The pickup process was an absolute nightmare. The driver was THREE HOURS late, and there was ZERO communication. I sent 15 messages begging for an update, and got ignored every single time. We were actually packing our luggage into the Uber we had called because we had completely given up—still no response from them. Then, they finally replied, only to tell us we had to walk to some random spot for pickup, even though they had promised to come directly to the hotel. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs.

WORST PICK UP PROCESS EVER. The driver was three hours late and there was no communication whatsoever. I messaged them 15 times asking them when they were coming and got no response. I started packing my things into an Uber until they FINALLY responded telling us that they were on the way. Once they did respond, they wanted me to walk to a completely different location to pick us up even though they said they’d pick us up directly from our hotel. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Really struggled with these guys. We booked a round-trip from Rio to Ilha grande. Whilst the outbound was easy and on time, the driver was great and the transport was fantastic, we had a lot of problems organising the return leg. The biggest problem with these people is that they don’t communicate and you cannot get through to them if you have any queries. And whilst it all worked out in the end with no issues, when you’re on holiday as a couple looking to have a stressfree holiday, you don’t want to be thinking about these small issues. I must’ve contacted the top transfer WhatsApp number eight times. Furthermore, once we finally do get in touch with them, and everything was on track. I decided to request a transfer from Rio airport and to get a private fat to Buzios. We were dropped off at the airport from our initial round-trip booking, and we have absolutely no idea where to go to meet our private driver to buzios. It just created more anxiety and stress. In the end , someone contacted us at the exact time and told us where to meet them. If the communication was better and you could contact them nice and easily, they get a five star . Because of their communication issues, I drop it to 3/5 Unfortunately, I will not be booking through this organisation again .

We booked two trips with TopTransfer. The first was a transfer from Paraty to Ilha Grande (private car/group boat). The second was a transfer from Ilha Grande to Rio (group boat/private car). The booking process was good, although I caught a mistake on the first transport order, which had to be corrected and resent before payment. However, the salesperson was responsive and professional. We received confirmation before the first leg from Paraty to Ilha Grande. The driver arrived on time. However, he frequently drove above the speed limit, seemingly in a rush to get to his Christmas lunch. My nephew had bad car sickness due to the windy roads, exacerbated by the driver's jerky driving, and the driver had to stop on the side of the road. He barely said goodbye to us at the end of the journey. The second leg was a HORRIBLE and stressful experience. Please note: I had paid in full three months before the transfer. It included a private taxi from Angra do Reis to Rio and group boat transport on the 8:30 am boat. We didn't receive the expected pre-travel confirmation from Top Transfer as we had on the first trip. At 8:39 am while waiting on the dock for the delayed 8:30 am Natiga boat, I received a text from TopTransfer telling me that there had been a “problem” with my boat reservation for 8:30 am and that we would need to take the 9:45 am Natiga boat. I told Top Transfer that, due to our schedule, a later boat was not viable and that I had booked through a "trusted" company like TopTransfer to avoid such problems. When the boat finally arrived, the boat attendant told me we were not on the 8:30 am boat manifest, nor the 9:45 am manifest. TopTransfer insisted that they had paid Natiga for the boat transfer. Then they backpedaled and said there had been a problem with my credit card. ??? This was blatantly NOT true, as I had a record of paying TopTransfer in full three months prior. The Natiga attendant told me that his company had constant issues with TopTransfer. A fellow boat passenger/pousada owner echoed this sentiment, saying that she does not recommend the company to her hotel guests. The entire 30-minute boat trip was extremely stressful with TopTransfer insisting via text that I not pay Natiga. Before we arrived in Angra dos Reis, I was forced to pay R$240 directly to Natiga, despite having already paid TopTransfer. (I don't blame Natiga, as they needed to be paid.) TopTransfer finally agreed to refund me R$240, which took two days to hit my account. Once we arrived in Angra, we found our driver. TopTransfer had not communicated our arrival time with him. While he was a good driver and nice person, he drove an unkempt car, which beeped continuously due to an empty fuel tank. He explained that gas prices fluctuate wildly in Rio State and that he was waiting to refuel where he could purchase a cheaper type of gas.

We booked a watertaxi at Ilha Grande from our private beach 🤩 The boat was there spot on at 7am, and the sailor was very friendly, we felt safe and the boat was very comfortable

Everything went perfect ! Camilla gave us really precise and good information! Everything was really well organized. Already 3 times with them I recommend 100%

Transfer logistics ran smoothly and as described. There is a 25 min stop which is spot on to go toilet, grab a bite etc. Only reason I'm not giving. 5 stars was because the driver was constantly checking his phone while driving and also driving too fast. I'm ok with this as it's very Latin driving manners. But thought of letting people know.

