide (Jayr) and driver (Raffy) were great and very friendly. Highly recommended.

A long day but so so worth
This ended up being a private tour. The price was high, about 2x what I could have paid if I'd booked it after arriving in Cebu, but I think it was 100% worth it. I was happy to have the security of a plan, the guides I had were incredible, and I had private transport to and from Moalboal (which was especially wonderful at the end of the day when I was beat). This experience was overall magical. The whale sharks were majestic and the canyoneering was so much fun (though MUCH harder and longer than I anticipated... more on that below). An overview, with some details to help you enjoy your experience: Whale Sharks: 1. They provided me with 2 (thin) towels, which was really nice. I do wish I'd brought a sarong or some kind of wrap though. 2. Upon arrival in Oslob at the Whale Shark Facility: you'll meet your guide and they'll check you in, get your group number (like at the DMV), and you'll watch a quick safety presentation. Note you can't wear any lotions, sunscreens, etc. while you're in the water with the whale sharks. After that, my guide took me back up the street to a little restaurant where I had a delicious light breakfast (see photo). By the time I finished eating, we went back to the Whale Shark facility and it was pretty much time for me to get in the boat. 3. Lifejackets are required while you're on the boat heading to the whale shark area, but not once you're in the water. They have masks on the boat - but I wish I had asked for a snorkel. Or, even better, bring your own. If you have free diving experience, you might even want to bring your own fins. 4. I was solo, and had been told that the workers on the boat would help me with photos but that didn't happen. Once you get out there, there's no signal really, you can just get in the water. Most people on my boat actually didn't get in to the water, which surprised me. I spent nearly 30 minutes, with whale sharks coming within 2 feet of me! It was really hard to get a nice selfie with them, so if you're solo maybe try to find a buddy? I also wish I'd brought a gopro instead of just my phone in a waterproof bag. I got ok quality pics/videos but I know it could have been better. 5. You can rinse off after, then we went back to the same little restaurant for a very early lunch. Note that this was in the back of a lorry, instead of in the car. It made for a little bit more adventure. :) Lunch was SO MUCH food, and all of it was delicious (see photo). The chicken adobo, soup, and sesame noodles were lovely. It broke my heart to see all the dogs around, begging for food. If you're a sucker like I am, you might end up feeding them. Sandbar 6. After lunch, the guide will walk you over to the "port" for the boats that take you out to the sandbar. To be honest, I could have skipped this whole part. It didn't add much, and I only ended up spending about 30 minutes out there. It was nice to have a chance to buy a beer and a snack from the shop, and I enjoyed my beer in the water. But we left whenever I was ready. 7. At this point, we left the guide to drive about an hour back north to the starting point for the Kawasan Canyoneering. I wish I'd rinsed more before that drive. Canyoneering 8. When you get out of the car, that's the last you'll see of your stuff so really think about what you might want to bring with you on the canyoneering (though you have to carry everything you bring). I wore a sunshirt and some swim shorts over my swimsuit. To be honest, I wish I'd worn something longer on my legs because I had TERRIBLE chafing at the end of the day. The life vest you have to wear has straps that hang between your legs and they chafed me badly. I brought Keens, which were good but I kinda wished I had some ankle support. I think they'll provide water shoes if you don't have any. I was glad to have my phone in a waterproof pouch - but make sure your phone is fully charged! I was at 30% and ended up having to conserve photos and videos. I also wish I'd brought some cash for some of the shops along the way. 9. Expect to ride up to the start on the back of a motorbike. It was a driver, my canyon guide, and then me all on one bike. lol. 10. You'll be given an "option" at this point to either walk 2k to the start or pay another 600 pesos to take the zipline. You can pay for the zipline later if you forgot cash, like I did. You'll want to do the zipline, unless you're really afraid of heights. It went much slower than I expected, and was super fun. 11. The canyoneering is tough - a great mix of floating, jumping, rock climbing, wading, and hiking. There will be rocks under the water where you least expect them. But it's a beautiful landscape, and my guide was really helpful holding my hand where I was unsteady and taking about 5 million pictures/videos of me. 12. Overall, it did take about 3 hours and we covered about 5 kilometers. I was BEAT at the end. There wasn't a place to shower but I did change out of my wet clothes (bring a plastic bag to store them in). Then the driver met me and brought me back to my hotel. TL;DR: I'm guessing there's not much difference in the experience you'll get from different guide groups/tours online. If you're cost sensitive, you can book once you arrive in Cebu/Moalboal. Be clear about what food/shower access you'll have with your guide operator. Skip the sandbar unless you're really into it. It's a LONG day, but so worth it.

Amazing island hopping experience with Abam
We took the island hopping tour in Cebu. Abam was amazing he picked us up from our resort and accompanied us on the boat, as well as snorkeling. The experience was amazing! We saw so many fishes and wild sea life. Lunch was included with the tour so we enjoyed that in the boat by one of the islands. And in the end we were dropped off back at our resort. Abam was very attentive, helped us take a lot of photos and taught us a lot!

