If you're trying to debate what tour is a "must-do' while in Israel, this one's the one! Absolutely phenomenal. Our guide Michael was so knowledgable and detailed about everything as well as very personable. We were fortunate with traffic the day we went so Michael was able to add a few interesting stops along the way too. This trip truly is an adventure as the name states! We crossed through rugged terrain, dipped into Oasis waterfalls, saw wild Ibex on mountainpeaks, and to end the day we relaxed floating in the dead sea in front of pools of hotsprings. The tour being in a car rather than a big tour bus made the experience far more intimate as well as allowing to travel to places busses can't go off the beaten path. On top of all that Michael provided a delicious picnic lunch prepared by himself! The day was long and absolutely epic, we can't thank Michael enough for such an incredible experience!

Wow, what a trip! Off-road through Israel, the desert, with coffee break in the Wadi and fantastic lunch in Ein Gedi, great trip and exciting information from Michael on top of Masada or the crazy off road trip to the death sea with great tips how to enjoy must the floating in the death sea and so many individual information customized to our requests and wishes … and the amazing lunch at the end - without any pressure to hurry up or the feeling that we are out of time …. Soooo many new things we learned and Michael is so calm and friendly and gave us so many great tips and site information about the country and history and coexistence of the different people and religions. „Security Officer“ Catrin, Kathrin 2 and I are so grateful to had this opportunity! Michael took us on an amazing adventure! I took my 22 year old daughter and 2 of her friends. He was fun, attentive, enthusiastic and helpful. We had a great time at every stop including an extra camel ride and a late dinner on the way home. If you like fun and adventure, this is a great day!

We originally booked a tour of Masada and The Dead Sea and soon after booking Michael phoned me to chat through our adventure. The day before the trip he contacted me again to advise me that the temperature was predicted to be 43 degrees (but will feel much hotter) and that it would be a good idea to change our plans as walking around Masada would be far too difficult in the heat. He gave us several options and we decided to do this trip instead. We visited a nature reserve where we walked through a cool stream, my boy rode a camel in the desert, we visited a baptismal site and bathed in the Jordanian river within spitting distance of Jordan and we had an extreme 4wd adventure of the Judean desert which was absolutely stunning. We had a homemade picnic lunch in a gorgeous canyon (with the best lemonade and pitta fillings in the world) and finished off relaxing in the Dead Sea on a private beach. Michael was so knowledgeable about the history and politics of this beautiful country and we were lucky enough to see some jackals. He made us feel like we were touring with family and we felt safe and looked after. He was great with the kids and involved them in everything. If we are fortunate enough to visit Israel again then I wouldn’t hesitate in booking more trips with Michael; he’s the best!

Michael was wonderful! Very knowledgeable about the area and Israel. We had just finished 4 weeks on an archeological excavation and didn’t want to rush about and spend all day in a vehicle- this was our BEST DAY EVER in Israel! Beautiful Wadi’s, old ruins, a private spot on the Dead Sea and dates! A absolutely perfect day at the perfect relaxing pace. The food Michael made for us was delicious and the mint lemonade very refreshing! This was the perfect birthday gift for my husband. We received a call from Michael the day prior to our tour to explain the extreme temperatures we will be facing on the 4x4 experience. He offered to take us on a 4/4 off-road adventure starting at midnight. The dead sea at night and Masada for the sunrise. It was truly the best decision and we will have memories that will last a lifetime. From our son encountering wild life, to Michael setting up a bonfire right on the Dead sea and stargazing while sipping coffee and tea. That was truly a nice touch! The entire time Michael kept us engaged and interested in our surroundings. We arrived in Masada right before sunrise, We were the first tram up and we experienced the entire citadel for ourselves for some time. Michael kept us engaged and was knowledgeable about the entire Masada experience. On the way back we stopped to have snacks and one last stop by the Dead Sea during the day. We had the privilege of embarking on this private day tour experience with Michael. From start to finish, Michael excelled in providing our group with a deep insight into the historical, cultural and natural significance of the areas in which we visited, incorporating a strong sense of adventure throughout. The tour included riding camels through the Judean Desert, exploring the ancient ruins of Masada, taking a dip into the natural waters of Ein Gedi and bathing in the Dead Sea, all with the comfort of a fully air conditioned off roading vehicle, adding to the adventurous nature of the day. Michael was also sure to provide us with a delicious home made lunch and provided refreshments throughout the trip which were extremely welcome. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Definitely, book this tour with Michael. He was fantastic from start to finish. He contacted me straight away after booking to explain the tour in more detail and on the day nothing was too much trouble. We loved the fact it was a private tour for four. We travelled off road making the whole experience even more exciting with the finale being taken to where the locals bathe in the Dead Sea. Michael explained the history so well at all locations and provided drinks and a delicious picnic lunch. I can’t wait until our next time when I can share the experience with my husband who sadly couldn’t make the trip to Israel this time. Thank you Michael for a fantastic day.

Michael was an excellent tour guide. He provided great historical and general information during every stop on the tour. The best part was that it was a personal tour for my family. Next time I’m in Israel, I’m definitely going to book another tour with Michael.

Michael Gordon, our tour guide, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and kept my daughters (11&13) engaged. We got to go to natural springs (with a pool with fish that nibble on your feet to get rid of the dead skin), saw an Ancient Greek orthodox monastery, went on camel rides and ended the day floating in the Dead Sea. Michael also provided home made salads that were delicious that even my picky eating kids enjoyed. It was the best day out of our 9 day trip.

Excellent day trip; incredible places to visit and to experience Israeli culture. Michael made it very special, educational and adventurous; I think we got the best of each place. Michael was flexible so that each would enjoy and not miss a piece; fun for all ages. I really appreciated that my daughter (12 yo) got immersed in the adventure the whole trip. Loved the coffee shop, all animals on the road…. We saw an ibex herd; more than 50 ibexes crossing the road in the Judea Dessert. Great 4x4, we couldn’t believe.

We had a fantastic time on our Masada, Ein Gedi, Dead Sea adventure! Michael was very punctual and extremely knowledgeable and planned the day out perfectly. We learned a lot while exploring and I know we got to see corners of the desert very off the beaten tourist track. Michael seems to have thought of everything - the lemonade/tea, the headrests for floating in the Dead Sea.... the best part was having our own little corner of the Dead Sea all to ourselves. We truly enjoyed this experience. I'd definitely book another trip with Michael next time I visit!
