We had a private tour of 3 people with Michael Ma. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who is considering to visit Xi'An and wanting to know more about the area and its history. Michael was accommodating and detail-oriented. He was energetic, well-versed and passionate about the history of Xi'An, Shaanxi. His command of English was great and also a good storyteller. We went through the museum in 4 and half hours without feeling bored. He knows how to take care of his clients, and looks attentively to take care of their needs. Thanks Michael.

We had a fantastic time in Xi’an and Michael’s vegan food tour was an absolute highlight! Being a vegan in China and not speaking mandarin can be tough but with this tour I was able to try so many local dishes. Michael took us to so many cool spots and hole-in-the-wall street food vendors that we would never have found on our own. We loved it and I would highly recommend this to everyone!

Michael was on time, professional and generous with his time, we went through the key exhibits and the background to each dynasty. He was knowlegeable and proficient in English. We went during the off peak season in November so it was a rather nice and leisurely pace with not too many people as we were there from 11.30 am to 2 pm. Pieces wise, having visited both locations of Shaanxi History Museum, I would rate the new Qin Han Museum as worth it to go from ease of booking, and getting tickets, a nice leisurely experience. But the number of national treasures pale in contrast to the first SHM, which would still have majority of the treasures. We were glad we went anyhow. If you are doing this for the first time definitely get a guide as it would be more focused.

Michael was a marvelous guide on this tour through Xi’an’s culinary world. As a long time resident of the city he provided insights on the city and the food I was eating. The food itself was delicious and included dishes like the pita bread lamb soup, soup dumplings, and the renowned Xi’an burger. I can highly recommend this tour to anybody who seeks to taste Xi’an’s signature food and an evening in great company.

Very informative tour, with an excellent range of Xi'an cuisine sampled throughout, in various sections of the city. I didn't spend a lot of time in Xi'an, but this gastronomic tour was definitely well worth it!

Amazing experience…I am from the United States and traveling alone, so finding people n sites to trust is not easy……. However, I am very grateful that I found Michael Chang who was very kind, knowledgeable and had many stories to tell of each of our locations. The food he took me to try was delicious and he went even further and out of his way to take me to a few city hot spots. I absolutely recommend you ask for Michael!

Fantastic food tour in Xian! We went to 5 different restaurants in Yongxingfang and the Muslim Quarter and I cannot say which was the best! Travelling around by tuk tuk was very fun! Michael was excellent, explained everything in detail and I learned a lot. Great food, great evening. Highly recommended!

We had the most amazing day with Addison as our guide visiting Xi’an’s Terracotta museum, having a unique 2000 year old traditional lunch, discovering the Old Wall, and exploring the Muslim Quarter and the Grand Mosque of Xi’an! Addison is so knowledgeable, kind, funny, experienced and professional during the whole tour. We recommend him to everyone because he is really excellent! I've done food tours in almost every major city in China, and I can say that this one ranks among the best. Our guide was super knowledgeable, warm and accommodating. We visited several places eating an array of excellent dishes, and there was always plenty of food. If you're in Xi'an don't hesitate to book this tour!

Our group decided to go for the food tour with Michael, and we had a fantastic experience. He introduced us to Xi'an flavours and history in a relaxed way allowing us to enjoy every second. This food tour was by far one of the best tours I've experienced! Michael, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. He introduced my teen sons and I to many amazing Xi'An dishes and delights. With my oldest son aspiring to be a future chef, it was the perfect opportunity for him. He gave every dish the thumbs up! We recommend everyone we know to contact Michael for a tour in Xi'an! This tour is TOP NOTCH. We feel lucky to have done it our first night in Xi'an. Our tour took us to 3 different areas (or maybe 4?) and included so much food! Michael is flexible and will customize the tour for you if there are particular places/things you want to see and eat. We ended our night at the famous Drum and Bell Towers. He helped us get a car back to our hotel. After the tour, Michael stayed in touch was incredibly helpful with recommendations for the rest of our trip. 5-star rating all the way! I'll tell all my friends visiting Xi'an to book with Michael.
