- P4367NTmargaretf0 contributionsVery happy we chose to do this and enjoyed our lesson!Wife and I had a really nice casual experience making soba. There was a mistaken double booking so we watched a family go before us; no big deal. The instruction was easy and the staff answered our questions with the help of google translate and our remedial Japanese. After, the noodles were cooked by them and served with broth, sides, and tempura. It was a nice hour spent from all of the shopping and such. And now I’d like to try to make more pasta (soba and other) at home!Written 8 October 2024
- Melinda C0 contributionsI don't think this cooking experience was for us. Much prefer a group cooking classThis fellow is an expert in making soba noodles, however we felt that perhaps this experience is better suited to the local person. We were late to the lesson, as I personally struggled with the directions of how to get to the class. This impacted on our experienceWritten 24 September 2024

The host (Taku) let me know in advanced that the time slot was too close to the previous other’s and asked if 5:00pm was fine.
When we got here we were greeted by Taku and we got started right away. Although the English parts were difficult to understand at times, there was a complete translation of his script and things were comprehended by the traveller hand gestures and nods.
Afterward we got to cut the soba and then eat the soba we made. There was a menu for add ons afterwards but otherwise everything was included with the meal.
Was a fun experience overall. As a seasoned traveller I liked it!

My family and I really enjoyed how to make soba here! We were taught by two chefs who we learned a lot from while having fun at the same time. At the end, they made us some delicious tempura and we got to try the soba that we made. Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this.

The soba noodle making experience was an educational, eye opening experience. The soba noodles they sell
In the store is not the same authentic soba noodles you make here. Also, it was delicious with the sauce and shrimp
