- Passport6950600 contributionsA nice day in Kosovo. Egun zoragarria Kosovon. The trip to Kosovo was a true pleasure. It was worth it. Prizren is beautiful, and Pristina isn't pretty, but it's the capital and worth exploring. The guide and driver, Toni, is well-versed in the region's history, and I find its more recent history very interesting.I have really enjoyed. Benetan gozagarria izan da txangoa. Toni gidaria oso jatorra eta pazientziduna. Talde txikia ginen eta ederki uztartu dugu denok. Oso interesgarria leku ezezagun eta desberdin hauek ezagutzea, ikusi ahal izan dugunagatik eta baita gidariak kontatu digunagatik ere. Oso gomendagarria.Written 17 March 2025

- sddspp0 contributionsGreat tour with great guideThis half-day tour was a fantastic way to explore the city and its surroundings, offering a well-rounded introduction to Skopje’s history, culture, and natural beauty. Our guide, Elena, was absolutely amazing—her enthusiasm for sharing the history and heritage of North Macedonia was evident in every part of the tour. She made a point to use every opportunity to teach us something new, whether it was about the city’s landmarks, historical events, or cultural traditions. As we drove through Skopje, Elena pointed out numerous important sites, providing insightful context and historical background. Her deep knowledge allowed her to converse on a variety of topics related to her country, making the experience much more engaging and enriching. She gave us a great overview of North Macedonia’s complex and fascinating history, which made exploring the city even more meaningful. Beyond the city, the tour took us to some breathtaking natural landscapes. Matka Canyon was absolutely stunning—steep limestone cliffs rising dramatically above the turquoise waters of the Treska River created a serene and picturesque setting. The canyon’s beauty was amplified by its peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect escape from the city’s energy. Overall, this tour was an excellent blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Elena’s passion and expertise made the experience even more special, turning every stop into an opportunity for deeper understanding and appreciation. If you're looking for a well-organized, informative, and visually stunning way to experience Skopje and its surroundings, this tour is a must.Written 15 March 2025
- Johanna B0 contributionsAmazing day tour to Kasovo!I booked a group tour but ended up being the only participant. So I had a very private informative day to Kosovo. My guide Zarko gave me profound insights to the history of the whole Balkan region. We also talked about current political moves, culture among Balkans and of course local architecture and events in Kosovo. It was an amazing and informative day. 10/10 recommend!Written 10 March 2025
- 676mieked0 contributionsMatka Canyon / Milennium cross TourOur guide was very knowledgeable about Macedonia and the region. The bus was clean, and the driver was excellent. It was a sunny day with a bright blue sky. Even though the morning was extremely cold (temperatures below zero), the boat trip through Matka Canyon was wonderful. Extra blankets were available for those who needed them. Inside the Vrelo Cave, it was pleasantly warm. We enjoyed stunning views from Vodno Mountain near the Millennium Cross and admired the beautiful frescoes in the Church of St. Panteleimon. We highly recommend this tour! - ashleyf4330 contributionsBritish lads in SkopjeFantastic experience lead by Zarko, very knowledgeable and educated us a lot on the history surrounding Macedonia and Kosovo and the surrounding areas. Good value for a whole day spent touring Kosovo, picked us up from the hotel and dropped back at our door. Would definitely recommend to others.Written 27 February 2025
- PhilDerry770 contributionsGreat way to quickly see a number of brilliant places in a short amount of timeVlad was a fantastic guide—very knowledgeable and laid-back. The drive up to the Millennium Cross and cable car is incredibly picturesque, offering stunning views of the city. The Millennium Cross itself is quite impressive up close. Once at the top, you can enjoy a complete 360-degree view of both the city and the surrounding mountains. On the day we visited, there was snow at the summit, and it was quite cold, so I recommend wearing appropriate clothing. We then drove on to Matka Canyon, which is absolutely breathtaking. You can hike along the trails, which span about 5 km, but we opted for a boat ride that costs around €5, taking us to the Vrelo Caves. Inside the caves, the temperature was about 12°C, providing a nice respite from the cold outside. There were five of us in total, and we had the entire place to ourselves—it was wonderfully quiet. Overall, this tour is a great way to quickly see a number of brilliant places in a short amount of time, and I would highly recommend it!Written 20 February 2025
- Relax444335687560 contributionsA MUST while in Skopje! My husband, four year old daughter and I took the Matka Canyon and Millennium Cross tour and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our tour guide, Olivia was incredibly friendly and so kind to our daughter. It felt like we had known her for years. Olivia shared information about every site along the way, and I liked that the time at each stop was neither too long or too short. The tour bus was not overly packed, the drive to each site wasn’t too long, and overall it is a very well organized day. Would highly recommended booking this tour while in Skopje!Written 16 February 2025
- mjessop10 contributionsExcellent start to finishWe had a fantastic time on this trip. Olivia was an excellent tour guide and nothing was too much trouble for her. We paid for transfers and they collected us from the airport to take us on the trip. Our plane was two hours delayed but this didn’t matter as they tracked our flight and collected us when we arrived. I would recommend this company and Olivia to anyone interested in this trip! Thanks for a great day!Written 9 February 2025

