I did the private hike with Bruno to the Lopes Mendes beach. It was the best day on the Island! Bruno is very insightful of Ilha Grande and so is the perfect companion! It‘s definitely much more rewarding reaching the beach after a 3h hike, than by boat. Bruno knows the Island very well and gives tipps for other activities as well. Very much appreciated! Did the sunrise hike with George & Paris. The hike was amazing. Would recommend going with small groups. Arriving to the top the view was breathtaking!

The Big Iland is fantastic, every visit a new discovery. You must visit Lopes Mendes such a beautiful beach, also you can rest in the black beach that is near to Abraão village. Good food, good relaxing time

Ilha Grande Hiking, undoubtedly the best way to explore the real and overwhelming beauty of the island. Already the short boat trip along the coastline to the starting point of the hike is stunning. The hike is tailored around your wishes, expectations (and beyond) and pace to make the most out of this experience. During the tour with Bruno (our guide) we learned a lot about the island, it’s history, nature and wildlife but first and foremost the hike was a lot of fun. If you really want to taste the unique flavor of the island…..Ilha Grande Hiking…..your way to go !!

Bruno, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. He had a wealth of knowledge about the nature and history on Ilha Grande and was so approachable. The walk was a great introduction to the island and Dois Rios was really worthwhile visiting. Thank you so much for this experience!

Ilha Grande has so much to offer as far as scenery and great hiking! Bruno is literally the best guide we've ever had in all our travels! He takes his time to plan your day and make sure you get the most out of it. We were supposed to go on a different hike but the weather was not ideal so we opted for this hike and it was excellent! On top of it all, Bruno helped book a last minute tour with a boat company the next day (he only does hiking tours). They did not have any English speaking guides so, do he decided to join us with and guide us. Highly recommend them to anyone who is traveling to Ilha Grande!

This was one of the most wonderful experiences ever. Bruno was an amazing time and had extended knowledge about the island. I felt very safe, that was important to me cause I was traveling alone, but came back having felt I really got to know the island. And had a great work out!! This is a must -do when you’re in island grande!! What a GREAT DAY!!! Go for it!!!!

After knowing I wanted to visit ilha grande for hiking I knew Pico do Papaggio was the one to aim for. Initially thinking I would do it during the day, but once looking on Trip Advisor saw the option of doing a sunrise hike. Came across Martin's name (and great reviews) and messaged on Whataspp and added on Instgram. Was communicating with Martin prior to arrival for the details - very communicative and perfect English. The hike started at 0230hrs, and we reached the top before sunrise. Fairly long slog up but absolutely worth every step. We didn't get bitten to death either which I was expecting. The sunrise was unforgettable. Orange, red, white - amazing shades. Hear the sound of wildlife and relax at the top for a bit. View is just stunning. Martin is great - tells you about different animals and insects that live in along the trail and you might be lucky enough to see some things (we did). Got back to the town for around 0930hrs. Trek was not rushed and caters for the speed of the individuals. Would recommend Martin for sure if you are wanting to do this, and DEFINITELY do the sunrise hike. We easily booked this tour online/via WhatsApp and we’re super exited when we met the guide at 12:30 am at night. We slept few hours before, which was good as the hike was super cool, intense and impressing at the same time. After approx. 4h we reached the top and the view was absolutely marvelous during the sunrise. Our guide Quintino was super helpful, fun and we had a great experience with him. We definitely recommend this tour and the tour operator - for sure one of our highlights in Brasil. Thank you very much :-)

Took a fantastic hike with Ilha Grande Hiking. Our guide had great English (for those needing it) and was extremely knowledgeable about the island. Though we didn’t need it, I appreciated that he took safety seriously. Overall, our guide was warm and welcoming which really helped make for the perfect day. We are already discussing a return to Ilha Grande and a hike is on the must do again list!

what an experience ! Bruno took us on a full exploration of this wonderful eco-rich island - Bruno took us from the city up into the mountains and our reward after 10, 400 steps was ....a wonderful waterfull fed by fresh mountain water - it was invigorating and the big reward for the hike - Afterward wqe hike down to the beach and had a nice lunch overlooking the water and then a swim - Bruno gave us a detailed history of the city and is versed in the trees , fauna and wildlife - we saw a variety of trees , and plant life and one snake ! (harmless!) We are a middle age couple and were able to do it - don't think you are not up to it - Bruno walked with us at our pace and was there to help up the inclines - As I said - it is rewarding and a great way to see this beautiful island ! Put on your sneakers and just do it !
