Booked this transfer from Rio GIG airport to Copacabana beach hotel for the ease of having this done before arrival. Booking was very easy. A day before arrival, I received a text message (US number) asking for a valid flight number and scheduled pickup time. I replied back but received a system response saying I could not reply since this was a German number. I went to my Viator booking and provided the requested information, though the information was provided at the time of booking, and questioned pickup time at the time I was due to land and still needed to clear Customs and Immigration. Response back was to move my pickup time an hour later. Felt comfortable, but the plane landed 30 minutes early. Found the meeting point thanks to a Whatsapp message from the local team. The local reps and driver spoke limited English. After 30 minutes of waiting at the meeting point, I asked when we would leave for Copacabana and told "in 20 minutes." Finally left for Copacabana a few minutes after the amended pickup time, so I waited for over an hour at the airport. Granted it was my concern for the flight being late to question the 7.58 pickup time, but there was clearly no monitoring of my flight and no adjustments made to the departure time. Overall, I got to the hotel okay, but the lack of monitoring and delay let me wanting a better option next time.

Incredible service. I have traveled extensively around the world and have had many airport taxis. I booked Talixo via booking.com. Talixo contacted me via WhatsApp in English 3 days before my flight. Then waited at the airport with my name on a board having texted me where to meet. Return taxi was punctual and took 24 minutes from Catete to Gig airport. Lovely experience and great service. Worst experience ever! We booked a car for 6 people and 6 big luggage cases, in the end a car for 6 people and 3 luggage cases arrived.. all the driver did was send WhatsApp to some guy for 30 mins and telling us at some point that he can't take us. He took all our things out and we had to get additional taxis to the airport. We did not even get our money back!! Such a scam!!! Stay far away from this company, Über is much better

I was stranded at the airport for 1.5 hrs after a 11 hrs flight . They sent me the details of the taxi , that was supposed to pick me up , but another taxi turned up and I refused to get in for security reason . Contacted the support centre ans was trying to get the problem solved for an hr and didn’t even get an apology and they couldn’t even update me with the registration number of the new vehicle . I had to get taxi from the airport which cost me a fortune . Terrible customer service and the WORST experience I have ever had .
