About
How do you fancy a day on your own private Mediterranean island? The island of Supetar is waiting for you. This picturesque Dubrovnik island, which from the air reassembles an atoll, is located in the Bay of Župa, a short boat ride from either the Old City of Dubrovnik or the coastal town of Cavtat. In fact, this tiny private island is one of the most southern in the whole of Croatia, a country with over a 1,000 islands dotted along its Adriatic coast. By boat from the heart of Dubrovnik it is only a 30-minute journey, and from the nearby Mlini, Plat and Cavtat even closer. We’ll whisk you to your own private island where you can explore and discover, and of course swim, the whole day long. The aptly named “Robinson Club” on the island provides food and drink for all guests. Now that’s something to tell your friends when you get home from your holidays. You’ve had a barbeque in the Mediterranean sunshine on a private island.     .

What to expect
  • If it’s a day of peace and tranquillity you are after, either with a good book in the shade or with your own secluded beach, a day-trip to the island of Supetar should be on your “must do” list.    Our boats stop at the island as part of the regular boat line between Dubrovnik and Cavtat, during the whole day, which offers you the flexibility to spend as much time on the island as you want. If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik, then an afternoon on a charming private island is a once in a lifetime opportunity Sunshine, sea, nature, seclusion, all the things you’d expect from a private island in the middle of the Adriatic. Supetar (yes, we know it already sounds like super) is an island paradise where you can be a real-life Robinson Crusoe for the day. The island is under the private concession of the Adriana company and we’ll take you to the island so you can stay as long as your heart desires. What can you do on a tiny green spot in the middle of a turquoise sea? You’d be surprised! Even though Supetar is relatively small it has a wealth of options, or you could just take a good book and relax under the shade of a tree for the afternoon. In the crystal, clear waters surrounding the island there is in fact a secret. Around 1,500 amphorae, dating from the 3rd and 4th centuries, are hidden in the sea and we can organise a diving trip so that you can experience Dubrovnik’s rich and diverse history up close and personal. There is even a shipwreck site in the near vicinity. Of course without the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik you might want to just find your spot in the sun, or on one of the many natural beaches, and lose yourself in your own thoughts. And don’t forget your camera. Believe it or not you’ll have views all the way back to Dubrovnik but also over the whole Bay of Župa and the soaring mountains behind the picturesque coastal town of Cavtat. And from refreshments you have the rather ingeniously named “Robinson Club” which offers a barbecue and drinks. Order lunch with a nice glass of wine and find your spot in the sun as you eat in the middle of the Adriatic. However of you are feeling a little more active there is also a football pitch and basketball court on the island, a great way to burn off those calories after lunch.    And what a location for a wedding or a party. Now that’s what we call a unique location. We’ll help you organise the celebration of your dreams on a private island in the Adriatic.

Nothing much !!
Mar 2021
We were in Cavtat for a day tour about 3 years back when we saw an attractive hoarding of Supetar Island. When we inquired from the boat booking counter about visiting next day, they lied to us saying it's a very popular island and they are heavily booked for tomorrow. We booked two sets for next day at 11 AM. When we took the boat next day at 11, we were the only people in the boat. The boat dropped us at the island, 10 minute ride, and went back. To our great shock, we found there was nobody, not a single person on the island. The only restaurant was closed. It was scary with no means of communication. After an hour one old lady came and opened the restaurant. There was no beach and entire island was rocky. It was not possible to swim without getting slipped. The overall maintenance was quite poor. Within half an hour we requested the lady to call a boat to take us back. It was a bad experience.
Avoid it...

Lovely Day Out
Aug 2019
The boat trip was about 20 minutes from Mlini and the trip was good value for money. The 'all inclusive' trip we booked should have included soft drinks but we bought from the bar before we were told that, which was a mistake. Nobody told us our drinks were on a table for us to help ourselves. The barman apologised but never offered us a refund! The lunch was excellent, loads of meat and some roasted veg with bread, but some rice or salad would have been nice to accompany it. THEN we got our free drinks, cheap lemonade and/or cola, or iced water which tasted of diesel. Wine was offered also but we didn't partake so can't comment on it's quality.
We had to rummage around for a parasol to shade our sunbeds on a hill (which had no cushions so were quite uncomfortable).
There is no beach as such, just some rocky outcrops which people used to sunbathe. Swimming/paddling is only really available near the jetty, everywhere else is too rocky, slippery and dangerous. We were very glad of our wet shoes bought for £10 before we visited the island.
The return trips are not as frequent as advertised and you have to ask the barman to phone the boat if you want to be collected.
The football pitch advertised hasn't been maintained and is completely overgrown.
On reflection, we could have hired a boat or jetski and made our own way there and back. We would have had to pay for food and drinks then, and sunbeds and parasols, so that might outweigh the cost of boat hire, not sure?
