Beautiful
Arlington parking garage was free parking. Tram around cemetery makes three stops at Kennedy plot, Tomb of unknown soldier and Arlington House. Interesting tour and beautiful cemetery. Buying through trip advisor was convenient but same tram tickets sold at entrance.

Great tour!
The people were very nice and did a great job of explaining the history. The cemetery is so large and vast, this was a great way to experience it. The changing of the guards was incredible, it’s a must see! Definitely need at least 4 hours to do the tour, we only had 3 hours so we didn’t see JFK’s site.

Hop On/Off Trolley to History in Arlington Cemetery
Aug 2021
My family liked the fact that we could get on and off as we wanted. We could always catch the next trolley. A tour guide was on each trolley to explain what sections of the Cemetery we were looking at and telling us which way to walk to see the Changing of the Guard, or visit Kennedy's Grave, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg's grave - among others. There is no way we could have walked to everything on the very hot, humid day we visited. We were able to purchase trolley tickets when we arrived at Arlington. We also were able to purchase tickets to go inside Arlington House and also see the enslaved people's quarters. This was also worth being a trolley stop as well. All of the tour guides provide a wealth of historic information that we would have overlooked had we tried to do it on our own.

I loved that we didn't have to walk the entire cemetery, but the narration was not great. Hard to hear, and information was kind of all over the place. I did hear "if you look to the left, you'll see a lone tall green tree". I can't remember what the tree was supposed to represent or memorialize, but it was near tons of other tall green trees so I had no idea what I was looking at. I felt this way for most of the ride. Seemed a little overpriced for the experience we got.

The only way to see it all

Well informed guides, helpful staff at every stop. Very convenient way to see this huge reverent cemetery. They got you to the changing of the guard in plenty of time to see it happen. Highly recommend.

Very good narrative
Jul 2021
I took the Arlington National Cemetery Hop-On Hop-Off Tram during my visit to Arlington National Cemetery in July 2021. I boarded the 8:30 am tram and we went directly to the Tour of the Unknown Soldier. The tour guide's narrative was very interesting and helpful. Taking the tram uphill helped me to conserve my energy on a very hot and humid day. After watching the 9 am Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I made the decision to do the rest of my exploration of Arlington National Cemetery on foot. The tour guide gave me good advice on how to explore the cemetery on foot. It was around an hour to work my way to the Cemetery exit and along the way I visited Arlington House and the JFK grave site (it was bypassed on the way to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier for some reason). I think the tram tour is worth the cost (it is a bit expensive) for the transportation from the visitors center to the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and the tour guide's narrative. From the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier you can make the decision to wait for the tram or do the rest on foot.

Great experience
The tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful. The operation of getting riders off and on the trolley was done very well. The Cemetery is beautiful and sacred at the same time.
