          Interesting full day tour
Hisato planned a custom day for the four of us based on our interests. We highly recommend her. The highlights of our full day included walking on a suspension bridge used by locals and the visit to the wasabi farm where we purchased tasty food items - including wasabi ice cream. We sampled various traditional sweets throughout the day and had matcha tea at the botanical garden after viewing the city and the castle remains from above. Hisato was informative throughout the day and had communicated regularly with us prior to our arrival. She provided detailed information on the multiple stops tourists find interesting and we tailored the tour to places of interest to us.

          Ichi is the best!
My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of having Ichi as our guide during our honeymoon in Nikko, Japan, and the experience was unforgettable. From the moment we booked, Ichi was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, customizing the itinerary perfectly to suit our preferences. His communication was excellent, and he made sure everything went smoothly throughout the trip. Ichi’s local knowledge was both insightful and fascinating, and it was such a joy to explore Nikko with someone who truly understands and loves the area. He was not only informative but also a warm and pleasant person to travel with. We can’t wait to book with Ichi again on our next visit. Highly recommend!

          A smooth visit to Hiroshima
We spent a day with our guide, Kay Kondo exploring the Hiroshima area. From the moment we booked our tour, Kay was in touch with us in order to understand our preferences and customize our itinerary. The itinerary was very smooth and Kay provided good context and explanation when required and at some points knew when to give us some space so that we could take it all in such as at the Peace Museum. Would highly recommend this tour.

          Terrific Tokyo
We had a personalised tour of Tokyo that meant we saw everything that we wanted to see with a guide. Tokyo is the most populated city in the world and it’s really helpful / necessary to have a local show you the sights

We had a terrific time with Yama our guide today. He made visiting Osaka very enjoyable and fun. His knowledge of all the sites we visited coupled with his great personality and sense of humor made our day in Osaka so memorable. Thank you Yama for all the great photos you took that we will treasure always. We would highly recommend you as a guide to anyone.. Thank you again for a great day and we wish you all the best.

          Top Flight Guide in Kyoto
Akira was an absolutely top notch guide. He managed to get us everywhere despite my wife's mobility issues, and even obtained a wheelchair for her at the Golden Pavilion and the Shogun's castle. The sights were all extraordinary, particularly the Buddhist site with which we started the day. Also, he was very easy to communicate with. Our driver too was friendly and very considerate.

          Amazing experience
I could not recommend Izumi Aizawa more highly. He was unbelievably kind and accommodating. For example when we told him our flight had been delayed he asked if we were tired and to let him know if we needed to rest. When my mother developed a cough he kindly took us to a chemist. We saw all of the scheduled sights but he was so open to showing us what we wanted in addition. Also his knowledge when we were at the sights was thorough and interesting. He showed us how to use the metro, helped us in shops and when buying things in the market. This was so useful on our first day as we wouldn’t have had a clue without him and it gave us knowledge for the rest of the trip. He even helped by showing us how to get to places for the rest of our trip.

Half day walking and shopping in Kiyomizu dera Temple area.
We were matched with our guide Mako shortly after booking. We knew where we wanted to go (this was a return visit to Kyoto) and she was helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants ahead of time. On the day of our visit she was on time and we communicated via WhatsApp. Our day was just as we hoped and she made it very easy.

Informative tour at our own pace
Ayako was a great guide. She planned an organized itinerary based on my choices: Golden pavilion, Nijyo Castle, and Eikandou. She also chose a nice restaurant for our lunch. She was very personable and provided great information at the sites. She let us spend as little or as much time as we wanted at each stop. We had a very enjoyable day and learned a lot.

          A fantastic tour for families
Junichi is truly a special person. We had the most wonderful visit to Nara with him. His knowledge of Nara and spirituality runs deep - in fact some of the explanations he gave us were truly beautiful... poetic even! He is light-hearted, flexible and fun. He engaged with our 3 children (11, 9 & 4) and make our trip so special.

Great family tour of Tokyo with an awesome guide.
Yoshi is awesome! My children (11, 9 and 4) had the best time exploring Tokyo with him. He was engaging and very thoughtful about putting together a fun itinerary for our family. We were a little maxed out on seeing temples and museums so he planned a day showing us the more futuristic side of Tokyo. He kindly also proposed activities for the remainder of our stay and showed us how to navigate the subway. My children loved him and were sorry to see our tour end. Thank you, Yoshi!

          Amazing Tokyo!
We had a wonderful tour with Koji. He was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. He took us on a Taylor made tour of Tokyo. We had other tours scheduled in Tokyo. We gave Koji a list of the places these tours were going. He planned our itinerary so as to not repeat any of these stops. We found his tour most worthwhile and would recommend him greatly.

