I went on a solo trip to Rio de Janeiro earlier this month (January) and originally only booked Caio for a hike to Telegraph Rock. I thought it was going to be a regular tour, but Caio exceeded expectations in all areas - so much so that I cancelled the tours I had scheduled with other companies and booked this best of rio private tour with him as my guide instead. Caio was a tour guide, historian, comedian, and professional photographer all in one. He always had a fun fact, a joke, a story, a recommendation, or a suggested photo location/background to share. At each location, Caio navigated and managed the crowds like a pro and always got the best shot using his professional camera equipment. Lastly and most importantly, he was communicative and flexible to work with. He was always available to answer my questions and customized the tour based on my interests. I explored, learned, laughed, and came back home with amazing photos to remember my time and share my experience with family and friends. I highly recommend this tour!!

We had an amazing trip around the rocinha favela, Caio took us to the places that tourists would not normally go, Though we felt 100% safe the whole time. I couldn’t recommend more if you want an authentic experience and to learn about the history.

Amazing tour of Favela! Must do whilst in Rio. Caio is very knowledgeable, friendly and took us to some great spots including - football pitch, rooftop view, local persons house,l and secret lanes! We even played football with the kids. Highly recommend Caio!!

The tour guide was amazing and well spoken. I learned so much about the Favela and how it came to be. If I ever come back to Rio, I will definitely book this tour again. We got to see a little bit of how people in the Favela live, we got to go in some of their homes and they are super nice people. The tour guide was funny, he knew exactly what he was talking about and he let us know when we were able to use our phones or not. I felt safe learning about the Favela. if you ever come to Rio and want to learn a little about the favela and its people, I highly recommend booking this tour with this tour guide. This was literally one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done! Hiked for about 40 mins and got to see the most rewarding view ever ! Caio was very professional, patient and made sure me and my friend were good the entire time! Would certainly recommend him to anyone that’s up for an adventure :)

What an experience! A real eye opener. Learnt about the history of the favelas, met some lovely people. A real must do if visiting Rio.

We did a whole-day tour of Rio, taking in the Christ Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf mountain, and some favelas. Caio tailored the tour to our interests and offered a fantastic, personalised service. We were able to skip many of the queues at major attractions and he knew all the best photo spots. He is a lovely guy and very knowledgeable. We really had a wonderful, personal experience that I do not imagine you would get on more general tours. I highly recommend this tour.