Do NOT book with this company. We booked a trip from Rio to Ilha Grande. Departure at 12h. Few weeks after booking the trip was postponed by the company with 45min. At moment of arrival in the airport in Rio (pick-up location), we got a text estimating pick-up time at 2pm (which was still acceptable for us, as in the voucher a time window was given). However at 2pm, we got a text the driver would be 'a few minutes' later... After another 30min, we asked where the driver was. Then we got a text the driver would be late for another 50min! We waited patiently. But only at 4.20pm the driver came: more than 4h after the initial booked pick-up moment. Afterwards, we still had to pick-up other people and drove around in Rio for another 1.5h! So we left Rio at little before 6pm... When finally arriving in the harbour close to Ilha Grande, where normally a ferry would be: it was already 8.30pm, completely dark and abandond. (Last ferry leaves at 6.30pm.) We were passed on to a 'middle man'. During this whole time, we had little or no information as the driver and middle man could not speak English. Also the company dit not give much information. Just the text: 'We were informed that the ship has already embarked. Thank you for your patience and have a good trip.' Seriously? Finally, al little before 9pm, we were put on a small speedboat, without life vests in stormy weather, and driven by a teenager, to go to Ilha Grande with the rest of the people of our van. Really scared and not save. Thank God we made it to Ilha Grande alive.

Transfer did a great job. We went as a group of friends and did the VIP Transfer and could not have asked for a better experience. If you are looking for seamless, hassle free, pick up, delivery, and coordination, then I recommend Top Transfer. They have friendly staff, know the locals and how to arrange activities, and were clearly experienced at doing this. I can see why they are ranked #1. Thanks Top Transfer for enabling us to relax and enjoy our experience at Ilha Grande!

Had an absolutely outstanding experience with Top Transfer. They were on time, and made sure that we were informed and felt safe. They provided excellent customer service and were happy to answer all of our questions. They really wanted to make sure that we had fun and experienced all that Brazil had to offer. A huge part of the success of our trip was our experience with Top Transfer. Highly recommend!!!!

Our experience with Top Transfer was exceptional. They were very timely, made sure that we were informed and safe. And overall they provided excellent customer service. I could not believe how personal and kind they were. The staff really wanted to make sure that you enjoyed your entire stay in Brazil. Our trip was largely a success because of the great experience with Top Transfer!!!!!

I spent ages trying to find a transfer between Rio and Ilha Grande, as so many had mixed reviews. Top Transfer provided a very efficient service. We received communication the evening before pick up to confirm what time the driver would arrive. In the morning, they confirmed the driver was in his way and he arrived on time. We were driven to a Dock that was super quiet, it was only our minibus and one other there to get the boat, so it was all quick and efficient. The way back was also on time and we'll organised. My only tip is to check the price quoted. I had seen another tour company selling the transfer, with the price advertised on their website. I saw it was operated by Top Transfer, so I decided to contact them directly. They originally quoted a higher price than I had seen elsewhere. Once I queried it, the price was reduced. So do your research!

This organisation is a disaster for the second time! First of all we ordered a bus for later in the day and because the company changed the time to 7am with very short notice, we had to skip our morning tour + we had no opportunity for anything to drink or eat at our hotel before the 7h ride to Rio, which it showed us originally would take half the time to get there in the first place. Then we had to change cars so quickly twice and the driver took out our luggage, forgetting my little backpack before loading it with the new passengers luggage. They then let me know later that this bag has stayed behind and it will come to Rio with the next shuttle. Suddenly then, they message us it's only for 50 real and we said even okay to that, even though we were not so happy. Now the backpack arrived in the hotel early one morning and my only more valuable thing is not in there anymore (my speakers) Also last year we used Top Transfer, because there is not really another way to get to ilha grande by public transport.. they dropped us off where we were supposed to get a boat to pick us up which never happened and we waited hours until it got dark. In the end we paid some guys to bring us over instead. It is the last time I use Top Transfer and I will let other people know about this miserable service.

so far so good. I will go there in APR so I hope that the transport service (private) will be as good as my booking experience. I did it via whats app and Vanessa S from Top transfer was really helpful and patient. All went really well and no issues.

Used Top Transfer to get from Ilha Grande to GIG airport and was a brilliant service. Renata was amazing at helping us decide which was the best time to leave and advised us best time to leave to get to the airport. Took the time to translate into English for us, and double checked we understood everything throughout. She has great customer service skills and is a credit to the company. Ended up going back to book other day trips on the island with Top Transfer because of this, and I would highly recommend to anyone for the high convenience and ease.