          Disappointing city tour
I booked a city tour of Cebu for $120. A driver picked me up and took me from place to place like a chauffeur- no dialogue, no commentary— nothing! It turns out that they make you pay EXTRA to have an actual tour guide! This was cleverly disguised in the tour inclusions- you have to scroll down to notice that. I’ve traveled the world, been to 94 countries, and have never heard of a tour where the guide is an extra cost. Why not build it into the tour cost to avoid misunderstandings and dissatisfaction? On top of that, I have to say that Cebu and its sights are rather unappealing and unimpressive. Best stick to the islands and beaches which are what people really come here for.

Definitely the highlight of our trip to Cebu. Our family was picked up promptly at 3:30 am from our hotel in Mactan by Miko. Very comfortable drive to Oslob in a new air-conditioned van. After breakfast, we met up with Cheryl, our guide, who was so nice and attentive. She took care of all our things while we were swimming. Lined up for less than 15 minutes because Cebu Tours have guides who have already been holding a place for their tour guests earlier in the day. Orientation, then another 10 minutes waiting to board our boat. The sight of the majestic butandings and swimming so close to them is an experience I will never forget. The boatmen feed them just as they tell you to go under the water so you are guaranteed a really close encounter. To me the time they give you to snorkel is just right.

Next was a boat ride to Sumilon Island sandbar. Absolutely gorgeous island, can take lots of instagrammable pics. Then off to Tumalog Falls, where the car takes you up the mountain then you have to get on the back of a motorcycle (50 pesos pp extra) for a short but harrowing drive to the falls. So sad to see the falls being just a trickle and the water level in the pool down below so shallow. Nothing like the beautiful pictures you see online. After that, we were served a delicious lunch of adobo, chicken soup, chop suey and rice. If you don't like Filipino food you can order off their menu and pay extra. After lunch we said goodbye to Cheryl then boarded the car for an almost 2 hour drive to Kawasan Falls. There we were met by another guide, Brian, who led us on an easy 20 minute hike to the falls. The falls was beautiful and it was so refreshing to swim in the cool water. Then we drove back to Cebu and got back to our hotel by 7 pm.

Cebu Tours and especially Miko and Cheryl did an amazing job. Note this is a PRIVATE tour with just your group and you have private guides with breakfast and lunch included so I thought the price was very reasonable considering you get to see four must-see sights in one trip! If like us you have had the butandings in your bucket list for a long time and only have a few days in Cebu, don't hesitate to book this tour. 100% recommend, and we plan on coming back in the future to do the Kawasan Falls canyoneering tour! Thank you to Miko, Cheryl and Cebu Tours for an amazing day!

An amazing experience. It was a very long day, 3.30am pick-up and then a 2hr+ hectic drive to Oslob. Long queues to buy whale shark tickets, but we got our tickets and then had time for our breakfast, that was basic but tasty. The WHALE shark experience was absolutely out of this world. After a boat trip to Sumilon Sandbar (wasn't too impressed with this, way too many people on a tiny white beach), we visited the 1st of the 2 waterfalls. Tumalog was a very steep walk down a road, but so so beautiful. We took a bike back up. The hill is so steep, you can easily fall over. Last was Kawasan Falls - we were totally unprepared for this bit. It was amazing, but you need to prepare. It was about a 5kms walk along/through the river/pools and over rocks. Make sure you have good water shoes that are easy to walk in. Take your possessions (few) in a waterproof bag and take water, also money as there are a few vendors along the way. We were shattered after the walk, but it was an amazing experience. Next was the very long 2hr+ drive back. I would recommend that you actually stay for a night or 2 in the area to fully utilize all the activities in this area.

Our tour guide JoyJoy made this experience everything. The whales were a sight to be seen. The boat you get on is small and I for sure would not recommend this for elderly or super heavy guests because getting in and out would be very difficult. Then we went to the sandbar, I think you could skip this part, it really is just a small cove you swim in and there are no fish to see unless you pay extra to go snorkeling in the coral reserve. And you have to have a guide tour with you to snorkel. Then we took a 15 min drive to Tumalog Falls which was the highlight of the entire experience, when you get there you can pay 50 pesos to get a ride on a motorbike down to the falls and they will bring you back up. I recommend you do this. The waterfall is huge with lots of picture opportunities. We skipped the other falls because we were exhausted and the drive to the whales took 3 hours from hotel.it was going to be an extra hour drive to the 2nd falls and we didn’t want to do that. Took 4 hours to get back from the excursion. Our driver Sammy was the best.

All of it was amazing. Thank you to Angelo and Pearl. The guide at Imbanakaan was amazing. She dived into the falls and shows you/helps you how to climb onto the rock. It is a long day but 100% worth it. What an experience. Very good value considering door to door drop off round trip is 7 hours driving, plus 4 activities included.