Tomy was the name of guide - we took a private tour to see arashiyama area: zen temple, monkey park, Tenryuji temple Ans garden and bamboo forest ! It was a great experience! Specially because we have a toddler and we couldn't take a regular tour! Tomy was very patient and nice with our little one! I would definitely recommend that - we didn't have to worry about directions looking into our phone- had a great family time exploring the area without hassle

Thank you for joining the tour. It was a hot day, and there were two sections that went up the mountain, so even though it was the course you had chosen, I thought it might have been a little tough for a small child. I believe that the child's unique experiences such as Daihikaku Senkoji Temple, Iwatayama Monkey Park, the Sagano Bamboo Forest, and the trolley train had a positive impact on her growth. Please come again. Tomy

We had such a fantastic day out with Rie! She was an excellent tour guide and she showed us some lovely spots in the forest, Kyoto and Uji! Her English is excellent and she took some lovely photos of us. Rie was very communicative over email and was happy to adapt the itinerary to our requests. We would highly recommend booking this tour. Thank you again Rie!!

Our tour with Bell was truly so great. She was a wonderful guide and took us through the tranquil parts of Kyoto. She was very patient with our larger group and insightful on all the temples we visited. The tour didn’t feel rushed, we had time to stop at the little markets throughout the quite neighborhoods and get all the snacks and treats we wanted. We definitely would do this tour again, there’s so much to see in the areas we were in!

This trip was a great opportunity for a nice brisk walk through the fabtastic bamboo forest and Monkey Park. We were surprised by the very large crowd which slightly lessened the effect of the experience. Our guide Ichiro was pleasant, well prepared and meticulous. He took time to explain all the features at the site. We were also very pleased that he also joined us for lunch where we were able to have a nice social chat - and for him to explain the meal.

        Hi
We were so happy about our guided tour to the Bamboo forest in Kyoto, and beyond :).

Kaeko T. was an amazing guide, she told us so many things we didn’t know, and she always had a keen eye on us, she made sure we didn’t get lost or separated, she also made sure to ask about it we ever needed a break or if we were thirsty or hungry. Top service.
Thank you so much for this your kindness and heartfelt service.

All the best, the family from Denmark

Thank you for your kind comment. I’m very glad to hear that you say so. Arashiyama bamboo forest is always crowded, but fortunately on our tour day, it was not so crowded, and we were able to enjoy walking through the forest and also enjoy walking on the Togetsu Bridge as well. Kaeko

Arashiyama was amazing and Sakoto made it an even more special experience. Her knowledge of the various temples made the difference after seeing so many temples and shrines. The added benefit was the sites that weren’t the major tourist spots!

Thank you for joining the tour around Arashiyama and thank you for your complement to me. Weren't you all get tired after a long walk under the sunshine? I hope not. I hope that all of you enjoyed your rest tour in Japan. I also did enjoy myself guilding you around my hometown Arashiyama. I was very happy when all of you listened to my explanation very eagerly. Particularly, I really felt happy to become a tour guide to see all of you were smiling finding favorite stone statues in Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple. I hope this would be a good memory of your stay in Japan. Kyoto has a lot worth visiting. If you have second chance to come to Kyoto, I am willing to show you around. Please take care of yourselves . Hope everything goes all right with you. Sincerely, . Satoko

Our guide was Hirofumi Nalagawa. He is very professional and thorough in his preparation of our itinerary. He took our interests in full consideration and was meticulous throughout the tour. Arashimaya is beautiful and the changing of the colours of leaves during autumn and the serenity of the bamboo forest made it both magical and mystical. A must see.

If you’ve already done the Kyoto and Nara tours, then this 3rd tour is a nice complement to them both. The bamboo forest and monkey park are worth seeing and there are some breathtaking panoramic views of Kyoto along the way. If you like nature, this is a great tour to take!

Thank you for your kind comment! I’m glad that you enjoyed our tour. I was also enjoyed as well. On the tour day, luckily enough, there were fewer tourists than usual. We enjoyed walking in Arashiyama bamboo forest and were able to take some photos without other tourists in them! I guess you can compare a Zen garden with an aristocratic garden. I hope you will visit Japan again someday. Thank you very much. Kaeko

Overall we had a lovely relaxing day. Our visit to the Bamboo Forest was beautiful. We were very lucky with the weather. It was a bright clear sunny day. Very picturesque place.
Later we visited a temple. Again a very beautiful spiritual place with plenty of photo opportunities.
A trip to the Imperial Palace was very insightful and we learned a bit more about the Japanese culture.
Laterally we visited a Geisha district. Not much to see here as we visited in the afternoon. Think it would come alive a night time.
