      Great family tour of Tokyo
We had an amazing experience with Fumiko as our tour guide in Tokyo! She thoughtfully planned a fantastic tour for our family, making sure that we saw all the major historical sites and provided us with insightful information along the way. Her deep knowledge of the city’s history truly enriched our experience. Fumiko also made traveling to each site incredibly easy, ensuring we felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide to show us around Tokyo. Highly recommend!

Guided walked tour with Suita Naomi
We just did a 4 hour walking tour with Suita Naomi. I must say it was well worth it. First of all we picked up our suca cards and then navigated the train system to the Sensoji temple Naomi explained all the history the oldest temple in Toyko. Lots of great pictures. Then onwards to Sumo and Japanese swords. My husband loves all that. So we went to the Samurai sword museum. Really is worth a visit if you like swords. We also visited the Japanese garden Kyu yasuda where we witness a wedding. All in all I loved it and Naomi gave us a lot of information to absorb. I would definitely do it again..

      Tokyo Experience
Sammy was amazing! He gave us a true insight into the history of a number of temples and shrines we visited. He showed us the beauty and tranquillity of the Hama-rikyu Gardens where we enjoyed a matcha tea. We had lunch with a view and visited the hustle and bustle of Shibuya. Sammy provided us with printed information about the sights we visited. Sammy also took the time to reach out to us before we arrived, to get a feel on what our interests were, so he could cater our tour for us. I must also say that Sammy took some amazing photos leaving us with memories of a beautiful introduction to Tokyo.

Masa San is an awesome tour guide!
We had the pleasure of having Masa san as our tour guide. He arrived already at the agreed upon meeting area, and greeted us warmly. Over the next four hours, Masa san taught us the history and culture of Tsukiji and Toyosu fish markets. Masa san, thank you for making our tour a memorable and enjoyable experience! Cynthia

      Absolutely great time.
We had a great time on our full day tour. Chizuko was a great host and made a wonderful plan to hit everything we wanted to see. Sadly on the day we arrived it was raining and made doing everything a challenge so on the fly she was able to help us find great indoor alternatives. On top of that we even went to a bunch of the outdoor spot when the rain was lighter. All in all a great experience.

Tokyo highlights - Imperial Palace, Fish Market, Rotation Sushi lunch, Takeshita Street.
Our guide Coco worked with us to create an itinerary that highlighted many of Tokyo’s top destinations. She was very professional, informative, warm and friendly. We particularly appreciated that she began communicating with us about tour options days before we arrived in Tokyo. Our tour with Coco was a great start to our stay in Tokyo.

      Awesome tour with Yuko Kishihara
We had Yuko Kishihara as our guide and she did a wonderful job. She took my mother in law to Osaka castle, Shitenno-ji and Umeda sky building. She was knowledgeable and patiently helped us with the Osaka amazing pass (which she recommended ahead of time). She also picked up and dropped off my MIL at her hotel. We highly recommend Yuko as a guide for anyone’s first time to Osaka! Thank you again for a great day.

      Great tour in Tokyo
Our guide Kahori was so great! We had a group of 5. Me, my wife, our 2 daughters (5 and 3) and my mother in law. Kahori was so patient with the kids and was flexible. On top of that she was extremely knowledge on Japanese culture and the Tokyo area. She even gave out girls a toy! I'd highly recommend this tour.

Excellent service and places to visit!
We had a wonderful time. This was one of our most favorite places to visit, just because it was absolutely beautiful. Our driver was Mai, and she gave us excellent service. She took us to all the hot spots and even got us into a tea room tasting at the gardens near the castle. She had water and umbrellas for us, too. She took excellent care of us and we enjoyed every stop!

Friendly knowledgeable guide kept us out of the rain!
Great tour by Roy, taking into consideration the rainy, foggy day. He adjusted our itinerary to suit and keep us out of the worst of the wet weather. His English is excellent and he continues to learn and fine tune his language skills and also his historical and factual knowledge base as well. He very kindly helped us search out stamps for postcards I wanted to send home and also gave us a crash course on taking trains and subways in Sapporo. We made it back to our hotel in Otaru tired but happy to have made our train connection. Great tour Roy and thank you again!! Highly recommend this tour.

