        Amazing Experience
Being only able to speak English, and having done other tours where this was problematic, Billy made sure that he included me in all conversations, throughout, not just as a “tagline” at the end of the conversation in Portuguese. From the moment Billy met me at my hotel, I knew that this was going to be a professional tour, unlike previous tours I had done the two days prior, with another business. Along the drive to our boat, Billy kept us informed, not only about landmarks and historical information, but also about what they would be doing, e.g. stops along the way. The boat ride through the river, leading up to the Rio Negro, was full of beauty and commentary from Billy, who showed immense pride in his homeland, (with the occasional swim here and there). The lunch that Paulo and his wife put on, was amazing. Paulo’s teachings while we walked through the jungle, translated constantly by Billy, was amazing, allowing us to sample some of the liquids and excretions from the trees and plants, as is still practiced today. Even on the journey back to the hotel, Billy was still upbeat and effervescent. I cannot recommend this tour enough

Excellent experience, friendly guides. Would recommend
Excellent experience throughout. There was always an activity in the morning and the afternoon and plenty of time to chill out. The food was great and cooked fresh every day and the guides were knowledgable. The lodge was basic but has everything you needed - easily the best wifi I’ve had anywhere I’ve stayed. Thank you anaconda team.

Had a great time at the Anaconda Lodge!
I went to the Anaconda Lodge for the 4 day tour recently in October 2024 and had a really great time. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful. My room had powerful air conditioning each night. Everything was well organized with an activity in the morning and afternoon along with plenty of free time to relax at the lodge or go for a hike. The meals were very good with fish and chicken at lunch and dinner and eggs and a meat at breakfast along with vegetables and fruit at each meal. The lodge was nice with a pool I swam in a few times and lounge chairs and a bar with cold drinks (both alcohol and non- alcohol) that you serve yourself at and pay when you leave. The activities were fun and educational and I especially liked the overnight camping in the rainforest. We slept in hammocks with a mosquito net and had a campfire and cooked chicken over the campfire. This really was a great experience and great value for the money. Leonardo, who arranged everything, was very organized, friendly and helpful. The meeting of the waters was not part of our tour, but Leonardo organized a trip for us to take us up to see it at the end of our trip for a reasonable price which was really great to see and was much appreciated by all of us who went to see this, that he did this for us. I highly recommend this tour as I had a great time and it was great value for the money.

        BEWARE
The listing states a jungle tour, but the one listed activity for an "educational jungle walk" on day 2 says it was 2.5 hours, and it was actually only one hour. Those of us who did not pay extra for participation in a native ritual/ceremony had to sit outside with nothing to do, no one to guide us, until the rest of the group was done. We did not get to interact with the local natives or buy anything from them as souvenirs even though this was a huge selling point for the trip for us. There was no education on their way of living or farming techniques. There was no sunrise tour in the jungle. There was no free swim in the river. There was no canoe paddling. We spent most of our time on an uncovered canoe with a small motor for hours, unprepared with extra coverage for our heads or backs during peak sun hours. Many in our tour group were unwell from the heat by the end of our trips out, and one of our friends had extreme heat exhaustion, leading to us not going on the piranha fishing expedition. While on many expeditions, the guide would simply say "we're leaving now" and then head out, not checking we all heard or were going, when we actively chose not to go for the piranha fishing, he was rude and snapped at us, switching to Portuguese to say curses, assuming we wouldn't understand. They stated on day one the itinerary would be varied based on the weather, but the changes were not communicated to everyone each day, so we were told to dress for a jungle hike in long clothes the following day, and then actually spent the entire morning on a canoe under the scorching sun unable to get proper air flow or sweat to keep us cool. Toilets and showers were clogged and there was no toilet paper or soap.

