About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 449railik0 contributionsAmazing day with an awesome guide! We had an absolutely fantastic private tour with Noble! From start to finish, he made the experience unforgettable with his warm nature and his sense of humour kept us entertained throughout the day. His deep knowledge of the history and culture made every stop so much more meaningful. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and engaged, making it feel like we were touring with a friend rather than just a guide. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate guide, Noble is the one! Highly recommend to everyone!Written 17 February 2025

- Cruiser485662496740 contributions5 of us who are in our 60's and 70's had an incredible experience exploring Haikou and Sanya.Xian Tour provided impressive service right from the start of our WhatsApp inquiry with Sophia. Both the tour guide and driver were knowledgeable and sincere and made great efforts to make our trip enjoyable. We also appreciate their caring attitude, as safety is important to us, given our senior age. Apart from introducing us to the cities' culture, history, and attractions, they also recommended fantastic food at affordable prices. Kudos to Harry ( the tour guide) and Qi ( the driver).Written 5 February 2025
- fontainel6650 contributionsCustom CXT 12-day China Tour in Xi’an, Zhangjiajie & HarbinTwo distinct summaries below: one detailing our experience with the CXT team, and the other capturing the overall China tour experience. In June 2024, our family of six planned a 12-day Christmas tour of China (Dec 25, 2024 – Jan 5, 2025) and sought Nancy's help at China Xian Tour (CXT). We selected three key destinations: Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, and Harbin. From the get-go, Nancy displayed outstanding professionalism, promptly providing a detailed itinerary covering our stay duration, accommodations, transportation (including domestic flights, train and private mini-bus services), and activities in each city. Her attention to detail and quick responses made the planning process effortless. She also shared valuable pre-departure materials covering travel tips in China, airports and train station checking-in processes, mobile and internet usage, and all destinations' weather forecasts. The thoughtfully crafted itinerary allowed us to fully enjoy the unique charms of Xi'an (historical landmarks and cultural exploration), Zhangjiajie (breathtaking natural landscapes, including the famous Avatar mountains), and Harbin (winter snow festivals and stunning ice sculptures). Thanks to Nancy’s meticulous planning, our tour ran smoothly. Before arriving at each location, she provided the contact details of our tour guides and drivers, ensuring we felt prepared and confident throughout our journey. A private mini bus was always ready at each location which greatly enhancing our comfort. To note, during a transit in Changsha, a family member lost his phone with essential travel details. Nancy quickly contacted the local driver, who retrieved and returned it before our next departure—showcasing the exceptional care of Nancy and the CXT team. Nancy’s dedication and expertise made our 12-day China holiday a resounding success. Her prompt communication, problem-solving skills, and personalised service left a lasting impression. We highly recommend Nancy and China Xian Tour to anyone planning a trip to China! Now for the tour experiences and adventures!! Xi’an: Xi’an was a city brimming with history, culture, and captivating attractions. Our guide, Noble, was not only highly knowledgeable and fluent in English, but also exceptionally warm and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. The Terracotta Warriors was an unforgettable experience, offering us a rare glimpse into the grandeur of an ancient dynasty. We also had a blast tandem biking along the city wall, taking in the views of this historic city. And as for the food - Xi’an’s culinary scene was truly a highlight. Every meal was a delightful adventure, from the vibrant street food we discovered at every corner of the city. Our centrally located accommodation, Holiday Inn Express Bell Tower, made travel, dining, and shopping incredibly convenient, and the hotel breakfast was abundant, offering a wide variety of options to start our day. Zhangjiajie: It is evident why Zhangjiajie is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the breathtaking natural scenery and unique mountain formations are truly one of a kind. Our guide was knowledgeable about the routes, leading us to quieter, scenic spots ideal for photography. However, their English proficiency was average, and they provided minimal cultural explanations, often requiring prompting and questions to share information. The two-day itinerary felt rushed, whereas a three-day tour would offer a more relaxed experience. Another area for improvement would be providing travellers with a clearer understanding of the walking requirements and the difficulty level of the hikes in advance. While our group was reasonably fit, there were moments when the steepness and terrain felt overwhelming. And whilst the Lanting Yaju Hotel was spacious and clean, the breakfast was disappointing, with mostly oily food options - it may not appeal to Western tastes. Harbin: Harbin’s renowned Ice and Snow Festival was truly spectacular, exceeding our expectations. These breathtaking displays showcased the artistry of world-class ice sculptors while reflecting the city’s rich Russian heritage and architectural charm. Our two-day tour was expertly guided by Flora, who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Her fluent English and deep understanding of key attractions greatly enriched our experience. She even introduced us to a popular Russian restaurant, adding a cultural highlight to our trip. We stayed at the Moden Hotel, centrally located with over a century of history. While the location was convenient, the experience fell short of expectations. The furnishings were of poor quality, with some items already broken, and with the surrounding area there was many disruptions late into the night. The bathroom was particularly disappointing - the cramped half metre shower, enclosed by a flimsy curtain, made movement challenging, and water flooded the floor after each use. The bed was excessively firm and uncomfortable, further detracting from the overall stay. What made the experience even more unsettling was the eerie, almost spooky atmosphere that lingered in each of the rooms, which our entire group felt. Overall, this hotel did not meet the standards of a four-star establishment, and our group recommends that CXT reconsider its inclusion in future itineraries.Written 5 February 2025

