One of Amritsar's greatest attractions and its spiritual hub is the Sri Harmandir Sahib, commonly known as the Golden Temple. This is the holiest temple in the Sikh faith. Make sure you visit in the temple in morning and night to see how spectacular the temple looks. You can take a dip in the holy water. For men it’s an open bath area but for ladies is in closed area. Bring change and towel if you are doing this. Need to cover your heads all the time. Need go in bare foot . Everything is free 1. No entrance fee 2.Get free head gear for men outside the temple. The visit to Golden Temple is surreal especially if you are spiritual. The aura of the temple is enchanting and Mr.Ravish (tour guide) explained each detail comprehensively. His knowledge about the place and culture is immaculate. He takes a lot of effort to diligently explain each detail of the place.

The entire surrounding area of Golden Temple Complex starting from its approaching roads is clean and tidy and the people visiting the Temple are well guided throughout its entry and exit. There are more than adequate facilities for keeping luggage, footwear, washing hands, etc.that there is no pushing or pulling of people at any place. The people are very much disciplined, pious, helpful, and understand the difficulties faced by children, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons. Though most of the instructions are written in Punjabi script the announcements are made in Hindi and as such, no problem is faced by nonPunjabi understanding people. The atmosphere is serene, quiet, religious, brotherhoodly, and totally of PEACE and BLISS.

Before proceed to Kashmir tour we have made a hault at Amritsar for 2days to visit Golden Temple. This was my 2nd visit of Golden Temple and every time I was so charmed that a excellent temple had in India. Every persons who will visit the temple they must take lunch at their langar. very nice experience. it is a harged atmosphere one can see the indo pak border at the closest . very crowde but the function is very spectacular with lot of enthusiasm. it is about 30 km from amritsar . there is vip enclosure but you have to book in advance.

It was our first trip with all our college friends after long years, so we decided to go with a travel India with peace company for our New Delhi city tour and then of Amritsar.