Amazing tree climbing with no fear of heights
We had an amazing climbing experience on a beautiful Angelim Pedra tree of 60 meter tall. The team was very knowledgeable, precise in setting us up and explaining the steps for climbing. They were super caring and supportive the whole way up and...down. Half way the distance the leafy branches offer a canopy like a blanket, we had not fear of heights and once standing on one of the highest branch, we could see the Amazon river, and the City of Manaus. This was the highlight of our trip in the Amazon!

        Good trip
This trip was really great for one like me, never have been to South Africa, but always has curiosity about Amazona. All in all, it wasn’t a harsh trip, you can totally take your time while travelling with tour guide. What amazed me and my friend were that you could touch the red dolphins and alligators, which made me very happy.

        Amazing Amazon is really so
The tour was very comfortable and the time spent was highly worth. The time spent with the local community, sumptuous lunch and visit to meeting of the rivers are worth mentioning. The tour guide and other staff were very nice and the guide explained everything with clarity. The attitude and aptitude are worth mentioning.

        CRIMINALS AND LIARS
Horrible, I don’t recommend it at all. They were harassing me while I was trying to get my refund since they put me in a wrong bus to go to the waterfalls. They suggested me to leave the bus in the middle of the road. I was PREGNANT and the sir named Leonardo was simply DISGUSTING. STAW WAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Fantastic, I'd love to do it all again!
I absolutely loved this trip, it's one of the best organised trips that I've done. There were 5 of us which made the trip really personal. Our guide was Francisco and he was brilliant with sharing his wealth of knowledge about the area. I enjoyed every part of the trip and we were very well looked after. I would do it again in a heartbeat - thank you!

        Great but can be better
This tours is neither good, nor bad. The good. You get to spend 4 days in the jungle hearing raw nature. You can touch the animals that the tour guide catches like the caymans Fruit tour is amazing The bad You are touching animals that’s maybe inhumane as they are wild. There is no swimming with the dolphins, just swimming in the river where the dolphins are. The tour guides are following a schedule so if they see something, and time does not permit, they don’t stop to check it out. They point it out and continue to the original intended destination Very little notice of when the schedule change so most of the time, you don’t know what you are doing Things people can’t control Electricity; when there is no electricity due to rain, sleeping becomes unbearable as it is hot out there without AC/Fan Summary I don’t fault the guides for these tour, but the structure of the organizers really should be clear with the itinerary and what to expect from this tour. This is one of the best travel agencies that I know. I flew to Manaus for 1 day and I needed a very rich and short excursion. The organization was ideal for me from the hotel, took a tour and met after the excursion. The excursion itself included even more places than planned. After the excursion I needed to go fishing with piras. This excursion was organized at the highest level in 15 minutes. At the end of the day I was taken to the airport. In conclusion, I want to say that everything is organized strictly in time and inexpensive.

It was very funny! Swimming with the pink dolphins was the highlight for me. But not that the Meeting of the Waters is any smaller. Let's just say that swimming with the dolphins was more interactive.
The boat was comfortable, the guide was attentive, there was music on board (which is great) and the lunch was good.
Problem: I think my credit card was cloned during one of the purchases, as completely meaningless expenses started appearing today, which I had to block. I recommend using cash.

This is a scam. We paid $150 USD per person from the tripadvisor/viator package and then were tucked into a little boat with people who paid 200 BRL ($38 USD). 4 Times less!
The only difference was our tour included transportation, which costs around $9 USD.

The tour is in Portuguese, they only translate for you if you ask, the places were packed to the max. If you wanted to get your included food, you would have to make a line of around 80 people with no distance at all! The restaurant was a sea of people shoulder to shoulder!

They charged like a premium tour and then they just dumped us to a local tour operator for the masses.

This is a total scam. Most of the attractions were tourist traps.

The guide was a humble man that did his best

Dear Joel, First of all when you call us a scam, you already lose your right to complain and you are restricting Trip Advisor rules, your mentions are offensive and disrespectful. You came on the holiday of September 7th which is the national independence holiday of Brazil. All attractions were packed, many Brazilians, and Portuguese tourists living in the country. The Guide was English and Portuguese speaking cause you were not the only foreign, there were other 10 people at the boat from Russia. Regarding values, there is a law in our country that allows local residents of the city of Manaus to have a different price on weekends and holidays, however we act within the law. Before you go around lacking respect and denigrating the image of a serious company, get informed, you should have contacted us to find out more!!! Have a good day!

