About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ryanbR2471UQ0 contributionsInteresting day trip outside Kunming seeing the red soil farmland and mountainsTake a car ride a few hours away from Kunming to Dongchuan “red land” with some interesting sites as you go into the countryside. We stopped by several scenic spots to see the red earth and farmlands (lots of corn, but also some canola and other crops) and take photos. The tour guide Tina is very knowledgeable and helped make the trip worthwhile, and the driver uses a new and comfortable minivan that gets us from place to place. We went in early October and it was quite chilly already, so be sure to bring some warm clothes, particularly for when you get to the higher elevation spots. On the plus side, this trip doesn’t require much hiking compared to the other Kunming tours we did, so it was a nice break from all the exercise.Written 4 October 2024
- ericmQ5744JJ0 contributionsBest day trip ever! This was our second time to Yunnan province and our first time to Dali and this tour made us fall in love with Dali! We were staying in kunming for a 3 day weekend and decided to go to Dali for the day, this tour gives you all it promises and more. It was very easy to book and communicate with the company via WeChat. Even though it was a holiday and we only gave them a few hours notice (not to mention the middle of a pandemic) they arranged everything quickly and hassle free. Everything from that day (from leaving our hotel room in the morning to returning to our hotel at night) was extremely simple thanks to the tour company. Our tour guide, Linda, was the best tour guide we have ever had! She helped us with everything and showed us the real Dali, her English is extremely good so make sure you ask for Linda if you go! Even though we already did this trip, we would definitely do it again without hesitation! Also the lunch is absolutely out of this world, make sure you choose the traditional Dali Chinese food option it is so good and let's you taste real traditional local food.Written 5 April 2021
- grantlym_130 contributionsDongchuan Red Slopes Tour - KunmingThis is a highly recommended tour from south central China. It covers the amazing red soil slopes to the north of Kunming. It is an easy 3-hour drive to the area. Expect to see the red soils of the area with the what the farmers provide with crops. Green in the early season, reds and browns as they grow and are harvested. Peak is early spring and late summer, but high summer can be good too. Guides and driver are part of the package. Guide really knew the area. Expect sunset and sunrise locations - and hope for the right conditions from nature. A great way to spend two days.Written 30 July 2019
