What to expect
  • This fantastic 2-day excursion around St Petersburg is perfect for anyone wishing to experience the wonders of this vibrant city and feel like a local. It includes both world-famous historic and cultural highlights a visitor shouldn’t miss and less celebrated attractions worth searching out. You will be driven to some of the city's major attractions and landmarks, accompanied by your guide, who will meet you when you board the bus at the pier, and narrate your tour. Start your day onboard cosy boat, exploring rivers and channels of the Northern Venice. Continue to the former residential Winter Palace of the Romanov rulers, today houses one of the world's most prestigious museums where the rooms rival the art within them. Your guided tour includes both the Winter Palace and the Hermitage display rooms, which house some of the museums more than three million art works, including works by DaVinci, Rafael, Rembrandt - to name a few. If nothing else, this is the must see place in St. Petersburg. Follow the main street of the city. The chief sights include the huge neoclassical Kazan Cathedral, the Art Nouveau Bookhouse, half a dozen 18th-century churches, a monument to Catherine the Great, an enormous 18th-century shopping mall, a mid-19th-century department store, the Russian National Library, the Anichkov Bridge with its horse statues, and the Singer House. Once an impressive showcase for an ambitious family business, Eliseev Emporium is without doubts a landmark of the city. The recently restored stunning interiors make Eliseevsky a must-see place. Visit the most Russian of all the Russian churches. Built on the site of the 1881 assassination (spilled blood) of Tsar Alexander II. It sports a fantastic ornate "Russian-style" exterior of traditional colorful onion domes, ceramic tiles and colored glazed bricks. Inside you will view large works of colorful mosaic of different religious themes. Next day we will take you to the suburbd of the city. Reminiscent of France's Versailles - rivalling it with its splendor - you are given access to its detailed Park and beautiful grounds. Having served as the Tsar's summer residence, its grounds are dotted with countless fountains (like the spraying Joke Fountain), monumental ensembles, and charming pavilions. Take a chance to see the beautiful subway, whose stations are often called the palaces of the Soviet Union. Finish your day with the local farmer market experience. It is the best way to feel the city, mixing with locals. Located in the downtown area, the market boast exotic atmosphere and beautiful architecture that make them worth visiting more for sightseeing than for shopping.

Dear Enrique, At the moment I do not see any booking with the name "Enrique" on recent English-speaking tours. We also never ever encountered any issues with the language level of any of our English-speaking guides. Are you sure the tour was booked with us? Could you please contact us and provide more details, so I could investigate this issue.

Baltic cruise adventure
We were offered this tour through “Vacations to go”. It was a lot more reasonable than the one offered on the ship (Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas) we were met by our tour guide , Valentina , she spoke very good English & was very thorough in explaining the history of the country and the different Czars that contributed to the building of this beautiful place. We visited all the sights that we were promised and it was done at a very easy pace. We were 16 total passengers & one man had a walker, so Valentina went out of her way to accommodate him & lessen his walking, without affecting the rest of the group. She was very flexible with shopping requests and lunch requests . She continually found us and drove us to clean bathrooms & free tea and Vodka tasting. We definitely got our money’s worth !