- londooner0 contributionsAmazing day in Xi’anNoble was an incredible tour guide and I had the best day. As I was solo and only had half a day, Noble customised the tour perfectly to what I wanted to see and we started with sunrise at the incredible city wall, followed by a stroll round the Muslim quarter and a fantastic guided trip around the Terracotta Army. Noble was full of interesting historical facts and gave me a great contextual overview of Xi’an and the Terracotta Army within wider Chinese history. I even felt like I got a local experience as we went to a neighbourhood bun and spicy soup place for breakfast! Thank you so much, I couldn’t have imagined a better time.Written 20 January 2025

- Minuscript0 contributionsBest tour experience ever (Guilin and Yunnan)China Xian Tour was a fantastic company to work with. We took an 11-day tour (Yunnan with an added three days to Guilin). Sophia the tour coordinator was transparent, responsive, and professional. The guides were all amazing, most were great with my two young kids. They went out of their way to ensure we had a good experience, including courier servicing a lost wallet—truly a class act. We traveled with my family, my dad, and my aunt, so we were across the board in terms of age, mobility, and need for flexibility. The vans were clean and the drivers were safe. I highly recommend using them as they are more affordable than some of the other tour companies but provide an equal level of service - while being transparent about what is included. Bring your send of adventure and book with China Xian Tour!Written 4 January 2025
- lisa v0 contributions9 day private guided tour Beijing/Xian/Guilin/YangshuoWe found China Xian Tours online and started a conversation with Kelly. We explained we needed a tour that included two of the big sites for first time travellers to China, this being the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. We wanted to add on a few more days somewhere so Kelly suggested Guilin. We were going to Shanghai doing our own thing but needed to still get there somehow. Kelly was always only a WhatsApp or phone call away. She always understood exactly what we were after. Our private tour included 3 nts Beijing 2 nts Xian 2 nights Guilin and 1 night in Yangshuo. Our time with our experienced and very personable tour guides was a magical experience. Thanks to Jack in Beijing, Sasha in Xian and Monica in Guilin. Kelly organised a seamless holiday with many memorable moments and highlights. We will be definitely be in touch with Kelly to book another adventure.Written 4 January 2025
- jaim2990 contributionsGreat tour and Great guide. This is a great experience to visit the terracotta museum and walk over the city wall. Our tour guide, Noble, is a great guy. He is very polite and knowledgeable. He is also fluent in English. As he is Xi’an born guide so he knows a lot about Xi’an history. The tour is not rush as it is private tour. We spent almost three hours in the museum to learn not only history but also how the terracotta warriors created. No hidden charge nor selling something we don’t want. We are very enjoy throughout the trip. It is highly recommendedWritten 2 January 2025