Went on this tour yesterday and it was something that will literally make your trip. The experience with the whale sharks is out of this world and kawasan falls is beautiful, I visited 4 years ago and it is sad to see how it has change since the super thyphoon but still lovely.

Richmond was our driver yesterday and credit to him, it was Easter Sunday and with Philippines being very religious the traffic was like nothing I had ever experienced and I live in London where traffic is the norm. Despite the long journey and early start it was worth while, during the drive Richmond kept us engaged, entertained and educated us on the Philippines which was insightful as well as crack a few jokes !

We didn’t book a private tour but it was and was perfect cause we could manage the time at each stop

        100% recommended

The island sand bar wasn’t worth a stop due to high tide and it not being visible, but overall don’t hesitate to book with this company and if you are lucky you will get Richmond !

Everything is not organized at the end the tour guide will just sent you somewhere with another tour guide. For the price of renting tools is not honest they get percentage for the things you pay and you need another tour guide to guide you in snorkeling and another charges again. They mention it’s 16hrs tour but it only lasted for 13.5 hours and out of the 13.5 hours - maybe 9 hours were dedicated for transportation. Only the way back to the hotel took us 4.5 hours. So in summary the tour only lasted for 4hrs the breakfast and lunch included too

Hi, thank you for your feedback. May I ask if under what name is the booking? Cuz the package you booked includes everything including the snorkeling that you mentioned, Oslob is very far from the city and that is specified in the itinerary as well that it will take time going there and getting back to the city. Please also note that we have our own tour guide, driver and transportation who will hands on our operation of tours. We do not get percentage on the rental of tools. Let us know the booking reference so I can trace the people who are with you on that day. You can send us a message here, please, thank you for your time, I appreciate it.

We had only one day to visit the highlights around Cebu so we decided to book an organized tour to make the most of our day. We booked this tour and currently Kawasan falls aren’t accessible by foot, so CebuTours proposed us to upgrade to Canyoneering in Kawasan falls since it was the only way to access the falls.
The daytrip was perfectly organized. The driver was on time and brought us around the whole day. We had early breakfast close to Oslob and our guide there brought us to the whale sharks. It was very fun swimming with the whalesharks and we were early enough to have very little tourists.
Aftwr we went to the island and the beach was very nice. We then visited the Tumalog fall and our guide was making sure we were on time. After lunch we headed for the kawasan falls and we had a private guide for the canyoneering. He was super nice, took a lot of pictures of us and we had so much fun doing it. I would really recommend to do Canyoneering to visit the kawasan falls, it’s much more fun and more interesting. The canyoneering was really the highlight of our trip in Philippines, so we are very happy to have decided to do it! It wasn’t dangerous, but you need to be careful to not slip in the wet rocks and not be scared of jumping.

We had an amazing day! Both the whalesharks and waterfalls was out of this world! Everything felt very organised and we felt very good taken care of throughout the day. The hike to the waterfalls was so much fun, we weren’t aware of that it would be that long to get there. However, doing the high jumps and swings and see all the other waterfalls on the way was so much fun. We could borrow watershoes, helmet and lifevest there and the bike ride to get to the start of the hike was so beautiful with stunning views. Big shoutout to our guide at the waterfalls: J.B! He took the role of photographer and made our group have much fun. Also having a private guide and driver throughout the day made the whole day feel so luxury. Best regards, Amanda & Danni

Favorite part was whale shark swimming. Could do without Sumilon Island portion. Kawasan falls is apparently very different than years ago due to typhoon damage. Tumalog falls were amazing. Make sure to start your day early because it takes 2-3 hours from Cebu just to get to Oslob then have to wait in line for whale shark tickets - it’s first come first serve. Bring water shoes because you will be walking on rocks in the water to and from boats.

We had a FANTASTIC time during the tour. We were picked up at the hotel and taken to the whale shark swim first. Our 1st tour guide, Paula, was lovely. She always had a smile and was very helpful and informative. The whale shark tour area is fairly chaotic and confusing, but fortunately we had Paula to guide us through it (there were some tourists there not in a tour group and they appeared lost, so definutely go in a tour group). Paula took us through the whole process seemlessly and watched over our bags while were were in the water swimming with these wonderful animals! After the swim we went to a beautiful island with fantastic views and crystal clear water. The tour included meals and Paula insured that we were well fed and taken care of. If you are thinking about taking the tour make sure you request her! After the whale sharks and island we departed the are for Kawasan falls where we met our next guide, his name was Guiller. He took us to the motorbikes and we were off going up the mountain with wonderful sights. After the ride we had a little hike to the furst of several falls in the canyon, the water had an amazing turquoise color and was refreshing after the hike. We made our way down the canyon with wonderful views of waterfalls, cliff jumping, and Guillar taking photos of us. It was such a packed day of adventure and lifelong memories. I cant recommend this tour enough! You must give this a try when you visit Cebu!