      1. The tour was advertised as a maximum of 20 people per tour. We were placed on a boat with more than SIXTY, yes 60, people. Imagine the quality of the tour you receive when you're with a group of people 3x the amount than it was supposed to be. With that number of people it was impossible to hear everything that was being said (not the guide’s fault).

      2. We contacted the tour agency prior to booking the tour to ask about adding a particular activity that was not included on the itinerary (piranha fishing). We were assured that this activity would be included in our tour. We have a voice message confirming that this request would be accommodated. It was not. The guide was not even aware of this arrangement and said that it was a separate agreement made with the agency.

      3. We paid $150 per person for a tour that had 3x more people than it was supposed to have, did not deliver on an activity that was promised to us, and paid 3x the amount of money as some other people that booked through trip advisor/viator for the same tour. We feel totally ripped off.

      4. The tour was supposed to last 8-9 hours. We were picked up at 8:30am and dropped off at 3:30pm. That’s 7 hours.

And let me be clear, this was not the guide’s fault. He did the job he was hired to do. Our problem was with the tour agency. We made several attempts through the tour agency’s preferred method of contact (whatsApp messenger) to make them aware of the issues and try to resolve it respectfully, but the agency has not responded to any of our comments.

So I usually write out all the bad first as I have less bad than good, but this time around it’s more bad than good.

      The good
      ——————-
You get to see the pink dolphins and participate with them
You get to try out traditional food.
      Buffet food; it’s pretty good
You see where the 2 rivers meet; they stop and let you take pictures there

      The bad
      ——————
Ethically, you should not be holding wild animals but in this tour it’s advise not to but the way to the village there are people that do just that. From the monkeys, Macau, Caymen, and even a boa constrictor. For a fee you can hold them and take a picture. I think nature should be left alone for the eyes to see.

I signed up for this tour to swim with the pink dolphins, but not like this. They put a boat full of people(usually 50 people, and who ever would like to jump into the water and chill there you can. The tour guide splashes fish in the water to entice the dolphin to swim to the bait and you get photos with the dolphin. But to be crowded with 50+ people in the water does not make a good shot nor does it make a good experience. And get this; it is only around 5 minutes long. Lower the number of people, but 5 minutes is a reasonable time though short

      Summary

The rest of the tour is acceptable as it’s visiting the aboriginals and seeing their dance, along with fishing. I can say it’s pretty average from a tours like these.

Overall I think if u have a day in Manaus it’s worth it, but visiting The waterfall is a better idea, or more of a private group to swim with the pink dolphins.

The most perfect day! Then tour guide collected us at our hotel, the boat guide was amazinig (Expresso Suziane boat). We were taken to swim with wild fresh water pink dolphins. After that amazing experience and 20 min in the boat we had a great lunch and a river community. Typical food , plenty of it. We got to see the meeting of the waters and an Indian community were we danced with them, held snakes and sloths. If you come to the Amazon you Must do this tour.

I highly recommend this tour. Me and my boyfriend had such an awesome time in Manaus, getting in the boat with the amazing tour was excellent the boat tour until the meeting of the rivers Negro and Solimões was magnificent, they stopped by in a place where we could watch their native fish called “pirarucu” we had a chance to feed the fishes and take pictures Visiting the Indio Village was great, watching their dance and knowing a bit about their culture. I recommend you to not eat much breakfast on the day of this trip because at lunch time they have so much delicious food to offer you. Before we had lunch we went to see the Lilly pad and some cute monkeys while we walked on a bridge. Our driver Maia was really friendly while driving us from the hotel to the boat. We were very lucky with the weather too, had so much fun with the pink dolphins