First I did a tour of Matka Canyon and was then so impressed I booked a tour to a winery and the Roman ruins at Stopi. - 944RicardoP0 contributionsExcellent ExperienceOur trip to Kosovo was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Helen, our driver, was not only highly skilled behind the wheel but also incredibly knowledgeable about the region’s history and culture. She provided us with fascinating insights into Kosovo’s past and present, making the journey much more enriching than we had anticipated. Throughout the trip, she ensured that we were comfortable and well taken care of, always attentive to our needs and happy to answer any questions we had. Her friendly and professional demeanor made her a real pleasure to deal with, and we felt like we were in excellent hands the entire time. - wun0 contributionsWonderful driver & guideWe did a sightseeing transfer from Sofia to Skopje with Rila Monastery stop on Dec 22. Our driver Igor came on time to pick us and the luggages. He is easy to communicate. He drives within speed limit. We can enjoy the scenic landscape and take many photos along the route. We had one hour stop at Rila Monastery and ample time to see the whole monastery. Igor bring us to a traditional restaurant for lunch. The food is good. He then dropped us safely at the apartment we booked. We had a great experience with Igor. He is always accommodating to our request and smiles all the time. We are happy to have him as our driver. We also booked a full day Best of Skopje with Skopje Daily tours on Dec 23. When we see Igor again as our driver, we happily greeted him. This time he bring a guide Oliver to join us. Oliver speaks perfect English and she is passionate and give us the best of Skopje. She never stop giving us details of history and culture on the sights along the route. We do appreciate her enthusiasm in ensuring we know and understand the sights. After visiting Matka Canyon and St Panteleimon monastery, we wanna get a closer glimpse of the Millenium cross. Igor drove us to a viewpoint. However the cross was covered by clouds and startled to snow. After a traditional lunch, Oliver started walking tour in new and old part of the city. We covered Makedonija Square, Old Bazaar, Stone bridge, Mother Theresa Memorial & end tour in Old Train Station around 5pm. During the walk, we understand deeply on the history and culture that carved Skopje as it is today. Specially thank Oliver for giving us her best.Written 5 January 2025

We greatly appreciate his intellect and knowledge, learning a lot about the geopolitics of the region which we like having an understanding of. Of course we also enjoyed the sight-seeing. Our guide Tonny knows the history of not only the Okhrid but overall Macedonia very well which let us know everything we wanted to know about and even the information that you can’t find in Google . He was very polite and taktfull all the time. The mask was on thru the whole day which showed respect. Also He drives the vehicle very safely and the vehicle felt very comfortable for us to sit so we didn’t feel sore after the trip. We didn’t have to think where to go and what to eat . He knew all the things to make our trip wonderful and interesting and he has very good English. I think if we ever come back here we will order the excursions with Tonny.

If you want to see the most beautiful fresh water lake in the world then you must allow at least 5-7 days for the ancient city of Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia, situated around one of the biggest and cleanest Lakes in the world. The city itself has a population of about 40000 people which in Summer, the months of June,July and August doubles it self. It has been said that the city has 365 churches, one for every day of the year, beautiful restaurants with authentic Macedonian food as well as accommodation to cater for the rich and not so rich tourists who want to see this gem of the Balkans. There are organised tours of the city as well as the country site and the ancient villages around Ohrid. The night life stops with the break of day light if that what you prefer or maybe a quiet dinner in one of the many restaurants in the CBD. The best way to get to Ohrid from Europe is by the flying to the capital of Macedonia, Skopje and then taking a bus or a taxi or a direct flight from most of the European countries with some of the budget airlines. Please put Ohrid in your calendar next time you visit the Balkans, I’m sure you will love it. See you in Ohrid in 2018, Cao.

The trip was marvelous, largely due to the guide (Shilis) and driver (Dushko).( Both spellings may be wrong.) My wife (80) has difficulty walking far or uphill but they chose our route carefuuly so that we saw every thing and then organized a boat to take us back to where we could get the car.
We will never forget Dushko holding out his arm for Mary-Lou every time we sterted walking with the words ("Come on girl" ).

Hi, we would like to book this trip for either 28oct or 29oct. We are 3 adults and 2 kids (7 and 4 yo). Is the price same for kids and adults? Also, on the boat, there will be other tourists of just us? If we wasn’t to skip some points and spend more time at others, that would be ok?
Thank you, looking forwards to your answers
