- angusb3750 contributionsHiroshima tour with YukoThe experience at Hiroshima was amazing in itself but the stand out of the day was our beautiful tour guide Yuko. Her depth of knowledge and facts about each aspect of the tour blew us aways. We have always been interested in Japanese history and having a local guide us through really made a difference. It was just a bonus we got the most lovely and caring guide available. We will always remember this day as one of the best of the trip thanks to Yuko.Written 8 December 2024

- 114katherinea0 contributionsExpertly guided through Tokyo by Kris IchiharaKris was very well prepared to provide an amazing experience for us. He had a notebook of maps, outlines of historical time-lines, and lists of important information. With his help, we moved quickly from one important site to another, seeing more of Tokyo than we could have seen on our own. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Our day was spent pleasantly and we enjoyed our time with Kris. I highly recommend using Kris as a guide.Written 8 December 2024

- Garry T0 contributionsKyoto - Shogun Castle and Imperial Palace with our guide KazuKazu, our guide for the day, was fantastic. He met us at the hotel and provided a detailed brief on Japanese history and the importance of Kyoto in that regard. He provided us many options from which we chose Nijo Castle and the Imperial Palace. We had lunch at an off the beaten track dumpling restaurant. We would have had zero chance of finding it on our own and welcomed the opportunity to go where few Westerners would enter. We finished the day by walking the Gion Geisha area. We had a great day and thank Kazu so much for making our day as interesting as he did.Written 7 December 2024
- rubysS4152SP0 contributionsAn amazing day!My partner and I went on a tour with Taka around Tokyo and had an amazing time! Taka was very knowledgeable and friendly, we enjoyed all activities. We couldn’t have asked for a better day full of laughter, food and good company! We were a bit intimidated by it being a 8hr tour but by our surprise, time flew by and we enjoyed every moment of our tour and would recommend it to all!Written 7 December 2024

- Chpeterson11090 contributionsJunichi, An Amazing GuideJunichi was absolutely incredible. He went above and beyond even prior to the start of the trip to make sure I had an itinerary that suited all my needs. I also had extreme difficulty with transportation in the trains when I got there. He went to completely out of his way to help find me so that I was no longer lost and also made sure that my transportation home went flawless. He was so knowledgeable and kind. I learned so much about the culture and had so much fun doing it. He laughed the entire day. He was a trooper doing all of the things I wanted to do in such a short timeframe. I cannot recommend him in this tour enough.Written 7 December 2024

May 2024 • Couples
We went to the Kawachi Fujien on May 1 and were fortunate to see so many blossoms of the wisteria flowers. The wisteria tunnel is indeed very beautiful. We were even more fortunate to have a truly wonderful, cheery, and very knowledgeable guide, Miyuki. We took a taxi cab from our hotel, on her advice, and that, I believe, is the ideal way to get there.
Miyuki made sure we enjoyed going through the trail and let the garden's beauty sink in. It made the whole experience a beautiful memory. She pointed out the blossoms that were old, fresh, or budding, including those that had bigger flowers and shorter in length.
We also visited the Kokura Castle, it's garden, and experienced a tea ceremony.
We had a great time despite the overcast weather and occasional showers. All thanks to our guide, Miyuki.
