My flight was a little delayed so I showed up 20 minutes late to the pick up spot. The shuttle did not wait for me. So I had to get alternative transport and pay again. I landed at 1.30pm and in the arrivals area, you can get a shared taxi for $15pp to Antigua. I’d recommend doing this if you’re arriving in day light hours.

Horrible service. I received an email last night, telling me that the pickup time was 10:45. The shuttle didn’t arrive till 11:30. When I tried to contact the local office via WhatsApp, my called failed. Finally one of the hotel staff called and talked to them, the operator told her that she could not find my name or reservation using the confirmation no. We had to catch a plane in Guatemala City, so we started booking Uber, in the mean time the shuttle showed up, but the driver was looking for someone name Kathy. After showing our confirmation no he checked with his office and then agree to take us to the airport. I would never use this company or do any booking with Viator, it has been very difficult to get anyone to help us with this company.

I booked a shuttle with GuateGo from my hotel in Guatemala City to Panajachel. I confirmed with them via WhatsApp several times that the shuttle would pick me up at my hotel at 11am. While I was waiting at the beginning of the time window, I messaged them again to make sure. After waiting the full hour, the shuttle never came. After messaging them several more times, they told me that the company thought my shuttle was for later that day. I told them I had to get to Pana in time before the launchas stopped running, as I needed to get to a homestay in San Pedro. All they did is offer me the 1:30pm shuttle, which would arrive much too late. I also was concerned the shuttle would forget to pick me up once again. I asked if they could arrange an earlier transfer, and they refused. As such, I had to take a $120 uber to make it to Pana in time. GuateGo should have provided a transfer or offered compensation for my very expensive transport, after which I arrived the same time I would have had the shuttle not forgotten me, having waited several hours for the shuttle to arrive and then to try to sort out what happened. Avoid this company at all costs.

I also had my transfer back from Antigua to the airport today Jan 2nd. On both transfers they were on time and I'm very happy with their shuttle services. 100% recommended 👌

The transportation to Antigua was easy and efficient. However, the best experience I've had with this company is when things DIDN'T go right. The website was malfunctioning and I was charged three times for one ticket. I contacted customer support and they resolved the issue quickly and easily. Sometimes it's not about how a company does when things go right, but how well they do when things go wrong. And because of that great service, I will be using GuateGo anytime I need transportation in Guatemala!

Great shuttle service! They drove very safely, which made the journey comfortable and stress-free. A nice bonus was the USB-C ports making it easy to keep devices powered up. Highly recommend this reliable service!

We booked a private ride from Flores to Tikal and back. Unforeseen circumstances on our side necessitated last minute changes that the provider made amazing effort to accommodate. The trip was excellent, prompt, and safe. Our driver, Juan, was a great guy.

GuateGo is probably the easiest company to book shuttles through. 1st time traveler in Guatemala and booked everything online. They were also easy to message to Incase you wanted confirmation of shuttle arrival and notes. They helped me travel through Guatemala with ease for portions that needed a bus route. Drivers were all very friendly and considerate of making the trip in a timely manner. I highly recommend using their services especially if traveling solo. Much cheaper than getting am Uber by yourself, and you will be traveling with others like yourself if you want a conversation for the ride.

I went with GuateGo from Antigua to Lake Atittlan. It was crazy….they but us in an overcrowded bus and the drive drive really like crazy. Everyone buckled up and so we also had and accident. Luckily people were just slightly injured. Afterwards we should waited for the insurance (not the police !) 2,5 hours so we missed out boats in Panjachel. GuateGo didn’t feel responsible because they say they just take subproviders. And didn’t even give refund. I travel now only with chicken busses. It s honestly so much safer! I traveled now 55 countries in this world. From Nepal, Russia, Mongolia , Bolivia, Peru….but this company and their drivers bring people in danger! There are way better ways to go to lake attitlan or to Flores for example (maya de oro or the chicken busses)

