Great tour. Riding was mostly flat so made for an enjoyable morning seeing Rio. Took in lots of the sights and the guide was very informative and accommodating.

Beware of the misinformation shared when you book this tour. The name of the tour and the attached Google Map leads you to an address (outside an electrical shop) that is NOT the address where the tour starts (also outside an electrical shop). The tour starts a few blocks away, in a tucked away alley of a group of small shops which is difficult to find. If you arrive late, (we were 10 minutes late) there is no one around to assist you or help you catch up with the group. There was zero communication from the tour operator before our tour, and no one answered the What's App number we contacted as we were scrambling to find them. They left without us. Terrible experience. We were definitely ripped off.

This was a terrific overview of the city. Be aware that the bike lanes in Rio are not that wide. There were plenty of stops and a nice rest at Flamingo beach. Loved it!

Not the easiest city for cycling but still a great way to cover some ground and get the lay of the land without only being stuck at the most touristy areas. Wish our guide had been a bit more attentive and not spent almost the whole time talking with just one participant. Also no water was provided on a very hot day (never had that before on a bike tour) and no thought of a bathroom stop.

This was a Great ride , lots of interesting content explained about the areas we rode , and the most amazing views along the way. Recommend

A bit tricky finding their home base, but since they were taking the bikes outside I could spot them easier. The 3 hour bike tour had a nice pace to it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Remember a hat, the sun is brutal in some parts. Would have been nice to have my own pannier for my bike but the guide was kind enough to carrier my pack for us. Big thank you for that. Very fun, highly recommended.

We did the panoramic tour as a first sight seeing of Rio. Wim was our guide and he did a perfect job. We did the highlights in south of rio, but visiting these by bike makes the difference. Knowledgeable guide.

Our guide, Doug, was amazing. Full of information and really funny and quirky. Brought Rio to life for us. It was an amazing tour with wonderful views of Rio. A great way to get round the city and the tour wasn't too taxing. Would definitely recommend.

A fun alternative way to explore the lovely city of Rio. Our guide Ulyses was great, friendly and helpful. He chose a great route to see many sights. Only downside, the bikes are a bit old, with no gears so after about4 hrs, you feel it. A bit of hard work! Still enjoyed it.

We have done a LOT of city bike rides, all over the world. So we know when it’s good and this was definitely great. We were late (useless Uber driver) but our guide was totally chilled and couldn’t have been more accommodating. He managed to get the balance right with the amount of information, plenty of rest stops, plenty of drinks and he certainly knew the city well. Plus a great sense of humour and lots of tips of places to go and restaurants. Thank you, Ulysses!

We (almost 69 and 74 year³s) drove about 35 km in the 7- hours tour, so that was easy. Marco told a lot about live in Brasil and especially in Rio. All the things written in other reviews below are true. The owner and Marco, our guide, are relaxed people full of trust. We had a tasty lunch too. And there were no other tourists with us, but that was no problem for Riobikes. Thanks Marco for this wonderfull day!

Philip was a great guide, it was a wonderful time exploring the city by bike. Better than a walking tour in my opinion, because it's easier to cover more ground in the same time. Highly recommend!

The Rio by bike is a great tour for anyone wanting to explore Rio. Our guide was really informative and the route is almost all on bike lanes so is accessible to all levels. It was raining when we arrived in the morning for our tour but Jan was very accommodating and let us join the afternoon group and gave us some suggestions of places to eat and see to fill our time. A really nice team and definitely worth booking!

We were promptly received outside the Rio Othon hotel, Copacabana meeting point by Jan with whom I organised the tour a week prior and Marco who took us on the tour on the actual day. The bike tour is really informative, professionally structured and well executed. Marco has a wealth of knowledge about Brazil’s history as well as the various points we stop at and ensures you are given all of the details. We most certainly enjoyed the overall tour and went away with plenty of knowledge about Rio and Brazil. The tour we selected was the 4hour panoramic one which lasts the entire time period from start to finish. The actual bike ride although lengthy it may be, about 28kilometres round trip, the gentle pace is relaxing and enjoyable indeed. A must tour for everyone who visits Rio.
