The host was friendly and great overall just read the inclusions we had to pay for the entry fee in both locations I believe there was a different package on here that includes the entree fee just makes it easier.

Despite letters to Customer Relations, and also the Chief Executive, I have had no response to my request for a refund for a payment we made to a seat change several weeks before our flight. I enclosed copies of a receipt for the paid seat selection and also our boarding passes. NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER.

Alè is a super host. He made us feel well come with personal well come card and snacks and drinks and very helpful. The aparment is cozy and friendly. Location is perfect.

We had an awesome experience with our tour guide Monica. She was very informative and knowledgeable. Everything ran to a tight schedule and was extremely professionally handled. No standing in long queues. Would highly recommend.

Michael and Nicole Roy went with Gisela Vayda on a private tour for 2 days . Plus Gisela picked us up at airport on the 23 April . On 24 and 25 April she took us on extensive touring of Rio . Including my home where I lived for the first 4 years of my life . She had her daughter Victoria to help her . She was EXCELLENT I would say BRILLIANT and we covered such a wide range of Rio de Janeiro . She had a had unbelievable knowledge and spoke excellent English. She made our trip to Rio one of the most memorable trips I have ever made . She the transferred us to our cruise on Saturday the 27 April . We will never forget her or Victoria . Misleading, you are just paying for the travel to the statue where you only get around 40 minutes. The tour guide also spoke minimally about the view because many others were going to Sugar Loaf mountain after and would see similar views, so again using this tour option I didn’t get an actual tour. It is very overpriced considering this. I opted out of the journey back in order to spend more time at the statue and enjoy the cafe. I asked the operator to consider these factors and offer a partial refund but they said no. Yes the terms are listed in the T&Cs of the tour but for the price you would think entrance is included, something that is normal in most tours. My original booking was also cancelled as they didn’t have availability. They didn’t let me know until the evening before either so I had to re-arrange my plans last minute. I wish I just cancelled now!!!!

The driver Valdemar and guide Sabina were great, very friendly, and helpful. However, we purchased this tour by the title: " Corcovado and Christ Statue," but they never mentioned this is JUST the ride to the place. It does not include any entrance. So DON'T buy this if you want to go to the Christ. This is a poor description of what you will get. The title should have said: TRANSPORTATION ONLY to the Sugarloaf & Christ! You either buy a full package with transportation and entrance included or get this transportation ticket and be willing to pay additional there.

WOW!! We had the most wonderful, meaningful and informative day with Efraim. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Jewish community in Rio. He gave us a detailed history and walked us thru current Jewish life. We loved visiting the synagogues, the Holocaust Museum, the Jewish community center and the Jewish museum. He shared personal anecdotes of his life in Rio. His partner, Gisela, was a wonderful enhancement to our tour. We left feeling so emotional about our experience and this community. Highly recommend Efraim!!

Gisela was an incredible guide! She went above and beyond. We had a custom itinerary that she followed perfectly. We had more time than we expected, and she filled it with awesome experiences we hadn’t planned. She also went out of her way to point out interesting things about Rio along the way. Our group couldn’t speak Portuguese, and her English was exceptional. We highly recommend hiring her if you’re wanting to tour Rio!

I had such a great time on this tour! Aside from how cool Christ the redeemer is close up, and the experience in general, my guide Gabriel was fantastic. He was engaging and passionate to share his vast knowledge and knew everybody who worked at the sites.. Everyone was excited to see him and talk to him and that made the experience feel much more personal and welcoming. He puts a lot of care and effort into making sure that you have a good time and that the people around him are happy. It was a very nice personal touch and a bright spot on a rainy day.

Guide was great. The first half was great but the second half is problematic: 1 Macarena stop (30+ mins drive for 3-5 mins in the blaring sun without shade for a statue, and you can't even see inside the stadium) shouldn't exist. 2 We were intially denied entry into Sao Bento (which the inside is the ONLY reason to visit. There is no explanation here. 3 Seleron streets were closed (as they could've/should have) anticipated, and we werent even able to park somewhere to walk and see it. Even lunch is an extra $25USD (EXPENSIVE)and for carnivores and people with large appetites (buffet) which I am not, so had to scramble to find something in 45 mins and initially, thanks to closed places and incorrect orders, did not! They should ONLY be selling half day tours during Carnival week. And NO macarena! This is a money grab. I would have rated the half day 5 stars.

We booked CariocaTropical for a half day trip in Rio, because we were very limited in time. Gisela and her driver organized anything in an excellent manner, they picked us up at the hotel and we were on time at the airport! Thank you Gisela for your sophisticated outstanding tour! Matthias

Before and during our 4 days tour of Rio de Janeiro, the communication with Gisela has been excellent! She is a pleasure to be with. Has a vast knowledge of the city and shares her knowledge in such a natural way that we actually remembered it all. We felt very safe with her and her excellent drivers during our 4 days together. Needless to say we enjoyed exploring Rio de Janeiro with Gisela!

Efron was an amazing guide. His depth of knowledge was extraordinary. He was always informative and always had a joke or anecdote to keep the conversation going. I would say he was one of the best tour guides we experienced in South America.