Our driver was driving so fast and erratically on the mountain highway that I put my seatbelt on and minutes later he hit a car while changing lanes. The driver did not check and make sure the passengers were ok. I don't believe he asked the other driver if she was ok either. After standing on the side of busy highway for about 30 minutes I asked what was going on and was informed that he called for another bus that would take us to Pananjachel, however, it was obvious it would take at least 90 minutes for that bus to arrive. I and 4 other passengers decided to continue on by chicken bus and then a taxi from the encuentro to Panajachel. We made it to the last boat of the day and all reached our destinations, incurring additional costs in the process. I texted Guatego requesting a full refund and was refused, flat out, because we had all reached Panajachel, despite the fact that we had not been transported there by this company. AVOID THIS COMPANY and regardless of which company you choose WEAR YOUR SEATBELT.

Nosotros reservamos con 1 mes de anticipación nuestros viajes de la ciudad de Oaxaca a Mazunte y de Mazunte a Oaxaca y la compañía Guatego tuvo una muy deficiente comunicación y logística con la empresa que se suponía nos iba a proveer con los servicios de Shuttle. Los boletos no estaban reservados, Guatego culpaba a la compañía local de shuttle y la compañía local culpaba a Guatego de pobre comunicación, resultando en que nunca se reservaron nuestros lugares y a pesar de que pagamos 3 veces mas comprando los boletos en linea Guatego que si hubiéramos comprado nuestros boletos directamente en taquilla tuvimos que volver a comprar nuevamente todos nuestros boletos y pagar taxis extras por que Guatego nunca reservo los boletos por los que les habíamos pagado y termino culpándonos a nosotros los clientes por su ineficiencia. PESIMO SERVICIO, nunca aceptaron su responsabilidad, tuvimos que comprar nuevamente todos nuestros boletos localmente y ademas pagar taxis extras para no perder nuestros vuelos. /THE WORST SERVICE OF MY LIFE! We booked our trips from the city of Oaxaca to Mazunte and from Mazunte to Oaxaca one month in advance, and the company Guatego had very poor communication and logistics with the company that was supposed to provide us with shuttle services. The tickets were not reserved; Guatego blamed the local shuttle company, and the local company blamed Guatego for poor communication. As a result, our seats were never reserved, and despite paying three times more by buying the tickets online through Guatego than if we had purchased them directly at the ticket office, we had to repurchase all our tickets again and pay extra for taxis because Guatego never reserved the tickets we had paid for and ended up blaming us, the customers, for their inefficiency. TERRIBLE SERVICE, they never accepted responsibility. We had to repurchase all our tickets locally and also pay extra for taxis to avoid missing our flights.

We recently booked a private transport from the main city to Lake Atitilan. The driver Rudy was so accommodating and friendly . We felt very safe and secure with his driving for the long trip. This was money well spent and we rebooked for the return trip and had an equally great experience.

Terrible experience. Do not recommend! It was supposed to take max 2hrs from Guatemala City to Antigua. The shuttle showed up half an hour late, then drove us for 2 hrs all over Guatemala City picking up others 1 by 1. Also, we had to sit in the shuttle for 20+ mins waiting for them to locate the passengers they were picking up. We finally got on the road and traffic was terrible (not their fault). 4hrs later we get to Antigua and they drove passed our place several to drop off others despite us asking them to stop so we could get out. Ended up missing a wedding dinner. So I informed them that we are canceling our 7am return trip out of concern for missing our flight since it took that long. Then they text me at 8pm asking where we were! So they wouldn’t have even picked us up on time and we would have missed our flight! I explained all this to them and asked for a refund but they refused. Take home message do not use Guatego! Find someone else, taxi or Uber

Do not book with this company until you have shopped around / checked the price with your hostel / accomodation. We were on the same shuttle as people who had booked through our hostel and had paid half the price! Absolute rip off will not use again.

Driver was very professional and on time. I used this service to go from the airport to Panajachel and then Panajachel to Antigua and then back to the airport. Driver was on time every time.