An amazing and informative tour with Yuko
Yuko was amazing! She has a huge passion and love for her home town Hiroshima and was keen to share all her knowledge, making the entire trip informative and interesting. She immaculately planned the whole tour so we could experience the shrine at Miyajima during a high tide, followed by our favourite lunch in Japan - local Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki! The trip to the Peace Memorial Park and the Museum was a humbling experience yet Yuko made sure it was informative and engaging. She even taught us how to make our own Japanese origami which we could donate at the Children's Peace Monument!

Our tour guide was Kazo and he was very knowledgeable about the gion area. He came prepared and had pictures to show us of the geiko and maiko in case we didn't see any (but lucky we did see one!). You get to see lots for only an hour including Yasaka shrine, gion entire area, gion corner, Yasaka temple etc. Highly recommend.

When you have a great (English speaking) guide such as Suga Kyozo the time just flies. He was full of interesting and fun stories of the Kyoto area (Geisha area, temples etc) and detail on its history. Throughly recommend.

To the customers I guided in Gion, I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed the Gion Walk Tour with me. Your compliments are an honor greater than I deserve. "Ochaya" where "geisha" entertain guests have the rule that they don't accept the first- time customers easily. They had been an unknown world to me, too, until my husband held a big international conference of medicine in Kyoto and asked "Ichiriki " Geisha House to send maiko and geisha to entertain our VIP guests. Since that time, we are not the first-time customers any more. They welcome us whenever we go. This way I came to know the special world of Gion. What I told the customers of my Gion Tour was all what got in geisha houses and from talks with maiko and geisha. I`m very pleased if the Gion Tour long remains in your memory of Kyoto. Thank you very much to you all !! Guide Etsuko Hirasawa

I was inspired by the earlier reviews to take up this tour. We were a group of 2 families with Koji san.

Koji san was kind enough to respond on emails about locations ,etc. He is a retired history teacher and also gave us a good insight into Japanese history.

Nothing great in the tour that one can right about, I feel he could make the trip more interesting with insights and stories as has been expressed by others in their review with different guides.

Kaeko gave us an excellent tour through the Gion neighborhood. We got so much more out of the experience and learned many things we would not have on our own. Kaeko was accommodating and knowledgeable. She even ended adjusted the tour so we would finish at the doorstep of the restaurant where we had dinner reservations. Special bonus we were lucky enough to see Maiko and Geiko on the tour.

Very personal insight into life in Gion and Japanese culture.

From the Giesha and the temples you see both side of the tracks.

Arrived early in the rain, didn’t wait long and our guide arrived “Yasuko”. A wealth of knowledge about the area, the history, knew all the back lanes, explained all the markers over the doors, the differences between the tea house, the boarding house the school and the theatre.
During the tour we saw about ten Miako and a couple of Giako as we weaved our way around the narrow streets and temples.

An absolutely brilliant way to end out time in Japan, thank you Yasuko for a great time.

We were fortunate to have Kaeko-san as our guide. Apart from being knowledgeable, she was extremely patient and attentive to our needs. As we had a young child and a pram with us, Kaeko-san was always quick to ensure that our pram would be able to move along smoothly along the paths of Gion. An informative tour that was made even more enjoyable was the presence of a good guide who not only shared with us her knowledge but also ensured that we were well taken care of in the one hour tour.

When I booked the tour, i didn't know it was a personal tour just for our family of 3. That proved to be great value for money.
K Suga, our guide was waiting for us with my name board at the meeting point. His English was excellent and the fact that he was born and raised in Gion was great as he knew all about the the place and could answer all the questions that we had. The 1 hour tour was very informative about the history and the quirks of Gion and got good recommendations on the shops to buy the things we were looking for. There is a bit of walking involved, but nothing most people can't handle. We had our 6 year old daughter with us, she never once complained.
I highly recommend taking this tour before going out and exploring the place on your own armed with the knowledge of what you are seeking.
